Kayla throws her arms around Shane. Sami sobs loudly. Brady and Madison arrive and Brady is in denial. He barks at Roman to get the facts straight. His father was fine this morning. Lucas holds back Will when he loses it. Roman is sorry but it is true, he was there. Gabi enters and soon hears big brother Rafe is indeed among the casualties. Nicole comes in behind her, clutching her stomach. "Rafe's dead?" Kayla helps her to a seat. Will consoles crying Gabi. Austin cries to Billie that Carrie was supposed to come home to him. He wonders how she will tell Chelsea about Bo. She does not know. Roman holds Sami as she cries how could he let them die! Lucas wants to step in but Roman has it under control and soothes his crying child as she sobs and blames him. "Daddy, they trusted you!" He was the police commissioner and was supposed to protect them! Brady and Shane insist it was not his fault. Sami laments she lost her mother and her sister. Will cries and yells she is not the only one crying and has mistreated everyone. He screams she cheated on Rafe and his father deserves to know who she really is! Lucas is unable to get him to stop. Austin takes him aside. Will continues to rage, his face as red as the fires of hell. Austin assures him that Sami loved Carrie and eventually gets him to calm down. Lucas perceives he is simply sickened with grief and does not think he really means what he is saying. Billie gets an update from Roman and Shane on the safe house. Austin joins them and demands to know what his wife was doing there. Roman explains she brought the groceries and helped. Brady dramatically declares this is cold blooded murder and storms out to make Stefano pay with his own life! Roman, Shane, and Madison follow him in a hurry. - Kate is at the town square café, where Ian has surprised her with a private party for a romantic evening. Kate flashes back to Stefano cruelly casting her aside at the very same spot. She gasps how could he do such a thing! Ian is baffled. She tells him what happened here and he is sorry. Kate sighs Stefano is a dreadful bastard who revels in the pain of others. Of course Ian is nothing like that! He suavely suggests they go elsewhere. Kate defiantly decides she will not let her ex ruin her evening or her life and so they ought to stay. They sit by the pretty tulips as the champagne is poured. Ian proposes a toast to her freedom. Now she is finally free of that monster. Kate nervously notes Stefano never forgives and forgets. Ian quips neither does he. He presents her with an expensive gift. Tis a bracelet. Kate removes it from her wrist and refuses to accept it. After all he has already done, this is still too soon. He suspects she still has feelings for Stefano. She does indeed. Ian slowly shakes his head. "That just won't do!" - Elsewhere at the town square, Jack and Jen start to kiss, pleased about their Chez Rouge dinner. Daughter Abigail rushes up, out of breath, and exclaims something terrible has happened! Aunt Maggie called. Jen tries to understand what her hysterical daughter is trying to say. When she hears of the explosion that Bo and Hope were in, she holds her daughter tight, her eyes widening with horror. Jack is stunned. - Stefano is sitting alone at the mansion, remembering that once upon a time in Italy, papa Santo instructed him to find the Anastasia egg, whose contents were crucial to the future of the family. Stefano the boy had asked what he meant. Santo had taken a few deep breaths. And then he was gone. Back to reality. EJ storms into the mansion. "Fatha, what in God's name have you done!" The phoenix impatiently wonders what he is supposed to have done. EJ lists the names of the Salem six who were in hiding from HIM when a bomb killed them all. Marlena, John, Bo, Hope, Rafe and Carrie are all dead and their blood is on his hands! Stefano stands up and assumes this is a ploy and has something to do with their recent issues. EJ mentions the games he used to play. It was all about winning or losing. He solemnly states that he never imagined he would end things this way. Stefano stares, realizing it is true. This was not supposed to happen! EJ remarks then he is admitting he did it! He murdered them all! Stefano grumbles of course not. EJ perceives he was listening to morbid Wagner music and drinking cognac. How fittingly macabre! Stefano is horrified. He whispers he never wanted them dead. EJ accuses him of wanting what he cannot have and treating his loved ones with indifference. Stefano begs to differ. EJ points out that Lexie cared for all the people he killed. Stefano looks down. EJ snaps his family is shrinking by the day. He mentions Kate. Stefano growls she betrayed him with the other man. EJ rages he has spent half his adult life trying to win his respect. Stefano quietly reminds him he is still not his son. EJ urges him to let him help him through this. Stefano reasons things have changed. EJ warns that when they learn what he did, they will come after him. This is what he knows ... - Chad and Mel are at in bed at his place. He is busily reading another motorcycle magazine. Mel starts to seduce him but he stops her, too preoccupied with his dying sister. She wishes she could do something. He holds her and notes she is there and that is enough. He also expects Gabi to be needing a ride after she meets with the commissioner. They decide to make the most of their time together after all and kiss. - Shane, Roman, and Madison try to reason with cowboy Brady outside the pub. Killing Stefano will not change anything. But Brady is thirsty for revenge. Madison warns he would spend his life in prison and begs him not to do that to them! - Nicole sits by Kayla and tries to make young Gabi feel better. Sami approaches and cries that Rafe was the most amazing man she has ever known even though things did not work out between them. She hugs her. - Lucas asks Will to go easy on his mother. Will notes grandma Marlena was always there for him and he does not understand why she hated her. Lucas assures him Sami really loved her mother. - When ISA Shane comes back inside, ISA Billie is at his side in an instant, whispering he simply must tell her what is really going on ...
