That is where she belongs. They will take care of Rafe here. Sami scoffs with jealousy. She is still mad when she storms into the mansion and rages to EJ about being barred from Rafe’s room. EJ tenderly tells her not to give those pointless people another thought. He would like her to worry about him and kisses her. He has something to cheer her up. Sami gets interested. He escorts her into the living room and teases something is different. She turns and expresses her shock, for there on the wall, where once hung a portrait of Stefano is now a portrait of EJ and Sami, lord and lady of the manor. King EJ places his arm around her as her blue eyes practically pop out of her head. - Nicole wishes Brady would let it go. He deserves happiness! She kisses him like a dear friend and departs. Once alone, Brady sighs at the letter. Maggie returns home, gushing all about the school and notices he is preoccupied. He admits he has had a wakeup call. She wants to discuss. Brady suspects he is addicted to love. The redhead thinks his brand of love might have been a chemical rush. Real love is certainly not like what he experienced with Kristen. Brady admits he is still feeling the withdrawal, hence his inability to let go. Maggie is here for him, tells him it will get better. As his sponsor, she is always just down the hall. He appreciates it and decides to tear up the letter from the adoption agency, in essence trying to destroy his love addiction. - Dan accuses Kristen of wanting him to tell Brady et al how nice she is. He refuses to get caught in the middle of their drama and deduces she wants him back. Kristen reminds him of the fun they all had in Chicago. She felt she had true friends and also love. She was too foolish to realize she loved Brady and sighs there is no going back. Her eyes are filled with tears. Dan feels she should talk to Jen. Parker now calls for daddy. Kristen would love to meet the lad. Dan steps into the other room and that is when the she devil springs into action. She proceeds to take pictures of every page of the toxicology report nearby. - Gabi complains to Kate that Sonny is working and Will has ... Kate assures her she can remain and look after things here. Grateful Gabi goes home to her baby. Chad arrives and updates Kate on the Stefano front. Kate wonders whether he is dead. No, but EJ gained control of the empire and gave the old man the boot! Kate drinks it all in. - Eric is at his desk, almost ready to call Dr. Jonas, but then hangs up. Nicole arrives and wonders. He updates her on his slight relapse, the backup tests that are being run as they speak. Nicole hopes they will get answers. He nervously pulls at his collar. - Chad seeks out Dr. Cam at the hospital. Cam suggests he get his head examined, given the hit he took on July 4. X-rays need to be done. Chad dismisses the notion and wants to discuss something of a personal nature. Busy Cam however, must get back to work. - Kate sits at gasping Rafe's bedside. He suddenly asks her why Sami tried to kill him! Pause. Kate assures him he is safe now and urges him to rest. He closes his eyes. She wonders. - EJ would love to know what his beloved thinks. She fears his father will freak out EJ boasts that fatha is out thanks to his hostile takeover. Sami is stunned. The prodigal son confirms he and he alone is in control of the entire empire, including the house. Sami exclaims it would take years to accomplish such a feat. He starts to kiss her and murmurs it was only 5 months. Overly sensitive Sami stops kissing and snaps he never told her for five whole months?! - At the rectory, Eric informs Nicole the programs are all ready. She departs to pick them up.. Alone again, the priest prays to the Lord to give him answers. All of a sudden he remembers asking a woman in black if she needed help! - Back at Dan’s apartment, Kristen is putting back the report when the medicine man walks in. He bellows and demands to know what in the hell she is doing! The hellcat cringes and glances down at the papers as he waits for an explanation ...
