Part 2 At the rectory, Nicole updates Vargas on who is who in Salem, and he learns that Sami’s son Will is Gabi’s baby daddy. He is confused. She explains Will is gay. Vargas notes Will and Gabi and Nick’s business is their business. Just like theirs. He hopes sister Sami will not cause problems for them. Nicole muses Sami did not even notice them. He jokes he must be losing his touch, in that case! She doubts it and calls his touch WOW. She did have fun last night but did not intend to lead him on. Vargas pleasantly states no regrets and gets back to work. Brady lets Victor know that Mr. Wang rang and needs to talk to him about that contract wording. Victor thinks they should put off the proposals until the matter is handled. Brady places the envelope among others and hopes next time Kristen can join them for the full meeting. Victor stares. Brady now makes for the coffee house, where he comes across woeful Marlena, who is still missing John. He is sorry if he made it seem he did not want to talk to her again. She sheds a few tears and wonders if he does want to talk to her. He suggests they stick to neutral topics and he just happens to have the perfect one! At DiMera mansion, suited Stefano informs his daughter that Sy is still in Salem and he is making trrrrrrrrrouble! Kristen is incensed but he insists he will take care of him. She sarcastically thanks him. He sternly reminds her he takes care of things as that is what family is for and exits the room. Kristen fumes, her hands on her hips. Meanwhile Sy has just made the mistake of leaving his secret hiding place ... Sami flounces into the pub. Caroline claims she wants to go shopping with Kayla. Sami had assumed it was important. It is, but for Sami, not her! She suggests she keep her wits about her and leaves. EJ now appears in his suit and blue tie and drawls he wanted her to join him for lunch, a Hugh Grant twinkle in his eye. He sits her down at a romantically set table and muses they could have done this in Rome, Paris or London, but he wanted a place that had special meaning. Sami does not understand. He pours the expensive red wine. She gulps and notes it is perfect. He notes she is perfect! Sami blushes. Chloe courageously informs her son she is taking a trip, but cannot take him so he will have fun here with Dan and Jen. She calls him the best boy in the whole world and promises to hurry back to him when she can. She promptly hands him to papa Dan, smiles through her tears she has a flight to catch, and promises to call soon. Dan emotionally assures her he will take good care of their little boy. Chloe nods, walks out, and breaks down in front of the door. When she later meets Anne at the town square, she has regained her composure and calmly states she is leaving. She assumes Jen and Dan will be together forever. Anne is exasperated she is giving up on what she wanted but Chloe now claims she no longer wants what she once did. Anne fumes she is letting Jen win. Chloe declares the war is over. Anne mutters not for her, wishes her luck, and hugs her. Back at Horton house, Abigail takes Parker into the kitchen for cupcakes. Dan and Jen discuss. It will be hard but they can weather any storm. He praises Jen for what she did. She breathes she would never want to hurt him that way for real and they kiss and kiss and kiss and kiss. Jen hopes she will not confuse Parker. Abigail and the little smiling lad return with the cupcakes. He chooses the one with sprinkles. The adults giggle and attack each other with cupcake icing. The sweet life. Chloe walks past the cherry blossoms and vanishes from view, gone with the Salem wind ... EJ informs Sami that he wanted to lunch with the most important woman in his life, the mother of his children. She teases it feels like they are celebrating, with these candles and expensive crystal. He solemnly states they are celebrating them! He can no longer wait. She blinks. He gallantly gets down on a knee and she gasps as he opens the ring box. The sparkling ring takes her breath away, as does his declaration of love, followed by his request from the HOT (heart) that she do him the great honor of being his wife. Sami returns his gaze with a highly charged soap stare, her lips parted in romantic shock. Kristen the cat paces at the mansion and gets a text. She waits. By the town gate, Sy walks along wearing a hat and sunglasses. Stefano’s man stands in front of him. Sy says "Excuuuuuse me." Stefano emerges, a dangerous glint in his eye and growls there is no excuse! Ding dong! Ding dong! Butler Harold is nowhere to be seen so Kristen answers the door to John. He grins in front of the cherry blossoms. He has something just for her! Brady sits with Marlena and updates her on the art investment project. He feels Marlena has a great eye and pictures are a safe and neutral topic. He would love to get her input and opens his briefcase. The first thing he finds is the envelope. He has no idea it would be a game changer if only someone would open it ... END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Sami responds to EJ's proposal. John tries to make Kristen nostalgic - for them! |
