Wednesday, May 30, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! posted by 2:22 pm est May 29 DESPERATE MEASURES! - Rafe reassures nervous Nicole as they approach Dr. Dan's office at the hospital. He concedes there is a chance the test will show EJ is the father and he will find out. She panics EJ will ingratiate himself and her baby will not stand a chance. She cannot do this test! Rafe insists she must, in order to prevent EJ from becoming even more suspicious. And so they walk in, where Dr. Dan the medicine man calmly awaits, seated at his desk. Nicole wonders where EJ is. Dan murmurs he has not shown up yet. Nicole hopefully wonders whether he changed his mind, though Dan would not count on it! And so they wait. Dan tells worried Nicole that she and her baby will be fine. Nicole snaps those ruthless DiMeras will not leave her baby alone. If only there was a way to prevent EJ from knowing the truth ... Dan deduces she wants him to change the paternity test results once they are done. Rafe silently seems to agree. Nicole does not deny it. She realizes, however, there is no chance of it and sits down with Rafe. He is sympathetic and sorry that things do not always work out the way one wants. Nicole tries to be brave ... - EJ is at the town square, tormented with the knowledge that his sister is dying. Abe approaches and appears surprised he is no longer visiting with Lexie. EJ explains she was tired. It is all so unfair. He informs Abe that she also asked him to do something for her husband. She wanted him to step aside as mayor. Abe drawls he would not have let him resign as mayor for him. He knows Lexie believes if he were busy as mayor, he would not have time to grieve. However, nothing will change the fact that he is losing the love of his life. - Stefano is at the Carver house, hugging his beloved Alexandra. He gets her comfy on the sofa and puts a blanket on her. She notices he has not been sleeping enough and urges him to rest but he wants to take care of his precious daughter. Is there something she has always wanted? What is her heart's desire? Lexie asks him to let others see his caring side, his loyalty, his capacity for love. The phoenix sighs he does not know. Lexie teases she knows him better than he knows himself. She happens to know how much he would do to protect her. Stefano diverts his gaze and kisses her hand. She brings up family, the rough spot he and EJ have hit. She wants to end her life knowing the ones she loves are not at each others' throats. She implores him to promise that he will not hurt anyone she loves, just like he would not have hurt her. He agrees and wipes away a tear, pretending he had something in his eye. He brings them their tea. Stefano also promises to look out for Theo. Lexie wants him to put aside his differences with Abe. The phoenix will try if he will. She accepts that and then suddenly clutches her head. It is but a brief pain. Papa Stefano worries. She asks him not to be sad. He gasps he is sorry for anything he has ever done that hurt her. "I'm so sorry." Lexie leans against him and he holds her close, looking up to the heavens for forgiveness or perhaps even divine intervention. Lexie tells her father she does not want him to be alone. But now it is time to rest. He offers to help her up the stairs. She declines and smiles she loves him. He walks her to the staircase. She smiles weakly again and goes back up to bed. Enter Abe, He stares down Stefano, his eyes filled with loathing. Little do the two men know that Lexie is standing at the top of the staircase and will hear every word of their shocking conversation ... - Will is still at the mansion with Sami and laments it is his fault she and Rafe broke up. Sami is aghast to hear him confess he set it up so Rafe would overhear him tell another that she cheated with EJ. Sami gasps why. "Stefano made me do it!" blurts out Will. How could he make him do it? Because he knew he had shot EJ and blackmailed him, insisting he was going to break up Nicole and EJ sooner or later regardless. Sami is upset he never even came to her and ended up causing so much hurt. Will exclaims Stefano said Rafe deserved to know and he agrees. He adds she would have cheated on him again eventually! Sami is clearly upset. Will gets sarcastic about her unconditional love. Sami understands he was under a great deal of pressure. Will's eyes are filled with tears as he confesses he was too scared to say no to Stefano. She can relate, for she has been there. Will now decides to go talk to EJ to fix this and then find Stefano. Sami wishes he would stay with her but alas he does not. He is desperate to salvage his lucrative job. Sami insists she can help as she knows how to deal with the DiMeras. Will seems to scoff at the notion, claims this has nothing to do with her, and takes off. Sami soon returns home, feeling down. She has no idea that Rafe will be dropping by ... - EJ has now arrived at Dan's office, where Rafe and Nicole are waiting. He snaps it is time to get the test done and prove she has been lying. He sarcastically welcomes Rafe back from the dead. EJ is admittedly testy for his sister is dying. Before he walks off with the doctor, Nicole stops him. He rubs his head. "Now wot?" She suggests they do this another time. He muses she reminds him of a cornered rat, desperate for a way out, but this time there is no way out. Matter of fact, he has come to a decision about their child and she is not going to like it ...!
