The elevator opens and Kate approaches Cam. Where is Rafe’s police guard?! Abigail stammers she did not tell Cam about their plans. Chad teases she assumed he would be jealous. She claims she and Chad are friends only and leave flustered. Chad grins. EJ arrives and notices said grin. Chad gushes he has a date with Abigail tomorrow. EJ is pleased but must go see Samantha and the baby at the hospital. They can chat another time. Chad wants to show him something but EJ gets a call and steps away. He will have to look at Chad’s something anotha time. Cam explains the man who attacked Rafe is dead, hence the removal of the police protection. Kate nervously asks to see Rafe, They walk in and discover the machine wire has been loosened, the volume turned down. Cam gets it back and running. Stefano opens another door slightly and watches and listens. He goes unnoticed. Kate is relieved when Cam updates her on Rafe’s state. As per the neurosurgeon, things are looking good! Stefano stares darkly. Kate wonders when he will be brought out of the coma. Hopefully tomorrow. Kate profusely thanks him. Cam notes he is a fighter and will have a long road ahead but they anticipate a full recovery. Kate is elated and asks for a moment alone. Cam leaves. Stefano is still watching from the slightly ajar other door. Kate dramatically thanks God for tomorrow. She sits at Rafe’s side. Stefano is seen no more. Kate smiles to Rafe about his niece being born while he was sleeping. Ring ring. "What? Are you sure? Who could have possibly?!" Hope updates Sami on Ciara’s mischief. Sami blasts her for leaving her alone in her office. Hope reminds her that she had asked HER to remain with the girl when she had to step away but she did not. Sami cries does she mean all that happened to Rafe and her son his HER fault? Hope assures her it was not her fault. Sami cries the cop should not have just left it on her desk like that. She does not approve of the program. Hope points out some felons help out, the way Vargas did. She tells her how he led them to Jensen. Sami intends to thank him. Hope is willing to face the music about what happened. Sami cries she wishes she had not left Ciara alone in the room. Hope cries they work so hard to teach their kids the right way and protect them, She adds she blames Chelsea and Bo and Billie, but mostly herself. It is a mother’s job to protect a child. She weeps Ciara was their miracle baby and she has made too many mistakes with her, let her down. Sami cries too. Hope implores her to keep her daughter’s name out of this, Sami agrees and they share a tearful hug. Mothers must stick together! Sami now goes to see Will and baby. Hope picks up Ciara’s picture, sighs, and holds it close. She later leaves another voice mail for Bo, the absentee father. She laments she needs to hear his voice, as does their daughter! She misses him and implores him to hurry home! Kristen argues to Brady that she changed her plan in the end and decided not to hurt him, as his happiness meant more than her revenge. Brady becomes sarcastic and notes she should have run like hell! He accuses her of being fine with breaking his heart. His words are angry, but the tears fall from his eyes. Kristen cries if she did not care, she would not be here. They fought for their love! He barks at her to get out now. She holds up the adoption brochure and claims somewhere there is a child that should be theirs. Their child is their future, their hope, their love. He must not give up on them "I love you. I know you love me." She begs him to tell her they have a future together. Their love is beyond words, the way he makes her feel. Their lovemaking was so pure and honest. He does not deny that part. She places her left hand on his heart and cries she feels it pounding. The flashy engagement ring is still on her finger. She insists he wants her like she wants him. Abigail catches up with Cam at the pub and she has something to say. She explains she could not accept his movie invitation as she had already made plans with Chad. Cam stares. Back at the mansion, Stefano takes a cigar out of his wooden phoenix box. Enter the bearded thug with that item he requested. Stefano opens the velvet box and pulls out the deadly weapon. He holds it up, admiring the sleekness of its glistening blade. This is not child's play! EJ and Sami are passionately kissing in the hospital elevator. The lovebirds stop kissing when the door opens and flounce out. She teases when they are wed Arianna can call him pops. He thinks the baby girl will have him wrapped around her little finger like Sydney. They are ready to kiss again when hurricane Kate storms out of Rafe’s room. She hisses they will not get away with what they have done! Sami is baffled but EJ is not. Brady almost falls for Kristen’s charms, then notes no child deserves a mother who would use them the way she used him. She begs him to stop as he physically shoves her out the door. He wants her OUT! She cries and bangs on the door that she looooooves him. Kristen has a new obsession and his name is Brady Black ...
