| Wednesday, October 12, 2011 - PART 2 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! THE GREAT DEBATE - Part 2 - Jen insists she only wishes to talk to Jack as a parent. He is grateful even for that. They soon walk together with their coffees and Jen is shocked to hear that Jack denounced Chad and ordered Abigail to stop seeing the DiMera. Jen thinks that was not what they were really fighting about. Talking to Abigail about any boyfriend would not go over well right now. Jack points out he caught Chad giving her a massage. The scene that followed wasn't pretty, as it got heated. Jen thinks that is very bad. Jack cannot believe Jen has not done anything about their daughter dating a DiMera. Jen explains she is old enough to make her own choices and advises him not to push their daughter away! Chad DiMera is not EJ and he stands up to Stefano. Exasperated Jack retorts Stefano always draws in his offspring one way or another. Jen points out that Lexie was different. Besides, what if someone had judged Jack by his father? Jack concedes she is right, but Abigail is his only daughter. Jen points out they are only dating. Jack brings up marriage and how he cannot handle that. They happily remember the good times when Abigail was a little girl. Jen admits she still remembers when the kids were babies. Even though she and Jack are apart, it does not change the fact they have THEIR kids. She assures Jack their daughter still loves him. They hold hands again and she says it will take some time. He now asks the fair Jennifer how much time she needs ... - Back at the pub, Madison makes a snide remark about Kate's efforts. Sensing a war, Nate excuses himself to call his assistant. When Kate hears that Mad World snagged a deal with the biggest distributor in the world, the Japanese company, she leers are they sure? Brady wonders if she stole that away. Kate boasts she did and trashes Madison for not paying closer attention. She stole the deal and has it in writing. Sami calls her a thief. Brady declares she will not get away with it. Kate rages that Madison is nothing but a pretty showroom she cannot even afford anymore. Madison is silent. Exit Kate. Caroline is bothered by Kate's scene. Sami thinks Kate is evil. Nate has overheard and asks if Madison is alright. Brady is worried. So is Sami. Madison smirks she will handle Kate. Nate grins knowingly. Brady wants to know how ... - At the town square, suited Abe and EJ are sitting together, for the great debate. Their calm demeanor masks their ambition. The camera rolls. Terri introduces them and starts by pointing out they are brothers-in-law. Abe explains his priority as the mayor is to make sure people are treated fairly and to help them be prosperous. Terri calls the Town Square a feather in his cap. Abe agrees it has created dozens of jobs, possibilities for economic growth and more. EJ commends him on the achievement. However, in building the square, all that he has done is place a colorful bandage over the problems facing the community. He thinks Abe should stop hiding and face the real issues! Nicole is mighty pleased with EJ's performance thus far. Lexie watches intently. Interviewer Terri asks EJ what he means by the real issues. "Crime," he smoothly states. Abe starts to talk statistics but EJ interrupts. He mentions the families who are innocent victims. There was the man who attacked women on the pier and terrorized others. Abe quips he was finally caught. EJ wants the courtesy of having his say and continues. He explains the wrong man was arrested and the mayor was present when he took a hostage. Does he deny he was present? Reporter Terri asks if it is true. Could the mayor have prevented the last attack from happening? Abe grimaces ...
