However, he was always a good person. Eric informs her that God is there for everyone. But not everyone is there for Him. One need only make a conscience choice. “To be celibate!” cackles Nicole. She is admittedly uncomfortable with the God talk but Eric is convinced that if she were open to it, she would be amazed. She thanks him for the talk and pleasantly excuses herself. Nick insists he is fine. He just wants to locate Gabi and find out why she did not tell him. Rafe returns, upset she is nowhere. Nick wonders why he is overreacting. Rafe thinks Nick might be mad but Nick insists he loves her and is not mad. Rafe drawls to come find him if he finds her. He goes back to her room to look around, to wait. Sami scampers after him. At the clinic, Gabi gets the necessary forms to fill out. Will whispers is she sure? She sighs and starts to fill out the form Hope visits Father Eric at the rectory and hugs him. She is thrilled he is in Salem and wonders how he ended up being at St Luke’s instead of halfway around the world. Eric claims he is not sure. He changes the subject and excitedly mentions being able to oversee construction of the new school. Hope explains Ciara will be by later to say hi. She is with a friend at present. Hope checks her phone for a text as Eric starts to make the tea, then spies a fallen hoop earring. He explains it belongs to Nicole. Hope frowns. Having that woman here was a big mistake! Nicole walks to the town square and stares at the stairs from whence she fell that fateful day. She flashes back to her harsh words for Jen and covers her ears, willing the bad memories to stop. She glances left and right, and then departs on a mission. In Gabi’s bedroom, Sam asks what is troubling Rafe. He regrets not being there for his sister and feels he let her down. Sami assures him he did not neglect her but Rafe remarks he is the only family she has left. He recalls how they lost Arianna, then picks up the framed bedside photo of Gabi and Nick. He wonders if he loves her. Sami insists he does and love makes all the difference. Rafe gazes at her soulfully. Gabi thanks Will for coming to the clinic with her. He is here for her all the way and is sorry this happened. She points out it was both of their responsibility. The nurse announces they are ready for her. Will just wants Gabi to wait if she is not really ready. She insists she is, though she wishes he could come in with her. He promises to stay there and they hug. Gabi now enters the examination room, followed by the nurse. Will sighs. He waits and waits, then touches a picture of Sonny on his phone. Meanwhile, Gabi has just been told they will only proceed if she is sure. She is. The next step is a sonogram. She is asked to undress and put on the gown until the doctor returns. Rafe notes Gabi thinks he is overprotective. Perhaps she was rebelling. Sami doubts it. Gabi knows he would do or sacrifice anything for her. Rafe glumly alludes to sacrificing Sami too. Hope would rather not state the obvious. Eric explains he and Nicole only met accidentally, and then she told him about her life. He already knows what happened with Jennifer. Hope thinks being in that woman’s life, even as her confessor, would be a disaster. She urges him to stay away! Nicole is a sociopath! Compassionate Eric points out she is in bad shape and needs someone she can talk to. He is offering his support as she is grieving the loss of her baby. Hope warns that one needs to be watched. Her cop instincts tell her that Nicole has not reformed. “This is far from over. I just know it!” Adrienne is the very last guest to leave. She hopes they will see Jen and Abigail for Thanksgiving tomorrow Jen thanks her for everything. They will see each other then. Jen closes the door, notices Jack’s picture, and returns to the cozy living room. The door handle slowly turns and an unannounced visitor slinks in. Tis Nicole! Jen turns around and stares in horror. Nicole stands up straight and stares right back. Nick is still working at the pub. He leaves Will a desperate message to please let Gabi know he wants to speak with her in case she is with him. “It’s important!” Rafe laments it is true. He was willing to give Sami up in order to save Gabi but ended up losing her anyway! Sami takes it all in and gets back to the topic. It shows how much he loves his sister. Rafe adds he loves her baby too and would do anything to help … The doctor is heard discussing Gabi’s sonogram. While she waits, she whispers for God to please forgive her … Sami has an important email to send and needs a computer. Rafe is sure Gabi would not mind her using hers so Sami sits down. She now stares at the clinic website. “Oh my God!” Will is anxiously waiting. The doctor arrives and shakes Gabi’s hand. She will be performing her procedure ... Rafe looks over Sami’s shoulder at the clinic website and gasps “Oh no! Oh Gabi!” Sami is at a loss for words. END |
