| DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Wednesday, May 15, 2013 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Family Feud! Part 2 Nicole gives the Salem patient a pep talk. He is needed by many in Salem! She sits as the machines beep and teases he must cut this spa treatment short. She gushes he is the kind of man people can turn to in times of trouble. He must come back to them so he can keep saving the world! She breaks down and cries things are not as good without him! Out in the hall, Marlena greets Eric and gets an update. John stands nearby. Marlena fears it is not over and wants to go in. Eric explains Dan is making his rounds. John goes to find him. Marlena is surprised Sami is not here. Eric explains she was present yesterday. She wonders if they know who did this. No and he was found unconscious. The blonde now decides to go talk to Sami. John insists on coming with her if she is headed for the dangerous DiMera mansion. He asks the nurse to cancel that page on the doctor. Eric stares. EJ airily states he did not harm Rafe, nor did fatha. He enlightens Kristen on Kate and Rafe’s affair and bursts out laughing. Kristen is appalled. He laughs it is all quite nauseating. However, by the time Stefano found out, Rafe was already in hospital. And the attack was certainly not ordered by him, for that would have compromised his happiness with Samantha. Kristen gets upset this has affected her relationship with Brady. What about her happiness! Does no one care about that! Brady now returns with official word from the hospital. Rafe is critical and EJ is a suspect! Anything he just told her must have been a lie! EJ keeps his composure and decides to go find Samantha. Brady demands to know what he said. Kristen tells him. Brady is livid his friend might not make it. He knows for a fact that EJ and Stefano despise him! Kristen assures him EJ can account for his time. Brady rages he bore witness to that one in action, the way he used others to do his bidding, like he did with Anna, when she had Sami’s baby. He thinks EJ looks too smug. And how will he be able to get through their wedding at this house tomorrow with her sinister father and brother present? Furthermore, he does not want to live in this house, near them, nor does he want them near any kid they adopt! He leers she would feel the same if only she opened her eyes and storms out. Kristen clutches her head. She paces like a cat and recalls Brady’s words, the words of her father, her seedy plan. She holds her head and the voices get louder and faster. The voices become jumbled and she snaps, tearing apart the flowers before her, in tears. Brady stands in the doorway and stares at the scene. Abigail is asked to take JJ to Salem High for summer school registration. They are starting over. JJ humors his mother and exits with his sister, holding the form he was given. Jen gets a faraway look in her eye. Dan soon arrives and unhappily tells her about Rafe. He is deeply affected as Rafe is his friend. Dan hangs his head and Jen asks what she can do. He sighs he came to see her, to make sure the family is okay. She explains Abigail is out with JJ. He perceives something weighs on her mind. She insists there is nothing wrong with them and they start to kiss. Meanwhile, at the town square, JJ tries to claim to Abigail that he was unfairly accused. Her phone rings with a shocking text. Her friend’s brother was badly beaten and might not wake up! She hopes JJ can see himself home and takes off. JJ soon returns to Horton house, unaware that there is a visitor. He opens the door and walks in on his mother and a man who is not his father passionately kissing on the couch like a couple of teenagers. Back at the rectory, Father Eric sips his holy coffee as he and Nicole discuss the unholy attack on Rafe. She feels guilty about her past actions. What if noble Rafe is lying in a coma because he chose to help her dupe EJ that he was the father of her baby once upon a desperate time?! She does not want him to die without knowing how much she appreciates him. The priest tries to comfort her and tenderly touches her arm. She jumps up with a start and implores him not to do that. He stands up with her and wonders what is the matter. She should just say if she has a problem with him. She whispers she does not. He murmurs they have a history and so sometimes he forgets himself. Nicole gasps he cannot make her feel better about what happened to Rafe anyway. And what if the enemy responsible comes back to finish the job? Outside the pub, Marlena coolly informs concerned John he does not need to escort her around as she searches for Sami. John suddenly announces this has to end right now! She whispers for him to say what he means. Pause. Tormented John laments he cannot make any promises about the fuzzy future. Therefore if a divorce would make her feel better, so be it. EJ shows up at the hospital again and asks the cop guard to allow him access to the patient. The cop refuses. The nurse attending to Rafe hastily closes the blinds. EJ blinks and departs. Baffled Brady wonders what Kristen is doing. She sends flowers flying and cries he hates both her brother and father! He needs to do some soul searching, for she is a DiMera, no apologies, and will not turn her back on her family! If he cannot accept that fact, then perhaps they should call the whole thing off!
