And he wishes others would stop pulling away from him. The lost soul now begs his brother to attend his wedding. Eric will not do that to his mother and walks out after muttering his apologies. Nicole is just entering and asks Brady what happened. He will only admit it is a bad day. She suggests they discuss but Brady would rather not. She pulls a gift out of her leather designer bag to cheer him up. He wonders what it is. Something meaningful, though she forgot what. He chuckles. She notes there is no need to be nervous for the wedding is not exactly big. He sighs it keeps getting smaller and she reaches out to hold his hand. Brady claims he cares not about John not attending. She suspects he cares about his brother not attending, though. Brady suddenly decides the time has come to go. Nicole realizes he left the gift behind. However, she might have something even better ... Ciara and Johnny engage in a dramatic tug of war for the envelope. Caroline intervenes and fixes Ciara’s barrette. Johnny the mini Stefano has his eye on the envelope now sticking out of the pink backpack and he is not giving up ... John gets closer and closer to Kristen, who appears to swoon. She then suddenly slaps him across the face, vows to marry Brady tomorrow, and storms off. John raises an eyebrow. Kristen pauses in the park, praises herself for playing it well, and goes on her way. John spies the dropped paper on the ground. Naturally he picks it up and opens it. Tis confirmation of a room at the Salem Inn. He certainly has what he needs now! Gabi asks after Rafe. Nick notes he is the same, no change. Gabi does not answer when EJ offers to help if she needs anything. After EJ steps away, she informs Nick she went to see Hope. She adds they did not find a bakery bag at the scene of the crime. Nick coincidentally presented her with the same kind of muffin from the same bakery! In addition, Rafe had been about to tell her something important about Nick! Might he know what it was? Nick flashes back to Rafe threatening to enlighten his sister on the kind of man he was. Back to reality. Nick feigns indignance. He hopes Gabi does not actually think he was involved in what happened to Rafe ... Will and Sonny now arrive and Nick ushers her outside for some air. The bad guy with the flowers emerges, notices them getting in the elevator, and leaves the flowers in the garbage. Will and Sonny agree that was a strange moment with Nick and Gabi and decide to go after them. Within minutes, Gabi and Nick find themselves at the town square. Nick talks in circles. He cannot believe Gabi thinks he might have beaten up her brother and taken his muffin to her. Gabi knows it was Rafe’s but Nick implores her to believe him. Enter the bad guy. The threat of danger in his voice, he taunts Nick that he recognizes him from behind and leers it has been a while. Nick turns around in shock. Nicole approaches Eric at his rectory office. She was just talking to his grandma, who admires him greatly. She casually wonders whether he is attending Brady and Kristen’s wedding. Eric flashes back to Kristen insulting mother Marlena. He is definitely NOT going. Kristen reasons they are brothers but Eric glowers Brady will be just fine with bride Kristen! Hope is in a hurry to take Ciara home. Johnny apologizes for making her mad. Once she is gone, he smiles like the DiMera cat that just got the canary! Brady returns to the mansion, where Kristen kisses and hugs him, gushing that tomorrow will be the happiest day of their lives! Brady pulls away and laments he saw his obsessed father. He senses he was following her too. She admits he caught up with her and lies she ignored him. Brady updates her on Marlena the crying mess not giving up on John. Kristen laughs they might fall back in love, reminds Mr. Black she wants only him, and they kiss. Kristen soon enjoys a glass of expensive champagne. As luck would have it, Brady has a work matter to attend to. She promises to keep his champagne chilled and kisses him before he goes. Alone again, the schemestress places a hand on her hip and talks to herself. She will not change her plan because then John and Marlena would reconcile. She will not have it! They are never ever getting back together. She smugly admires the garden view from the side doors of the DiMera mansion, feeling on top of the world. Sami sits at the coffee house, thoughts of people’s warnings, EJ’s past swirling through her head. He was the mastermind of Sydney’s kidnapping and punched Rafe, who exposed him with proof. He had wanted to marry her after his deception, too. EJ now joins her at the table with a charming grin, but alas, she is not smiling. He kisses his beloved and charmingly wonders wot is wrong. Sami gets straight to the point. Did he have anything to do with what happened to Rafe? Gabi recognizes Nick’s strange old contact from the pub. Nick wants to go and gets tense when the man suggests they go somewhere more private, his voice oozing danger. Gabi asks what is the matter. Nick suggests Gabi give them a minute. Jensen leers the pretty woman should tag along cos she will surely be interested in all the stories he has to tell! Hope is back in her office with Ciara when she gets a call about a prisoner who could be connected to Rafe’s attack. She exclaims she was not aware of it, as she did not get the paperwork! Meanwhile Ciara takes out her envelope. But back at the pub, Johnny has the prized picture in his possession! Marlena and Caroline stand nearby discussing Kristen’s manipulations. Johnny hastily hides the stolen photo in his backpack. Tick tock! John folds the hotel documentation, places it in his pocket and drawls that after tonight, Kristen and Brady will be done forever!
