PART 1 - At the chaotic loft, Sami is picking up toys and talking on the phone about the school bus. No school today, as it is Founder's Day. She and Rafe are caught unprepared. Sami laments Will has class so he cannot babysit. Rafe is sorry he cannot help, as he has to get to work on the John Black case. The kids are making noise in the other room. Rafe promises to contact a sitter and makes for the station. Meanwhile, boss Madison is coming over to have a home meeting with Sami. Sami starts to get the coffee ready when Johnny accidentally spills orange juice on the table. Madison arrives at the door and wonders if it is a bad time. Sami asks her in and suggests little Johnny change his shirt. He cutely agrees and toddles off. Sami is sorry the croissants were soaked in orange juice with the documents. Madison has an extra copy. A child is heard crying and Sami races into the other room. When she comes back, she is grateful that Madison has cleaned up her kitchen. Sami gasps a babysitter will be coming soon and she is sorry. Madison assures her it is fine, she just could not have the office ready soon enough. Nate informed her that the materials are late being delivered. Sami sighs about Kate, her wicked ex-mother-in-law. Madison wants to hear all about it. Johnny soon comes out looking for something to do. They decide to test a couple of scents on him. The lad chooses the one that smells like vanilla cookies. Sami hugs him and he giggles. Madison watches, her eyes moist. - Carrie and Austin wake up together nekid under the sheets. They have not slept much and get back to making out. She is soon ready for work, whereas he has just emerged from the shower. They vow not to let their jobs come between them. They kiss and she removes his towel. Alas, there is not enough time. She tells him to hold the thought, sneaks a peek, and goes off to work, smiling naughtily. - At the pub, Will joins Gabi, who is checking out the traffic on the site. Hits and traffic are up. In addition, the message boards are a flurry of activity. Will looks at the message board and he cannot believe what he sees! Gabi reacts with an exclamation. Enter Sonny and he would like to know what they are looking at. Gabi claims it was nothing important and closes her computer, but Sonny suspects they are hiding something. They jump up and Will states they must get to class. Sonny presses. Will explains there are ... glitches on the site. Sonny insists on having a look. He opens the computer and reads that someone wants to boycott the site as it is "run by a bunch of gays." He shuts the computer unhappily. Gabi and Will want to do something to stop the poster. Sonny, however, does not want their site to become a battlefield. He announces he is bowing out to stop it. - Marlena returns to the townhouse with groceries and notes John has not touched his breakfast. He is admittedly troubled as she did not wake him up when she came back last night. He senses where she went. Oh how it bothers him! "You could have been killed!" Marlena insists she was safe. John exclaims Stefano is a dangerous man who is obsessed with her. She points out he would take the same risk for her. John emotionally declares if anything ever happened to her because of him, he would never be able to forgive himself. Marlena insists she will do what she has to do, even if it means tangling with the likes of Stefano. John is also mad his punk son is running for mayor on a platform of making him seem guilty. Knock knock! Carrie is at the door with receipts, statements, and determination to look into everything. They will have to go over them all, leaving no stone unturned. - Nurse Mel is napping in a chair at the town square café when Chad saunters over to tease his "dancing partner." Mel stands up and he insists he likes dancing with her. He takes her in his arms for a move and Mel giggles. Abigail appears and jealously wants to know what is going on. Mel giggles they were just playing around. Chad agrees. Abigail shows him how it is done. Chad decides to go get her some coffee. Mel asks how Jen is. Abigail laments that she and her mother are both wrecks. How is Dan? Mel thinks he is like a wreck too. Abigail complains about Jack flipping out about Chad being a DiMera. She told him she never wanted to talk to him again. Mel does not think that was wise, as he is her father. Abigail quips as far as she is concerned, Jack is not her father. - At the station, Rafe is on the phone. He will need to have a statement from the waiter who saw the man in the picture. Austin arrives and Rafe updates him that the waiter identified John as being at the café in Paris that day. However, he feels this whole thing was rigged. Austin appears to doubt it and wonders if he is thinking of Stefano. Rafe replies that he intends to look into every angle. - Back at the townhouse, Carrie wants to discuss the big fund withdrawal that was made from John's personal computer. He snaps it was not even him. Carrie warns they need more than his word and they are running out of time! - Back at the station, Austin is curious whether Rafe found anything new about John and the clinic. Rafe claims he did not, though once Austin has walked away, he calls Carrie and murmurs he might have something to help her case, something that could clear John completely! - Rafe arrives at the loft to have a word with Carrie. John and Marlena take the documents into the kitchen. Carrie excitedly asks what he found. Rafe fills her in on what he just learned from someone at the Swiss clinic ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
