Part 2 Nicole is miffed she was not able to enlist Father Matt’s assistance as her gaze wanders out the rectory window. She laments out loud that Eric will get hurt! Caroline has just walked in and sternly states no one will hurt Eric! Nicole explains she feels Eric is making a mistake. Caroline wants to know what mistake and accidentally calls her Chloe. Nicole updates her on the halfway project of the church, the fact that an ex con is going to be rehabilitated at the rectory. Carline advises her to trust Eric’s judgment just as she does and leaves Nicole alone to ponder. At the coffee house, John tells Brady how being in Italy reminded him of his mother, whom he loved a great deal. He is determined to hold onto his last link to Izzy B, hence his acceptance of Kristen. Brady has misgivings and reminds him what he said New Year’s Eve. He suggests he lied. John laments he was upset, given what was also going on with Marlena, and overreacted at the shock of Brady being with Kristen. Brady thinks he should go. John hopes they are still on for dinner. They are. Marlena tries to ignore wicked Kristen at the hospital. The blonde psychologist is stylish in blue. She knows Brady and John had breakfast today. Kristen gloats she was there too and John has decided to accept her as the woman Brady loves. Marlena does not believe it. Kristen smugly shows her the text from John's assistant that shows which restaurant they will be dining at together tonight. Marlena stares. Kristen continues to taunt her. John even said he was wrong about her. Marlena warns she will speak to John. Kristen taunts he is not talking to her and did not even come back for her. “Ouch!” she cackles. At Horton house, Rafe, Hope, and Jen watch as Nick and Gabi exchange their rings. Ominous music is heard. At the same time, Vargas slips his own ring back on his felon finger. Back at the happy house of Hortons, Nick and Gabi are pronounced husband and wife. Nick kisses the bride. At the same time, the prison guard asks Vargas if he has plans as a free man. Vargas smirks and leers he does. Father Eric comes to the prison to pick up the soul he intends to save. Is he ready? Vargas smiles he is and he knows Salem will be the perfect place for him ... Sami ambles around the town square, sipping coffee, remembering EJ’s words. This is for Will. She imagines Kristen ordering her around like a servant at the mansion. Kristen wants a drink and decides to go shoe shopping in Paris this weekend. Sami will have to stay with father, who finds her annoying. Sami bites her tongue. Kristen cackles about her having to suck it up now and leers if she throws that martini in her face, she will release Nick Fallon and he will steal the baby! Sami comes back to reality and tells herself she can do this. The daydream continues. Sami the servant praises the DiMera sense of humor. Kristen enjoys her martini. Sami now hears Marlena’s voice crying out to save herself. “I beg you Sami, run! Run for your life!” It is coming from the basement. Sami is horrified to realize her mother is once more a prisoner in the basement. Kristen reminds her this is how DiMeras deal with problems. She did not mind them dealing with Nick. Sami tosses the drink in her face and flashes back to reality. Who is she kidding? She can’t do this! Oh God ... Nick kisses Gabi the gullible bride and whispers they did it. He vows no one will ever come between them or their family. He places his hand on his bride’s baby bump and asks his little girl if she heard that. Brady meets up with Kristen at the town gate. Dinner is still on. However, Brady can see his father’s true feelings. He suspects he is still not over her! Marlena enters the pub, where John is drinking water, reading over the menu. Marlena flips her hair and boldly approaches his table. He says hi. So does she and she asks to sit down. It is good to see him. Silence. She proceeds to update him on her chat with Kristen, who claimed he was treating her and Brady to dinner. More silence. She smiles she knows what he is doing. He is going to destroy her, isn’t he?
