MY BABY'S GOT A SECRET - Part 2 Kristen shows up at Jen’s house and explains in her pitiful little voice that she and Brady just happened. Jen sighs she already knows that from Brady. Kristen gets that Jen must have doubts about her. Jen points out she does not seem to demonstrate care or concern for others. Kristen assumes she is referring to John and Marlena in the past. She insists she has moved on and cries she cares about Brady. Jen suspiciously reminds her she was obsessed with John. She sincerely hopes this situation with Brady does not turn into a Salem disaster! Marlena asks whether Gabi's other brother Dario knows about the wedding. Negative. Marlena asks about Nick’s family. He insists the Hortons know all and they are happy. He has been out for a few months. John had forgotten about his prison term - due to his somewhat fuzzy memory - and asks about the charge. Nick does not bat an eye as he explains he did time for kidnapping and murder. An uncomfortable silence ensures. Gabi hastily points out he has reformed, as Marlena agreed. Nick notes Dr. Evans spoke to him before his parole - about his past and his addiction to pan killers. Marlena does not deny it but believes he could have taken this relationship more slowly … Will explains Gabi is very young, hence his concern. Eric reminds him his own mother was young and he turned out great. He is glad he is such good friends with Gabi and Nick. They will surely need their friends. Eric adds he is there to see Caroline and he realizes Will was on his way out. They go their separate ways. Eric wonders what is really troubling his nephew. Sonny approaches Chad as he decorates the big tree and wants him to remember the time Gabi and Nick were fighting and then Will showed up. Chad recalls how Will said he would handle it and wonders what he wants to know. Sonny deduces they were not arguing about a school project that fateful day and tries to figure out what Will continues to hide from him … Hope is with Jen at Horton house, placing gifts for Hortons under the Horton tree. She points out she dropped the gloves she got for Maggie and then Kristen picked them up and returned them to her. Jen admits she has seen the she devil too … Hope soon teases how Daniel told her he was spending Christmas with the Hortons. She hopes her cuz and Dan will have a Merry Christmas together. Jen blushes and thanks her. Brady walks through the town square, assuring Kristen on his phone that Jen will not tell anyone. She remains tense. He wants to see her soon. She reminds him to take the back stairs. He hopes they will not have to sneak around much longer. Kristen gets off the phone, pours herself a good stiff drink to steel her nerves, and considers her next move. More and more people know the secret, which means soon John will find out … She has much to plan, starting with Christmas Eve! John suggests the guys talk in the other room and leave Marlena and Gabi to continue their chat here. Nick and John exit together. Marlena has just one question for the bride-to-be. “Why haven’t you told your family about the wedding?” Gabi stammers her mom would be upset about the baby. Marlena presses. Why did she only tell Rafe? Gabi points out Sami was in fact the one who told him her baby news. Marlena wants to know what she is ashamed of - the baby or Nick! Chad exits the coffee house as Will arrives. He hopes he is there to talk to Sonny cos he is no fun to work with when they are fighting. Will wonders if he is upset. Chad advises him to find out for himself. Will walks in and finds Sonny sitting alone, staring gloomily into space. He says hey, then gently notes they will not always agree or like the same people, but he is sorry he got angry. He asks if they can forget it and get back to normal. Sonny stands up and admits he does not know. He solemnly adds he has finally figured out the big secret that Will and Gabi and Nick have been hiding! Will’s eyes flicker ... END |
