Episode 12,077 As Salem gets deeper into night, its many mysteries and secrets deepen ... - Stunned Sami has opened the gift revolver. She calls Kate insane. Kate is convinced it is a fitting gift for a future DiMera. Sami sarcastically wonders where her sense of romance went. Kate talks delusion, reminds her that her granddaughter lives in that house and there is a child safety lock. Sami thinks she does not need the sleek black weapon. Kate proceeds to list the people who come and go at the mansion, including Stefano the master. A woman always needs to protect herself. Sami sticks out her chin and declares she does not need any protecting! Kate calmly claims she is never wrong. She wished for protection daily at the DiMera mansion. Sami points out EJ is no Stefano. Kate mysteriously warns that things do go wrong in that house, insists she therefore keep the gift, and advises her to try not to shoot her future husband. Again! - At the restaurant, Abigail sweetly talks private dessert. Cam drawls he is hungry. He wonders whether she has ever worked at a restaurant. Only when she helped out at the Brady pub and literally ran into him. Cam explains in college he did too, as a dishwasher, busboy, and waiter. He sighs the bills never stop coming, even now. Ring ring! He says not tonight to Lenny. Abigail flashes back to his nekid dancing. Eerie music is heard and she primly notes that must have been the club calling. He explains they needed an extra dancer for a bachelorette party and insists it is no big deal. Abigail pouts. Cam chows down and notices her mood change. She is sorry but keeps pouting. Cam asks why the change. She admits she is still innocent, and out with a guy who has women throwing themselves at him three nights a week, when he takes to the stage to entertain them. She is increasingly uncomfortable. Cam agrees they do throw themselves at him though he only has eyes for her. She sighs and looks down. Cam decides to make things right. He places a call to the club and promptly announces he is done with dancing and that is final! - Brady is on his phone outside, insisting he wants the guy for the job. Now to another call. He speaks with Dan (unseen and unheard) in order to confirm that he and Jen are standing up at their wedding. Affirmative. Brady has one remaining invitation to give someone and this one must be done in person ... - At the rectory, Father Eric urges Nicole to tell him about Vargas. Did the former felon instill fear in her? Did he do something? Nicole starts to stammer, then explains they did consent to kiss. Eric takes a cold drink of water and wonders what she meant when she said Vargas is not who he seems. Nicole gasps sometimes people take advantage. She flashes back to Vargas threatening to expose to the priest she secretly loves that she cried out his name when they almost had sex. Back to reality. She will only say she has a feeling about Vargas, that is all. Eric concludes something went wrong between her and the felon she kissed. Nicole suddenly decides to just say it. But Brady interrupts, as he seeks an audience with his holy brother. Eric asks for another moment with Nicole, but she decides it was no big deal and appears to have changed her mind. Father Eric notes he has a confession. The two brothers agree to meet at the pub in an hour. Exit Eric. Before Brady departs, Nicole congratulates him on his engagement. She praises him for following his heart and is genuinely happy for the love birds. He thanks her. She asks him to give Kristen her best. He asks what she really wants. Nicole murmurs it is personal and shuts the door. She needs him to check out Vargas but no one else can know! - Gabi comes happily home to the Kiriakis mansion and learns from cheerful Maggie that Nick the new husband is already home. Meanwhile unshaven Nick is taking their room apart, desperate for the missing money! He yells and gasps and rummages, then realizes it is gone. He deduces there was an intruder in his room who stole it. Now he will make them pay! He comes downstairs to Gabi and Maggie admiring photos of Ally in the garden. Nick takes a look and immediately notices Lucas was at the house. He stares darkly. Maggie asks the frazzled genius if he needs something to drink. He asks about Sami visiting. The redhead explains she was inside while she and Lucas were in the garden with Ally, admiring the spring flowers. Nick hastily excuses himself to go on a mysterious errand ... - At the town square, Rafe feels he has the upper hand and he revels in it. He taunts EJ for freaking out when he mentioned Sami. EJ charmingly denies it. Rafe offers to put his mind at ease. He now announces even if hell freezes over, he still wants nothing to do with that Sami Brady! He hopes he has made himself crystal clear. EJ cannot suppress his smile of relief, though he still believes Rafe carries a connection. Rafe starts to leave. EJ stops him and wants to know when he is giving Johnny his new FBI jacket, as promised. He understands the kids are attached to him and therefore he can hang around for them. He adds to not make him look bad in his boy’s eyes, though. Rafe drawls Johnny will be able to see that all by himself! The good will fades from EJ’s face. He does not give a damn about Rafe, who clearly does not give a damn about him. However, it is s mystery why he refuses to admit his disappointment in his and Samantha’s engagement. Rafe quips they deserve each other and boasts he has moved on. He sarcastically offers to find the happy couple a judge to speed things up. He will be in touch about that FBI jacket and saunters off into the dark night. - Sami has just ended an anxious phone message about putting the kids to bed. Footsteps are approaching her office door. She stares. Unshaven Nick now appears, his eyes filled with the threat of danger. He murmurs "Surprise." They are all alone. Sami gasps in shock.
