Inside, Kayla anxiously arranges flowers, trying to stay strong. Jen bids her to come sit with herself, Jack, and Abigail. Kayla is glad Jack came. He would not have missed this gathering for the world. Kayla still cannot believe what Stefano did to her family. Victor enters with Maggie and vows Stefano will pay dearly for this! The redhead takes him aside and tries to talk him out of bloodshed. He refuses to let it go. She reminds him they are gathered here today to remember and celebrate their loved ones. Victor grumbles fine, then he will go after Stefano tomorrow. Kayla gets upset with him. Victor points out nothing has been done for decades and Commissioner Roman is ineffectual! Jack defends Roman, noting Kayla just lost Bo and he is the only brother she has left. Victor apologizes. Kayla accepts his apology and cries as Maggie consoles her. Victor soon mutters to Maggie he will bury his son and his wife and then go after that dastardly DiMera. Chad enters and drawls one is innocent until proven guilty. Victor warns him to be careful or he too could end up paying the price of believing Stefano. Mel tries to calm hot head Chad down and points out everyone in the room believes his father killed those people. More guests arrive. Chad decides he needs to get some fresh air before the wake ... - Brady is working on his computer, having thrown himself into Basic Black, to make it a success in his father's memory. Madison watches in her black dress. She thinks he should concentrate on the service for today. No pressure. Brady laments Stefano ruined years of his father's life and then killed him. He will pay! Madison is sympathetic. Brady recalls how far they had come in their relationship. And they used to laugh when they disagreed. "I was really getting to know him." Then Stefano took him away. Madison adds he still has the knowledge that he and his father knew they loved each other. Brady emotionally states he had that thanks to her. She cries he got that on his own and understands he wants to honor his memory. But John would want him to think things through, stay level headed, so that when he goes for Stefano, he will not miss! - Billie knocks on Austin's door. No answer. She enters regardless and finds him huddled in the corner in the dark. She hugs him and he cries his beloved Carrie is gone. Once he is dressed, Billie finds Carrie's crumpled picture on the floor. He admits he is in fact furious at her! "There was no reason for her to be there!" He suspects she was only at the safe house for HIM. Billie begs him not to do this. He rages she had admitted she had feelings for him. And look what happened. She could not tear herself away from her sister's husband, and now she is dead. He exclaims he is angry and misses her at the same time. - At the mansion, Stefano glances at the news of the memorial for the Salem six. Will storms in. The phoenix is not surprised to see him. The young man sniffles they were his family. "Why did you kill them?!!" Stefano sighs. He stands up and remarks this is a classic Brady reaction. He denies any wrongdoing. Will screams not to lie. Stefano advises him to step back or else. Will shrieks after everything he has done for him, he did not even think twice about killing his grandmother! Suited EJ has just arrived. He stops and suspiciously wonders just WOT he did for his fatha! Stefano explains he works for the family. EJ points out he actually works for him. Will claims that for him it still feels the same and wants to know if EJ knew anything about the murders. No. Stefano insists he has done nothing. Will thinks he is a twisted man who does not deserve to be alive and talks tough. The phoenix warns him not to be stupid or he might not like the consequences ... - Lucas consoles crying Sami at her place. She is feeling badly over how she treated her mother and Carrie and Rafe ... He assures her it will be okay but she sighs they are gone for good and she will never be able to make things right. Lucas holds her close and she cries like a baby on his shoulder. He wants her to eat and offers to make eggs. She cries he has done more than enough, feeding the kids and taking them to school. He insists he is there to take care of her. She now finds out he also told the school. Sami cries she does not know how to break the news to the kids. They lost their grandparents and Rafe was like a father to them. How can she tell them? Lucas offers to tell them the tragic news along with her. They can do it together. Sami clutches him and keeps crying. She doubts she is strong enough to deal with today. She was always the screw-up. Lucas suggests she start over, in that case. One step at a time. Sami woefully decides she must make things right with Will, who was especially close with her mom. She is very worried about him. - ISA Shane casually sits on a park bench with Roman. Roman is not looking forward to keeping up the lie and calls it a game. Shane solemnly states it is more than a game. There is a clear and present danger here! They must bring down Stefano once and for all! Roman agrees. - Stefano assures Will that his grandmother was also special to him. Will doubts it. Stefano steps out to take a call. EJ repeats he wants to know what he meant when he said he had done things for his fatha.Will repeats he meant what he did for him. EJ warns he had better be telling the truth. Will snaps if he wants to satisfy his paranoia, then he should ask his father! Exit Will. EJ stares, realizing there is indeed something to this ...
