Episode 12,103 - Outside the pub, Marlena confidently insists on talking to Kristen about a workable future. She snaps to get outta town and not come back! Kristen licks her already wet lips and gets sarcastic. The blonde heroine warns her the cops will come after her so she is delusional if she thinks she can have a happy life in Salem. Kristen leers she is really just scared she will get close to John. Marlena laughs out loud. If she wants John, then honey should go for it! Kristen cackles she too told John they were done. It seems they had the same idea. How ironic. Marlena notes Kristen came to town to destroy Jarlena but she ended up hurting herself the most. They will all rebuild their lives yet she will not. Her only chance at love is gone forever. Meanwhile John has cornered Brady and assures his son he made the right decision. Brady bitterly growls maybe for him! He knows all about the setup to find him with Kristen. He is disgusted. John insists Kristen was using him to hurt him. He wanted to spare him a lifetime of pain with the she devil. Brady gets angrier. John drawls she was coming onto him the whole time she was conning him. Brady has admitted he was wrong about her. He now dares his father to swear he does not want her anymore cos he sure doubts it! John make a face. Brady rages he too was playing games with him and accuses him of trying to show he was the real man. He did not want Kristen to have anyone else and he is just like her! Matter of fact, he should go be with her cos they sure deserve each other! - Will is eating in his room as Sonny informs him there are cops all over the hospital. They wonder. Will gets ketchup on himself. Sonny teases new daddy should get used to getting food on himself. He smiles he stopped by the nursery and Ari was the only one there not crying. But babies do cry sometimes so they will have to expect it. Will notes Gabi wanted the perfect life with Nick and now it is no more. Their breakup might upset Gabi and therefore the baby. It concerns him. Outside the room, Kate learns from Dr. Kayla that the cop Sami shot is in the OR. Kate cannot believe she actually shot a cop! Meanwhile, Sami stammers about the knife, the guy in Rafe’s room. Abe exclaims cops often work together. Sami insists this guy wanted Rafe dead. Hope points out the guy who attacked Rafe was already dead so there was no clear and present danger to him. EJ stares darkly as Sami suddenly realizes the two detectives suspect her of shooting an innocent man! EJ intervenes and drawls the knife must have slid out of sight. He suggests another search. Abe probes why Sami was sure he was there to harm Rafe. They clearly see she is not forthcoming. EJ now decides his client will not be answering questions for the police any longer. They explain they are not charging her. Abe sighs that the police department spares no mercy when one of their own is gunned down. Hope advises Sami to stick around. Sami screams she was right to save Rafe. Exit Abe and Hope. Sami slams the door and gasps to EJ that Bernardi was Stefano’s goon. He was on his payroll. Therefore, the order to kill Rafe originated from Stefano! - Kate and Maxine discuss Gabi and the baby. Kate assures her she will make sure they get everything they need, including a place to stay. Moments later, the distraught wife and little boy of Detective Bernardi arrive. The wife worriedly talks to Kayla, who tries to assure her he still has a chance. The almost widow cries. She and her son now sit and wait and wait. Nearby, in their waiting room, EJ reasons to Sami that they do not know for a fact that fatha ordered Bernardi to kill Rafe. Sami hopes he believes her. EJ does indeed, though he questions why she was with Rafe in the first place. Sami cannot believe he is jealous. If not for her presence, Rafe would be dead. Is that what he wishes?! EJ snaps he would rather not see her in this mess. He notes they need the weapon or else she will be accused of shooting a cop in the back, leading to life in prison. He does not want the motha of his children to rot in prison and urges her to think before she acts. This is serious. She looks up at him with frightened blue eyes. EJ worries Bernardi will tell all when he wakes up. Sami points out then he would have to tell them he was Stefano’s mole. EJ growls maybe he will do it. Sami gasps then she would seem to have a motive, given that he had the evidence on Will. EJ just wants her to open her eyes. Sami is exasperated too as she did nothing wrong! He sits down and solemnly suggests they pray the police find the knife. He is committed to clearing her name. Sami wonders whether a friend of Bernardi’s took the knife, to cover for him. EJ decides to go check it out and asks her to stay put. Before he departs, she whispers he is the man she loves ... - Abe and Hope gingerly enter the scene of Rafe’s alleged almost attack. They are wearing evidence gloves and the Salem patient has been moved. Hope remarks they need to find that knife or else big trouble looms for Sami! - Sonny is wiping ketchup from Will’s face when Kate enters with news of the shot man who allegedly tried to attack Rafe. Will wonders who shot him. Kate warns she cannot soften it. His mother did it! Will frowns. - Kristen accuses Marlena of ruining everything. She could have had John and Kristen would have had Brady. Marlena leers she has no regrets. In Salem, Kristen will always be reminded of what she lost. She advises her to disappear again at least for another decade or two. She flounces off with her dignity intact. Kristen throws her bag in rage. John saunters by and she peers at him through her disheveled mane. He muses it must be a bad day. She gets glib and too literary for his liking. She sarcastically assures him Marlena will forgive him. John drawls his son hates her so the sacrifice was worth it. The she devil questions that, since he just lost the love of his life, his precious doc. John remarks she is getting off on his pain. She is only happy when hurting others! He can see it in her bright eyes, her crazy flushed cheeks. - Brady is surprised to find Marlena on his doorstep. She has but one question. Is he okay? Pause. - Will quietly wonders whether mama Sami will be okay. Sonny wonders why she had a gun. Kate explains the cops are questioning Sami and she was the one who gave her the gun. At least said gun prevented the guy from killing Rafe. Sonny assumes it must have been a criminal Rafe put in prison. Not exactly. It was a police detective! Will woefully shakes his head. Meanwhile, EJ follows Hope and Abe, who have still not found the mysterious knife. He arrogantly advises the floundering pair to search the vent and elegantly puts on some gloves.
