| THE FULL SCOOP! Wednesday, October 12, 2011 posted by 5:15 pm et October 11 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! THE GREAT DEBATE! PART 1 - At the town square, Nicole gives EJ advice on fixing his tie for the camera. His interview is about to get underway. He is uneasy they are not in a TV studio, but she insists it is a stroke of genius to have his justification of the class action lawsuit made at the town square. Here comes Terri Seymour, the TV personality, who explains this is going to be different than planned, as EJ is a wild card. Abe and Lexie arrive. Terri indicates EJ's opponent, Mayor Abe Carver. EJ frowns. Nicole gulps. EJ forces a smile and greets Abe. Abe had not realized they would both be there either. Terri excuses herself to get set up. EJ takes Nicole aside and is livid she let this happen. She, as his publicist, was supposed to arrange the terms and conditions of this interview. Even though she did not know, she should have, and he threatens to fire her if things do not improve. Meanwhile, Lexie informs Abe she is sure EJ is worried about going against him in a televised debate. - Sami and Brady have brought Madison to the pub, to celebrate the Japanese distribution deal. Madison thinks it is homey and is happy to meet grandma Caroline, who is sitting on a barstool. She took a fall cos the floor was left wet when she came out earlier. Sami hugs her tightly and introduces her grandma. Boss Madison is glad to meet her. Caroline announces their first working lunch is on the house! The three sit down and start to look through a magazine. The offices are not ready yet. Enter Kate and she accuses Madison of running her offices from a watering hole. Madison defends the pub. Kate boasts she is getting an espresso and is then back to Countess Wilhelmina's grand office and showroom. Madison retorts she has seen her 1980s retro office and it seems to reflect her product. "Old, dated, yesterday's news!" Diva Kate insists her office and staff are top notch. Furthermore, Madison must be worried, as she snuck a peak at her office. Madison muses it is because her office just happens to be directly across the town square from hers. Enter one famous Nate Berkus, Madison's corporate designer contact, who is there to help her with the new offices. Kate blinks her angry eyes. Sami is thrilled. She gasps she is his biggest fan. Brady is happy to meet him too. Madison smugly introduces him to Kate, whom he has seen on Hearth and Home. He gives her credit for trying to breathe new life into an old line. Kate thanks him and quips that he should ask Madison for payment up front, cos she is going to end up dead in the water! - Outside, Jen comes across a woeful Jack and asks what is wrong. He laments he has lost their daughter. "I don't know what I'm gonna do without her!" Jen gives him a sympathetic glance. Just what did their daughter say? That he was not good enough to be her father and she no longer wants him in her life. Jen insists the child missed him terribly. Jack sighs she has moved on and he wonders what JJ must think of his deadbeat dad. Jen is sorry. Jack blames himself for screwing things up. He now understands how hurt they were, as he is now hurting too. He recalls Jen had warned him against the consequences, and yet he risked everything for a stupid story. It got him nothing. He lost his kids and her. A naive part of him had hoped he could return and pick up where he left off. Things were so diffreent when they left together for London. Happy memories. Jen gets teary-eyed. Jack points out everthing was good in London, but now it is all gone. Jen murmurs it is, though she knows it will not remain like this for him. He would rather not delude himself. Without her and the children, he has nothing! He sighs that he too had no relationship with his biological father. Jennifer does not want him to compare himself to his father, and does not like to see him so upset. She asks what she can do to help. Jack thinks he should stop bothering her and stands up. Jen stands up too, and takes him arm. "Please don't go," she whispers. She then releases his arm and informs him that no matter what, she does care about him. She will not walk away from him. He wonders why. She takes his hand and asks him to let her be there. She holds his hand in hers. Jack is clearly affected. - Back at the town square, Nicole informs EJ he must be able to go toe to toe with Abe. And he cannot back down now! She reminds him he is the master of smoke and mirrors. He grins she does make him feel better, but warns he does not like surprises. She does not either and will try not to make any more happen, though they are a part of life! He must deal with it. They approach Abe and Lexie, who were also caught unawares. EJ pretends to be cool as a cucumber. Abe and Lexie become testy when Nicole refers to the fact that Abe was conveniently unopposed in the last election. Abe warns EJ he does his job well. EJ claims he just wants a fair fight. Lexie doubts it. EJ adds Abe will not slide into office this time, for he intends to win. "So do I!" replies Abe. Their eyes lock. - Jen releases Jack's hand. He knows she is kind and generous, even though he does not deserve it. Jennifer informs him that she would be devastated if Abigail did not want her as her parent anymore. She gets choked up that she knows he loves their children, which is why he is worth her time. Jack mentions what if. Jen thinks they need to go talk somewhere. Jack becomes hopeful ... - Lexie is annoyed by EJ's smugness. Abe warns him that his lack of honesty will not get him far and implies he will drown. Nicole quips the people will like his freshness. Terri returns. EJ and Abe are ready. Abe gets intense. "Bring it on!" And so the great debate gets underway ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
