Sonny feels badly for Chad and is surprised EJ has not been on TV talking justice. Will sighs he has no idea what EJ is doing and admits he fired him all because of Stefano. "He ruined everything!" he exclaims. - Bo and Hope pay a visit to John and Marlena's place. They have an update. It turns out Abe's gun was used to kill Stefano. Bo solemnly states the lab found matches for seven other sets of prints on said gun. "Including the four of us!" John stares. Marlena gasps. Hope explains the government is sending down their own investigator. Marlena admits to John she went to the mansion to confront Stefano. John is sorry too cos he did the same. Hope notes they all did. Bo wonders where that leaves them ... - As Sami watches Roman confront EJ, EJ insists he did not kill his fatha. Sami agrees. Roman hands him an envelope, his eyes cold and suspicious. EJ removes Stefano's will and Roman points out Stefano recently revised it and removed his name. He now had a motive to kill! EJ argues there is not even a witness who signed the paper. This was one of fatha's games, a mere prop he intended to wave around. He did not execute it and never would have. Roman notes maybe that is because he stopped him! EJ warns he would need a tighter case to accuse him. Roman drawls his fingerprints were also found! Sami takes it all in. EJ smoothly admits he was at the mansion and picked up a gun he saw, but that was all. He will cooperate and assures the commissioner he wants the one who killed his fatha caught and punished. Roman appears to doubt it. EJ notes he was his own flesh and blood and to a DiMera that means everything! Sami is sympathetic. They later talk. She knows how much family means to him. EJ now remembers Nicole's paternity test. Sami asks him to keep her posted. He will, thanks her profusely, and is gone. - Nervous Nicole and Rafe are in Dr. Dan's office. Rafe is sorry it is too late to try and switch the test results so EJ will not know he is the real father. Nicole flashes back to Dan catching her changing the labels, as well as her unhappy little plea. She blinks back to reality and assures Rafe he did the noble thing. She just wants this to be over and now assumes EJ will find out. Rafe wishes he could do something. Nicole points out as of today, his responsibilities will be over. Rafe suggests EJ might not even show up, given his father's recent death. Nicole doubts that would deter him. Dr. Dan enters. Nicole is admittedly jittery. He casually states this will be over soon. Nicole sighs it will be the beginning of her nightmare. Losing his father will only make EJ even more powerful and meaner. Nothing will stop him from taking away her child! Dan sits and stares. Nicole is sorry about Rafe losing Carrie but he insists things work out for a reason. Besides, Carrie is having Austin's baby. He steps out to take a call. Tis Roman, wanting to reinstate him. He has already checked with ISA Shane. Roman is looking forward to have one of the best detectives on the case. Rafe is thrilled. He is looking forward to being back in the thick of things! Meanwhile, Dan wants to talk to Nicole about last night. - Back at the coffee house, Sonny learns how Stefano blackmailed Will into making sure Rafe found out his mom and EJ had a fling, so as to break everyone up. Sonny realizes his loud confession that day was for Rafe's benefit. Will insists that was not his original plan, but then Rafe walked in and so he let him overhear to avoid having to tell him to his face. Sonny calls that twisted. He let Stefano push him around and ruin his mom's marriage. He is also miffed he used him. Will concedes he messed up, then insists he did not use him. He hopes to make it up to him. Sonny grins and all is forgiven. Will now complains he is homeless and without a job. He is glad that Stefano is dead. Sonny quietly warns him not to say such things or else he will be suspected of killing him! The friends plop down on the sofa together. Will teases surely he does not think he did it. Sonny grins no, but he does not want anything to happen to him. All of a sudden, Sami bursts in, upset that Will has been ignoring her calls. Will defiantly drawls he has been spending time with Sonny, who politely tries to excuse himself. Sami assures Will she wants to help him. Will snaps he does not need help for being gay. Sami did not mean to imply that. She loves him no matter what. Will drapes an arm around Sonny and taunts Sami they are together and in love. Would she be okay with that?! - Nicole assumes Dan is referring to their kiss. He, however, meant the switcheroo she pulled. Their conversation is abruptly cut short by the arrival of EJ. They offer their condolences for his father's death. Nicole and Dan sound sincere, but Rafe, who has just returned, is glib. Dr. Dan excuses himself to fetch the test results from the lab. Rafe puts his arm around Nicole like a possessive boyfriend. EJ informs her he knows the results will show she is carrying his child and he intends to be a part of their life! - Marlena asks Bo who else was at the mansion that fateful night when Stefano was shot. "Junior, Kate, and Will," replies Bo. Marlena becomes upset and insists her grandson could not have killed Stefano. None of them could have! Knock knock. Tis Roman and the lady cop who is shadowing him in order to prove he is going by the book before the state investigator arrives. The lady officer goes out into the hall to take a call. Roman mutters he certainly hopes there is not a cover-up going on here. He blasts the four of them for lying to him. They are all sorry. Roman drawls this looks very bad and so he needs to know ... "Did somebody in this room murder Stefano DiMera?" - Dr. Dan has returned to his office. Nicole, EJ, and Rafe all wait with bated breath. Dan begins.
