Wednesday, November 21, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up by early afternoon November 20 FORGIVENESS - At the pub, Sami realizes Nick did not know Gabi was pregnant. The dumbfounded genius had no idea. He staggers and stammers as he digests the information. Sami explains she only found out as she happened to be with her when she heard the news. “Oh my God,” sighs Nick. Sami gushes he is going to be a dad! Upstairs, Rafe is determined to find Gabi and takes out his phone. He hastily calls her number, only to discover she forgot her phone, which is still in her room. He now spies the untouched breakfast. Downstairs, Nick expresses his concern that Gabi had passed out. Sami assures him she is fine. Nick's genius eyes mirror his view that something is wrong with this scenario. Rafe now comes downstairs and growls he wants him to help find his sister. - Lucas wants to know what is going on. Will pretends they needed money for a school project. Lucas doubts it and requests a private chat. Gabi claims they are busy but Lucas persists. He just wants Will to know he spoke with Sonny and it went well. He promises not to screw things up. Will asks if he told Sonny that. He explains he told Sonny he would accept the life his son was leading. He loves him much. And so does Sonny! Will is overwhelmed to hear it. Where would that be coming from? Lucas explains it was coming from Sonny direct. He admits that if Will had been with Gabi he would not have overreacted the way he did when he found him with Sonny. Lucas knows he was wrong and is sorry. Will cries thank you. It means a great deal when Lucas notes if Sonny makes him happy, then he is happy. Father and son share an emotional hug. Will rejoins waiting Gabi and promises to touch base with Lucas later. Lucas first wants to make up the fifty bucks extra they needed for the project. He hands them sixty. They thank him. He wishes them luck and they walk off together. Lucas grins he is proud of his son. - Jen and Hope are getting ready for a new book club meeting at Horton house. Billie is the first guest and announces she owes Jen a major apology. Billie hugs her and says she regrets jumping to conclusions. Jen forgives her. Billie hugs her again in relief. Hope giggles when the doorbell rings. Tis Adrienne and Kayla, thanking Jen for hosting their book club. Kayla updates the gals that her mom is doing much better. Hope gushes she is returning soon. Jen muses there are already things to be thankful for! - At the rectory, Nicole notes she and Eric have been talking a looooong time. She laments the whole town is gossiping and judging her. Eric assures her he is not judging her but she suspects he must hate her by now. The pragmatic priest is sympathetic about her loss and feels he could never hate her. She suffered enough. She thinks there is more. She suspects his eyes are telling her he has something else in his head and demands to know what. He admits he is not entirely comfortable being her advisor or confessor but … she has not found a way to make things right with Jen or Dan. Perhaps then she would get closure. Nicole hates that word and laments she is not a great apologizer. Eric teases her about a photo shoot at Venice Beach many moons ago when she had four things to apologize for. She giggles and a flashback of her photo shoot is shown. He muses she never did apologize. Nicole coos she is retroactively sorry but she was right about the pictures. She did not feel right about them. She now wonders what if she takes his suggestion. He thinks perhaps then she will lose her belief that the world hates her. She fears she will not be forgiven. He now brings up her forgiving herself. She stops him from continuing with the God talk and accuses him of preaching. She certainly does not need God and is sick of it! Eric pauses. - The gals converse with their coffee. This book Billie chose was the Scarlet Letter. Times have changed but there are still such problems for women. Hope presses Billie to say what made her select the book. Billie dreamily states it was that theme of forbidden love … - Meanwhile, Father Eric wants Nicole to realize that God has not turned against her. Nicole would rather discuss another topic. She is curious about how he came to be a priest. She makes a joke about it being his career path. Eric reminds her that her usual MO to avoid the heart of the matter has always been sarcasm. She suggests they must have taught him such shrink talk in the monastery and repeats her question “Why did you become a priest?” Eric solemnly states he went to Colorado to start over and ended up a photographer caught up in the Civil War in The Congo, where he witnessed terrible cruelty. Thank goodness for the help of the missionaries. That was how it all started. First he found his way back to mass, and then all he had been taught since early childhood came flooding back. It changed his view of the world - and him too. He does not expect Nicole to understand but she claims she does indeed. - Sami quietly urges Rafe not to give Nick a hard time. He tells Nick all about the breakfast tray his sister left untouched. The computer in Nick’s brain is working. He points out she was feeling queasy. Must have been morning sickness. Sami asks if Nick saw her leave. Not unless she went down the back stairs. Gruff Rafe goes to speak with the kitchen staff. Now that they are alone again, Sami wonders how Nick feels about the news that Gabi is pregnant. - Gabi and Will have entered the clinic. He asks if she is okay. He only wants her to do this is she is positive. An austere nurse interrupts. "May I help you ...?" Read Part 2 of FORGIVENESS - click here! |
