Brady drawls they need to finish the office space fast so she will not have to work at Sami's chaotic home. Madison does not mind. She is more preoccupied with going up against Kate. Marlena approaches and Brady says hello. He makes the introductions. Marlena is cordial and asks to speak to Brady alone. He replies it is not a great time. She adds it is about his father and is therefore a great time! Brady tries to blow her off, but the blonde stands her ground. Madison diplomatically excuses herself. Brady suggests Marlena not waste her time and just go home. Marlena persists and they sit together. She informs him that Belle calls and emails her father every day. However, John does not want her to come back and find herself in the middle of all this. But Brady is already in town. She urges him to make contact with his father. Brady casually offers to send a text. Marlena snaps it is hurtful that he is ignoring his father. Brady claims he is busy. Marlena informs him that HE was one of the reasons they came to town. John was worried about him and his activities. Brady insists he does not need his help and he is just fine. He can send him an email. Marlena accuses him of abandoning his father. Even before they came, he had stopped calling. Brady complains he was lecturing him about his life. He snaps he only thinks he needs him when he screws up, and frowns. Marlena assures him that John is proud of him. Brady will not listen. He does not like to be lectured and laments his father's standards are sky high. Marlena acknowledges he does indeed live up to a high moral code, but he does love his son. Brady retorts he is busy. He does not need him to pretend they have a good relationship. Neither of them needs it. - Maggie, Bo, and Hope are at the clinic waiting for the administrator. Bo and Hope assure Maggie this person will be able to give them the name of the woman who received her egg. When the clinic employee arrives, they update her on the missing implanted egg, in order to uncover the identity of Maggie's child. The woman solemnly states that is impossible. Hope argues their case. The employee is sympathetic but cannot help, as she is obligated by law to protect the identity of their patients. Bo reminds her the eggs in fact belonged to someone else. Hope states Maggie never even agreed to donate them. Maggie assures her she does not want to play the blame game, she only wants to find her child! The administrator will look into this further. Bo and Hope point out anything would be of assistance. Maggie gives her the file which proves the eggs were hers. The employee leaves. The gang are optimistic and Maggie smiles as Hope hugs her tight. Bo excuses himself to step outside and check in with work. Maggie admits to Hope that she cannot stop thinking about her grown child. She is worried about the outcome. Hope feels Alice is with them on this journey and will not let them down ... - At the loft, Austin is folding a blanket. Sami gives Rafe his coffee. He mutters thanks and stares at his computer. Sami offers to make breakfast. Rafe coldly says no thanks and continues staring at his computer. Sami exclaims are they ever going to talk about what happened last night ...?! Austin and Rafe both look at her. Rafe is mad. He sarcastically recounts how he found his half-naked houseguest on top of his wife, and he just happened to be a guy she was once in love with. “I fell,” explains Sami. Rafe is still irate. Austin explains what happened with him spilling the water, etc., but Rafe cannot forget that he was wandering around in his underwear. He also wants to know what Sami was doing in the living room. She exclaims she was getting him a blanket. Rafe declares he trusts Sami, yet he is unhappy about this situation. He does not EVER want to see anything like this again. "You won't,” promise Sami and Austin at the same time. Austin announces he will get out of their hair as soon as possible. The phone rings and Sami realizes it is Carrie for Rafe! Rafe smugly picks up the phone and Carrie wants to know how he got fired. She wonders how the cops found out he was helping her. Why did he not tell her? As Austin and Sami stare, Rafe remarks a lot has been going on. Carrie is not sure she should tell him the latest, though Rafe thinks he has nothing to lose anymore and hopes she will. And so she does. Carrie shares that the clinic worker in Switzerland can officially confirm John as being there and not in Paris. In addition, he will testify and has personal records to prove it. Rafe quietly urges her to keep an eye on the guy. Carrie reassures him. Rafe loudly notes they are a great team. Sami almost chokes. - Madison wanders around the town square. She has just ended a work call when she receives another one. She begs the mysterious caller not to show up now or they will jeopardize everything she is trying to do. The mysterious caller evidently does not agree and hangs up. Madison gets a worried look in her eye ... - Back at the clinic, Bo and Hope are waiting with anxious Maggie. Her fiancé Victor has agreed to put their wedding on hold, until she finds her son or daughter. Hope asks what she will do when she does. Maggie is hopeful. The administrator returns and admits she has found something. The redhead becomes emotional. The woman who received her eggs was impregnated at this very clinic! - Back at the loft, as Rafe torments Sami by telling Carrie how much she cheered him up, Sami bangs dishes. Rafe offers to put Austin on the phone. Carrie is surprised. Rafe explains Sami invited him to stay with them and sarcastically hands Austin the phone. Austin says hi and adds he tried calling last night. Carrie demands to know why he left their hotel room and went to stay with her sister! - Back at the town square restaurant, Marlena assures Brady she has his best interest at heart. John loves him and is proud of him, though he is too stubborn to say it, just like Brady. They have both made mistakes. She wishes Brady would forgive his father for his mistakes. Brady stares darkly. - Back at the clinic, the administrator is sitting with Maggie, Bo, and Hope. Records indicate that the eggs were brought there by the patient's physician years ago, and the woman claimed the eggs were hers. At the time, the clinic had no reason to doubt her. Maggie insists her paperwork proves otherwise. Bo would like the name of this woman. Maggie gets choked up and agrees. They all wait with bated breath ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
