Apparently he is not coming home now and she is disappointed. There shall be no family dinner. Ciara jumps up, throws her pink backpack on the ground, and chants that Hope lied to her, her eyes blazing. Hope promises they will soon have a family dinner. Ciara screams it is a lie and wrestles with her for the fallen backpack. Brady to the rescue! He puts his arms around her, and wants to know what is the matter. She sighs she misses her daddy. Hope looks ready to cry. Brady assures the small girl it is alright and keeps his arms around her. No one notices the envelope now slightly visible in the pink backpack. Ciara laments other kids do not have to miss their parents for a long time the way she does. Hope woefully admits they have both done that, herself and Bo, and steps away to try and call Bo back. Brady will stay and watch the girl. He informs Ciara, who sits on his knee, that as a boy, he did not like it when his daddy was gone. He knew he did not like it either, just as papa Bo probably does not. Ciara innocently wonders if he sees his daddy nowadays. Pause. Kristen confronts grinning John as he enters her office. Her cat eyes glare at him from behind her desk and she announces this game ends today! John acts amused. She gives him back the gift and insults it. He muses he assumed she would enjoy the memories, given the nostalgic photos she recently gave him. She shoves the jersey at him and he notes she could have used the mail or destroyed it but she did not. Much to her dismay, he lovingly calls her Kristy and insists she is the one who is keeping their past alive. She stands up and denies it. He grins she wished to see him face to face. She sarcastically states this will not work and he will not ruin her relationship with Brady. John claims he would not have given her the gift back had he known it would be such a big deal. She informs him Brady is angry. Johns’ eyes narrow as he wonders what would happen if he gave her not just this gift but the whole thing. She orders him out. John reminds her she was the one who summoned him so now they are gonna put all their cards on the table, face up! They are standing close and the tension in the air is thick. Dan credits Nicole with alerting him to Chloe’s shenanigans. He credits her with doing the right thing, helping him get back Jen and his son, and wishes to thank her. He also thanks Eric for looking out for her. She deserves a break. Eric gets a guilty look on his face and forces a smile. Nicole soon arrives at the now empty office and proceeds to place her belongings in a box. Enter Father Hunky. Their eyes lock. After assuring her he is not there to prevent any thefts, he insists she should not quit. Dan and Jen came by. Nicole is baffled. He explains they wished to thank her for stepping up and helping Dan keep Jen and also his son. He thinks she was doing the right thing. And he knows there is no her and Vargas. She teases she likes to mix things up. He teases her about her record and grins she is still a good person. "I want you to stay," he breathes. She feels the same way and wonders if he really wants her there. He warmly gazes at her ... The hospital honcho is meeting with Jen, who apologizes for her past mistakes. She hopes to get her job back. Burns smiles there have been letters from staff about having her back. He has the best interest of the hospital at heart and so he welcomes her back. She jumps up, gasps yes, and gets a hearty welcome back from Maxine, queen of the castle. All is well. That is, until Anne appears and grimaces. "You gotta be kidding me!" Maxine rages at her for being a lying, conniving ... Jen assures her it is okay and the nurse departs after grumbling she has her eye on that one! Jen sweetly suggests they start over. Anne does not think so and reminds her of Chloe. Jen reminds her she helped Chloe. She was a fool to get drawn into her scheme. She tells her off for trying to get Cam the good doctor fired and calls her a liar and manipulator. She now suggests she clear out of her office and steer clear of her. Then and only then she just might be able to hang onto her own job, which entails reporting to her new boss Jen! Dan is playing with Parker on the floor of the ornate Kiriakis mansion. Jen, the girl in the pink sweater, arrives and exclaims she did it, she got her job back! Dan presents her with a candled cupcake, while Parker made a card. Jen decides she will not make a wish as she has everything she wants. Parker blows out the candle and smiles a big smile when the fair Jen gives him the sweet cupcake. Dan places his arms around his beloved. Eric emotionally tells Nicole he wants them to stay friends. She hopes they can be friends forever. He whispers he likes the sound of that and they slowly shake hands, as though in a dream. Nicole's face is filled with joy ... Brady informs Ciara he saw his dad last night. She sighs she and her mommy made chili for her daddy. He assures her that chili can be frozen and saved for the next time. Someone texts him. She wonders whether it is Kristen, then smiles naughtily. "I know something about your girlfriend!" Brady wonders what that would be. Flustered Kirsten shoves the jersey at John and orders him out. Their faces are close and he roguishly raises an eyebrow, his grin seductive. Kristen is mesmerized. Tick tock! END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Will and Sami prepare to face the phoenix. They want Nick neutralized! Rafe insists to Kate he is ready to move forward. |
