She will not accept and flirts it was fun. She mentions JJ being back. Chad is surprised he is not in school. Abigail alludes to the fact that her 17 year old brother is a troublemaker. Chad muses just like he used to be! He now starts to gossip about Will's mom, then spies Abigail’s phone ringing. Tis her doctor friend! He teases he will not let her have the phone. She blushes again. Abigail takes her call. As it turns out, Cam the busy doctor must cancel their date. She happily informs him she was just helping Chad at the coffee house. Busy Cam promises to make it up to her. Chad clears tables and sarcastically asks about Apollo. She wonders whether he wants to cause mischief for her and Cameron. Chad admires the pretty girl like a young guy and dares to ask if it is too late. He bites his lower lip. She gazes up at him, stammering about her relationship with Cameron. They picked up where they left off. Chad frowns and plays with some coffee lids. Abigail asks what is bothering him. He starts to wonder about her virginity, which she jokes is intact. Chad gets to the point, difficult as it may seem. He refers to their New Year’s Eve kiss. The flashback of said tender kiss is shown. Chad adds he blew it when he had a chance. She agrees he was a jackass. He laments he may have ruined a chance at something wonderful with her, then wonders if he still might stand a chance. Abigail nervously notes he has customers, bids him a good night, and scurries out clutching her stylish handbag. Pause. Chadman smirks the girl did not say no! Sonny and Will find Kate sitting alone in a room. She updates them on her confrontation with Stefano, how she let the truth slip, assuming he was after revenge. Alas she was wrong. The phoenix was shocked. Will now discovers that EJ and Stefano and Sami all know about her affair with Rafe. Kate sighs she has only herself to blame for the secret coming out. Will offers her coffee. Kate intends to stay nearby for Rafe. She suggests Will and Sonny go for coffee, for it is going to be a long night at the hospital. Will reassures her Rafe will make it. She sadly states he has to. Sonny looks intense. Stefano’s world has suddenly become as grey as his suit, unlike his hot temper. Alone at the mansion, his eyes flashing with the fury of hell, he smashes his expensive glass against the fireplace. "You son of a bitch!" he thunders. Oh oh! Hope informs Sami and EJ that when attacked, Rafe was on his way to give EJ an FBI jacket for Johnny. Ominous music plays. Bewildered Sami turns around. Is it so? EJ confirms they were to meet at the pub so he could pick up the jacket. He waited, had no idea why he was a no show, and assumed it must be police business. Hope is snappy and suspicious. Sami cannot believe she is addressing her fiance like a common suspect. Hope frowns that is because he is a suspect! Nick sends Gabi on her way when he gets a phone message. The money he placed on the market is going up and up ... all $30,000of it! He remembers Vargas’s order to make him big money in a questionable white collar way , Nick assuring him he was looking into opportunities. Back to reality. Nick raises a fist in victory and goes after Gabi. Meanwhile Kay and Cam review the test results as they stand by the patient. Outside the room, Sami defends EJ, who should not be a suspect. Rafe was almost beaten to death! Gabi now comes running back with Nick, anxious to learn the test results. Kayla announces they need her permission. Rafe’s brain needs rest and the best option would be a medically induced coma. It would be a good thing to slow him down in order to help the swelling go down. There are risks, however. Gabi is nervous. Sami asks if it is the only option. Kay admits it is and points out the procedure worked wonders with Bo. Gabi must make the decision as the next of kin. She agrees. Kate thinks she has made the right choice. Cam steps away to prepare the paperwork. Will and Sonny walk outside by the pretty trees and spring flowers. Will sighs it was tough to see Rafe like that. He was with his mom a long time. They agree he is a great guy and so supportive of the baby situation. Will hopes he will be the same after he comes out of this. Sonny appears hopeful too. They sit and talk. Will explains he is sorry he made his life complicated. Sonny muses his life was simple but he was not in love and happy. Will points out he is a handsome man who could have anyone. He is reckless and about to be a father. He feels he is partially to blame if Nick attacked Rafe but Sonny states Nick had an alibi and therefore did not attack Rafe. He wants Will to stop blaming himself and promises he will always have him. They walk away together, arm in arm, solid as a rock. Back at the hospital, Kayla announces the time has come to just do it. Cam stands and observes as Rafe is placed in the coma. Sami is comforted by EJ. Gabi is comforted by Nick. Kate stands all alone. Hope gives EJ the evil eye and takes out her phone. Meanwhile, Rafe enters the empty world of the coma, while his unknown attacker remains at large ... END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives Rafe's attack drives a wedge between Kristen and Brady, Jen learns JJ is a liar, John and Marlena talk divorce. |
