She reads from the book of poetry he gave her once upon a time and calls it romantic. Shirtless Bo snores jokingly. He wonders why she is reading from the old book, as he also presented her with the new version. For sentimental reasons. She is attached to this one. He drawls he is sentimentally attached to her and they start to kiss. Afterwards, they are out of breath, lying blissfully in each others' arms. Ciara is with Caroline and her new bike. Hope kisses Bo and states she is starving. He announces he will make pancakes and gets out of bed. Hope now takes out Alice's latest clue - the key - and studies it. Bo is soon back with the food and notices Hope noticing the key. He thinks it might have been a random key that fell into the mold. Hope, however, is convinced it is a sign from gran. She still has no idea what the BIG secret is, though she is sure these little clues lead to one. Bo informs her he contacted the man who made the plaque and he is making a new one. Hope is pleased. - Madison and shirtless Brady snuggle at her place. She beats him at another game. They are soooo late for work but don't care and start to make out. They then lie in each others' arms and marvel how late they are. She thinks this is the best time spent and they continue their lovefest. - John returns to the condo from his morning run. Rafe, Carrie, and Marlena await. John is very upbeat. He is ready to liquidate the company to do right by those who lost money and heads to the shower. Carrie wonders if Marlena wants to come clean about Stefano helping get him out. Marlena does not think so. Later John is dressed and Carrie explains she has met with the board members. This can be done but it is going to be tight. Rafe points out he built that company and this could wipe him out. John drawls then they will rebuild. He and doc are ready to make the necessary sacrifices. Marlena smiles they have everything they need already and looks at him lovingly. - Kate shows up at Sami's place and elegantly demands to know if she will come work for her or not! This would be a great career opportunity. Sami confesses she is worried she is just out to get her. Kate assures her there is no secret agenda. Sami would still like to know why she wishes to work with her. Cos she is selfish and wants the best. She knows how much she did for Mad World and lists her various ideas. Sami is surprised but feels she would be making a deal with the devil. Why is she doing this? She knows she hates her. Kate points out she hurt her sons and implies that is in the past. She reminds her that she has helped her before. They happen to be family cos of the grandkids. She sees herself in Sami. They are alike! She adds hiring her is actually the last thing she wants to do. Sami snaps they cannot stand each other. Kate agrees. However, she does respect her. Sami remains doubtful. Kate reminds her she doubled her salary. Sami wants it written down. Kate assures her there will be a contract and hands her the big number. Sami stares. Kate now dangles perks. Sami laments Madison is a control freak. Kate promises her she is not and she pays her people well. As Rafe is not working and they need the money, Sami agrees they have a deal. She was working from home today, due to the fact that Johnny has a sore throat. Kate wants her to go quit while she sits with Johnny. - Bo and Hope meet with the plaque maker at the town square. He thinks that mold was so strong it must have been an act of God that broke it! He has a new one almost ready. Turns out the replacement cost was covered in the original order. Bo is baffled. Hope has a question and holds up the key. Does he have any idea how it came to be in the plaque? He does indeed, for he was the one who put it there. He was ordered to. - Madison and Brady return to the office. Sami solemnly states she needs to say something. "I QUIT!" Madison glares daggers at her. Sami puts her jacket on. Brady asks whether Rafe got a job out of town. No. Madison is curious if she needs time off. Sami explains it was not an easy decision for her. Mad snaps she is heading up a new campaign so why walk away now! Sami calmly replies she is giving her two weeks notice. Madison reminds her this was her dream job. Sami replies she found a better one. Brady wants to know where. At Countess Wilhelmina, working for Kate DiMera ...! - Back at the condo, Rafe promises John that he will keep looking for the missing money. John drawls he would hire him as head of security if he got the company up and running again! He now marvels what were the chances of them finding out about the internet outage!Carrie and Marlena grow silent. John senses something is amiss and wants to know what is going on. Marlena solemnly decides she must come clean and asks for their privacy. Exit Carrie and Rafe. Marlena informs him that Carrie and Rafe had some help. John's eyes narrow. - The plaque maker tells Bo and Hope that Alice's lawyer said Alice had wanted the key left in the mold, though he knows nothing more about it. Once he is gone, Hope wonders what is going on. What secret was Alice hiding?! - Kate is watching Johnny color. She now gets a call from Stefano and purrs she is babysitting Johnny whilst Sami gives notice to her employer. All is proceeding according to their plan ...! - At the loft, Marlena starts to explain to John she simply could not face the thought of her life without him. He wants her to come out and say it. She updates him on the note from Alice, which was promissory, and happened to work in helping free him. He assumes it was from Interpol. No, but it was indeed from someone with great power.
