Bail must be arranged for Samantha as soon as possible. The lawyer refuses to get involved and EJ calls him pompous. Chad approaches and wishes he had informed him of what was going on. EJ gets sarcastic. He is clearly at his wits end. Nicole asks Brady if this is okay. He drawls it is amazing, mind boggling, and great. She assures him this is not rebound. He insists it is not rebound for him either and they woefully kiss again. He is not playing games. She thanks God. He teases she sounds like she is praying. She calls him an amazing friend. He assures her nothing will change that. Nicole muses she feels grownup. He teases he seems to make her feel old. His only little regret is that their affair is now over. She smiles says who? He grins says no one and they start to kiss again, almost desperate to forget ... Kristen is playing with Stefano’s chess set. As her friend Jen advises her to stop obsessing over Marlena. Kristen would rather handle this on her own. Jen is admittedly surprised by her anger. Kristen assures her she already cried her tears. Perhaps she is not okay though she soon will be! She gives her back the sapphire necklace she had lent her for the almost wedding. Jen thinks she will still find her new beginning. Kristen acts strangely accepting of her fate and hugs her friend. Jen believes she will find the right path. Kristen smiles she will indeed and walks her to the door. Jen smiles they will do pizza and wine soon. Kristen makes nice but the smile fades once she has shut the door. Ominous music plays. Chad sympathetically hugs EJ and is sorry to hear he cannot find a lawyer as no one wishes to defend a suspected cop killer. Chad notes Sami saved Rafe the cop and advises him to defend her himself. EJ sighs he is too close to her, plus he has the wrong last name. Adrienne exclaims Sonny is not lucky but Will is cos he will be on the gravy train. Miffed Marlena insists Will has his own means so what is her problem with them raising the baby together! Adrienne feels it should not be Sonny’s life. Marlena calls the situation a challenge for the two who love each other. Adrienne calls it a train wreck. She suspects Will learned his relationship skills from Sami, maybe even Marlena. She already knows about John, too! She storms out. Marlena sighs. Meanwhile, Sonny presses his father to take Will’s case. Abigail excuses herself. Justin points out Will is almost family. Sonny implores him to help Sami. Adrienne appears and snaps no way can he take Sami’s case! They go back into the room to discuss. Adrienne calls the case too ugly. Sonny calls Sami innocent and they need someone they can trust. He and Will are sticking by his mom. He begs his father to help. Justin pauses. He now takes out his phone and places a call to EJ. "Tell Sami she has a lawyer." EJ is most grateful. Sonny embraces his father. Adrienne shakes her head in dismay and walks out with a frown. Kristen's eastern contact emerges. They are alone again, She stares at the newspaper she is holding and he wonders whether she is ready to proceed. She stares at his black box. Abe explains to Sami that the knife from Bernardi was missing from the start. No one was aware in the department that there was a weapon at that point. Besides, Rafe was also a cop. Sami realizes it makes no sense. Why would someone set her up? Abe cannot comprehend why Bernardi would have wanted to kill Rafe. Sami urges him to look, there is something there. Marlena arrives. Sami blurts out Bernardi was crooked. Abe doubts it. Marlena suggests he investigate the angle. He will, though she should not count on building the case on that theory. Abigail catches up with Chad at the coffee house and they discuss the Sami case. Abigail, the daughter of Jack the sleuth, points out to Chad that Bernardi was a decorated cop. It all seems so strange. Chad the DiMera looks at the picture of Bernardi, then looks at the video of Sami he has been carrying around on his phone. The footage of her battling in the park with none other than off duty BERNARDI...! END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Chad has something for EJ! Kristen goes ahead with her crazy plan. Of course! |
