BEGINNING OF THE END! - Bo wakes up serenely sleeping Hope with a beautiful white rose and wishes his Fancyface a happy anniversary. They kiss in bed. He is elated he married her and loves her more than ever. A flashback of their wedding vows is shown. She loves him then and now. Always. They continue kissing. - Gabi meets Will at the town square and he tells her of coming out to his folks. She thinks that is huge! He notes his dad was cool but mama Sami flipped her lid. Gabi points out some mothers might not want to hear their son is gay, then explains she did not mean how that came out. She calls Sami a drama queen. Will sighs she actually said nothing, but then took a hissy fit that he had confided in grandma Marlena first. Gabi reassures him. Will now wants an update on her stalker. Gabi gets uncomfortable. Will thinks she should call the police. She would rather not, as it would get back to Rafe, and diverts Will by suggesting they order a couple of lattes. - Chad is with Mel at the coffee house when he gets a text inviting him to a DiMera luncheon for Lexie. Stefano is hosting. Mel is aghast when he invites her. He is doing the right thing by going, says she. However, his papa Stefano is not someone she wants to be around. Chad frets.He does understand, yet his sister is dying and has asked him to make peace with the family. Mel is not thrilled at the idea. Chad adds Stefano is losing his daughter and he is human - sometimes. Mel smiles his heart is in the right place. She gets it, though she fears that the sly phoenix might use Lexie's illness to draw him back in. And he is EVIL! Chad blinks. Mel suggests he go to the lunch for his sister. She will understand. Chad unhappily departs. Mel unhappily stays behind, realizing that did not go well. - John and Marlena are at the town square. She is all smiles, having just gotten off the phone with son Eric. John has spoken to Belle and Claire. Marlena gushes everyone is glad things are back to normal. John solemnly states that as long as Stefano is free, nothing can be normal. The pair sit at an outdoor table of the town square café. Marlena tries to put his mind at ease, but John is convinced the clear and present danger remains. He gets a call and excuses himself, claiming it is agency business. Marlena looks concerned. - At the Carver house, Celeste plays with Theo, who decides he wants to play with her cards. He suddenly draws a card and shows mommy. Tis the card of death! Celeste hastily explains that card can also mean a new start. Lexie gets Theo excited about today's luncheon. The lad is looking forward to seeing Uncle EJ. Abe, however, is less than enthusiastic about the gathering of the dastardly DiMera clan. He has a bad feeling. - At the mansion, Stefano is on the phone, speaking with the present jeweler about the coin. He is willing to pay any price for what he needs! EJ interrupts and warns he will not let him pay with the money he stole from him! Stefano growls he stole it from John Black to begin with. He sits down at his desk and airily adds he is busy at the moment. EJ assures him he will be back to continue the discussion. The phoenix is impatient. That will never happen! He stands up and boasts of his CIA involvement. He reminds angry EJ that John Black's pension fund made him mayor. Furthermore, he suggests he move on and drinks to it."Salut!" EJ pauses. He wonders whether the phoenix has difficulty with human emotions. It is not so easy to move on. Stefano sarcastically snaps to talk to Marlena, in that case. EJ thinks that is harsh. He still has feelings for his siblings and even him, which is why he has not strangled him! "Enough," mutters Stefano. "I made you and if I want to, I can brrrreak you!" Lexie enters and cries to stop. She clutches her head in pain ... - Marlena greets Will at the coffee house with a warm embrace. He updates her on coming out to Lucas and Sami. How did it go? He laments Sami did not take it well. In fact, she walked out. Marlena is sympathetic. Will notes Lucas took it like a champ, but his mom ... Marlena suggests he give her time. She will come around and realize it does not mean she was a bad parent. Meantime, he is living his truth, which is by far the most important thing. Will teases he is glad she is not dead. They giggle and she realizes it is time to go to work. Exit Marlena. Will plops down at a table. At another table, Gabi approaches Mel, who confesses she made a mistake. She tells nosy Gabi all about Chad's DiMera invitation. Perhaps she should have gone with him and should have been more accepting of his relationship with his father. Gabi insists that if he wants to be with his father, who is a sicko, then she must leave him! She has to break up with Chad! Mel appears surprised by her strong reaction. - At the mansion, EJ and Stefano rush to Lexie's side together. She soon recovers from the brief episode. Theo races in wearing a big grin. Stefano is thrilled to see him and takes him to the garden. Abe is the last man to enter and steps away for a phone call. Once they are alone, Lexie makes it clear to EJ that she does not approve of the bickering. EJ assures her that he and fatha were merely having a spirited debate. She begs him to promise he will keep the peace. He will try. She gasps thank you and emotionally reminds him they must be grateful for the time they have left. EJ's eyes are filled with tears. "It is not enough," he murmurs. Lexie explains she did not get the chance to know Tony well enough and she will not have the chance with Cameron or Chad. She did, however, get to know him as her brother and loves him so much. EJ is moved and hugs her, his eyes mirroring his torment. - John Black meets an unsavory character at the park, who hands him a gun. John drawls this will do the job. He hands the character some cash and smoothly slips the gun into his pocket. They agree they were never even here and proceed to go their separate ways.
