He appreciates the doctor taking a look at his new tests. Kate saunters up and she has overheard. She sits down and refuses to desert him in his hour of need. He refuses to get personal with the likes of her. She offers to listen regardless. And she will not take no for an answer! If his abilities are impaired, then he could be a liability to the hospital. Her concern is genuine and she knows what an amazing doctor he is. He saved her life and her son's life, for which she is eternally grateful. Dan has stood up. Kate points out Maggie would sugarcoat the truth, but she will give him the truth, painful though it may be. Dan considers. He then takes her up on her offer. The latest test results showed nothing so he wants more tests and a cat scan run. Kate thinks he should not leap to something. Perhaps it is nothing that bad. Dan notes she is not smiling about him suffering. She does not enjoy seeing him in pain. Dan retorts it is the DiMera way to enjoy the pain and suffering of others! Kate looks away. - Gabi and Mel are working together at the spa. Gabi admires a shirtless extra. She gushes this place is full of hotness! Mel explains she does not think many hot guys will be getting botox injections. She wonders if Gabi is over Will. Gabi just realized it was time to cut her losses. - Abigail and Chad are at the house together. She informs him that she has been confused. About them? About everything. But he is an amazing boyfriend. She does not want to mess them up. He is baffled about what she really means but the doorbell interrupts. Tis Austin .She blushes after she opens the door. Turns out he has papers for Jen. Abigail regains her composure and promises to pass them on to her. Chad comes out and wonders if they can get a lift. Austin is obliging. - Marlena opens her door to Will. He cheerfully reminds her they are supposed to continue their game. She will get to it later. Will perceives something is wrong. Marlena assures him she is fine. Will marvels at her and John's true love. She wonders if he has considering moving in. He is undecided, as Rafe counts on his help with the kids. He would feel badly bailing. Marlena notes he is deflecting because what he is really struggling with has nothing to do with where he lives! Will sighs. He claims moving is not easy. Marlena reminds him he admitted he was confused about his FEELINGS. Will quips it is no big deal. Marlena wonders if it would be easier for him to open up to a non-relative. Negative. He only wants to talk to her. Marlena promises nothing would push him away from her, but keeping these feelings inside will only hurt him. They sit and she proceeds to rehash what happened with Gabi. Will gets upset and wants her to stop. He is fine! He then apologizes for having yelled. Marlena is understanding, yet this is what happens when one keeps one's feelings inside. Will sniffles he cannot think about this now. Marlena believes he cannot think about anything else. Will cries he just wants to be able to breathe again. Marlena says she knows. Will recalls how he kept making excuses about why he could not be with Gabi. He cared about her, just not the way she needed him to. He wanted to be the guy she wanted, but it felt fake. Gabi felt it and called him on it. - Stefano is smoking a cigar at the mansion. John storms in and calls him a bastard. The phoenix had thought he would be happier to be out of prison. John hopes he was not waiting for a thank you. Stefano taunts he should be at home, in the bosom of his loved one. Someone should talk to him about his prrrriorities. John wants him to shut up and warns he will never owe him a damn thing! He tells him what he knows he did. However, accepting help from him was like trading one cell for another. AND if he comes near him or his family members again, he will kill him with his bare hands! The phoenix muses he is either a fool or incredibly selfish. John notes he put it all on the line just to get at him this time. "Yes," admits the phoenix. "I am the reason that you are here." John drawls then he admits he set him up. Stefano bursts out laughing and states he was only admitting he helped him, due to a debt to Alice Horton, who saved his son's life. He is a man of his word. John growls he never wanted his help. "I gave you yourrrrrr life back!" thunders Stefano. He grumbles all John wants is for him to take his last breath. He hands him a gun and dares him to take his life right here right now. John's eyes narrow. Stefano taunts him that he is his well trained killing machine. John points the gun, then drops his hand. "You are insane!" He gets even madder when Stefano brings up his lovely queen of the night. He had better not talk about her or else! Stefano purrs he cannot survive without him. In fact, he knows that he needs him! John puts the gun down and declares he is a better man than him. Otherwise, he would have killed him. Stefano remarks the only reason he did not pull the trigger was due to pride. And he knows the real object of his fury happens to be his wife! John stares. Ominous music is heard. - Gabi and Mel are at the town square and meet up with Austin, Sonny, Chad, and Abigail. Mel and Chad gaze at each other for a moment. Gabi notices Professor Austin has a book about ending relationships. Abigail turns and asks why he is reading a book like that! - Kate follows Dan and insists she is no monster. She was in love with him once. Dan asks what she is doing. Kate just does not want him to jump to the worst conclusion about his trembling hand. He repeats what is she doing? She gets choked up about the compassion he once showed her. She will never forget ... - Austin points out the staff were given copies of the relationship book at the last meeting. It was written by a psychology professor. He goes on to explain some people stay together as one does not want to hurt the other. Bottom line is, one must be with one's soulmate. Gabi mentions breaking up with Will. Austin thinks she did the right thing. Sonny announces he must make for the pub to meet a friend. Ring ring! Austin steps away to take a call from Carrie. Gabi steps away to call Rafe. Mel stares at Abigail and Chad, who appear to be very close. - Back at the condo, Will cries he cannot continue.
