BEGINNING OF THE END - Part 2 - Marlena frowns and follows John, having witnessed him at the park with the thug and the gun! - Hope and shirtless Bo enjoy champagne in bed. He is relieved they are no longer chasing secret bank accounts. Hope now wonders why Alice sent money to Africa. Turns out Doug and Julie did not manage to find anything in Africa. Bo sighs. He would rather have happy thoughts about their amazing life and takes her in his arms. - Gabi reminds Mel that Stefano set up her brother and the others to be killed in the safe house. Mel does not want Chad to get sucked into that. Gabi urges her to break up with Chad, but Will interrupts and informs Gabi her order was mixed up. Gabi goes to see in a huff. Will sits down and Mel now confides in him about what transpired, He suggests she do something to fix it. She should go be with him. Mel realizes he is right and flounces off to tell Chad she loves him more than she hates Stefano. Gabi returns. When Will updates her that Mel is going to Chad, the girl grimaces. - At the mansion, Theo comes back inside. He was thrilled with his new swing. Stefano pauses in the foyer and quietly laments to Celeste that he would exchange his life for Alexandra's in a heartbeat. Abe emerges and quips he wishes he would! Celeste returns to the living room. Abe once again confronts Stefano for being responsible for Andre holding Lexie underground, where the toxic gas gave her a tumor. Stefano denies it was his fault. Abe growls Andre was working for HIM and that makes him responsible. Stefano becomes curious whether he has told Lexie this detail. No, but this is not over! Abe storms off. Ding dong! Stefano now opens the door to Chad with a big smile. He has missed him! Everyone is in the other room. Chad hopes it is not too late. He declares he wants to be part of the family. However, he cannot do the things EJ does and he will not be like him. Stefano is certain he will never do what Elvis has done and embraces him warmly. EJ appears in the doorway and stares. Moments later, Lexie greets her younger brother. Stefano walks off to check in with the cook. Lexie now realizes that Mel is noticeably absent. Chad stammers. Lexie assures the young man his relationship will be able to survive if he keeps father at arm's length. They hug and she says she loves him. He only wishes they had more time together. Ding dong! Chad opens the door to Mel. She rushes to Lexie and greets her. Lexie thanks her for coming and discreetly gives the pair their privacy. Mel announces to Chad that loving him is more important than Stefano and so she will accept him as Lexie's brother and Stefano's son. They seal it with a kiss. The DiMeras all converge in the elegant living room. Stefano announces that luncheon is served. Lexie first wishes to say something. She would like her mother to take Theo out of the room. Mel offers to do so. Lexie now emotionally implores her unique family to try and get along, for Theo's sake. Stefano places his hands on her shoulders and is reduced to tears as she cries she needs them to be the family her little boy deserves. They all agree to do their part. EJ kisses his sister on the forehead. Stefano promises his daughter she has their word and they embrace. - Back at the coffee house, Will pleasantly warns jealous Gabi to stop trying to break up Chad and Mel, cos it is not gonna happen! Exit Will. Gabi, however, has another idea for Chad. She sits down and gets to work on her ipad, determined to have her way with him no matter what ... - The DiMeras are introduced to a photographer by Lexie, who wanted to have official photos of them all together. The photographer gathers the clan by the staircase and starts to snap away ... - Outside, Marlena catches up with John. She saw him with that man and he cannot kill Stefano! John notes it would be easy to shoot him at close range and finish him off. He will cover his tracks and then get rid of the piece. She cannot stop him! Marlena urges him to let it go if he really loves her. He should let someone else handle the threat of Stefano. - Hope wakes up with a start as she recalls John saying they were out of options. She kisses sleeping Bo and ominously promises him that Stefano will never come between them again! - John eventually agrees he cannot do this to Marlena. He promises to get rid of the gun She thanks him and whispers she loves him. He loves her too, grabs her face, kisses her, and murmurs he will see her at home. Marlena drops a white bag in the trash and walks away. John sighs and goes in the other direction. Marlena pauses and defiantly whispers "It's okay John. I'll make sure Stefano pays for his crimes ...!" END |
