"According to the lab results, the father of Ms Walker's baby is Rafe Hernandez." "WOT!" exclaims EJ. He has a look, is utterly convinced it is a lie, then accuses Nicole of changing the results. She flies off the handle and calls him a sore loser when he warns he will get another test. He implores her not to deprive him of his child for she knows he is a good fatha. He has already lost much. Nicole asks for a moment alone with EJ. Dan reminds her stress is not good for the baby. Rafe promises he will be right outside the door. They both exit. EJ quietly thanks her. Nicole understands he is hurting. He laments he is losing all that he loves. He lost her, his fatha, and his sister is dying. "Don’t take this child away from me, please." Nicole is sorry and wishes she could take the pain away. However, the lab tests do not lie. EJ asks her to be with him anyway, for he can still raise the child, even if it is not his. Nicole reminds him the test results prove there is no longer anything between them. EJ refuses to accept it. "It's never going to be over between you and me!" He haughtily departs. Nicole starts to cry and falls into a chair, holding her stomach. She is clearly stressed. - Sami forces a smile and stammers she is surprised. She would like to get to know Sonny better and wonder if it is serious. Sonny explains Will is just trying to get a reaction out of her. He sternly notes Will is using him yet again and advises his friend not to make this harder than it has to be. He suggests he gives his mom time to adjust and steps away. Sami appreciates it, then informs Will she loves him no matter what. Sonny returns with mugs for all and charmingly sits at a table with them. Sami likes Sonny and teases Will he should be dating him! She now invites Will to come stay at her apartment. Will quips no thanks. Sonny suggests he at least think about it. Will agrees to give it some thought after all. - John drawls none of them are sorry the old man is dead. However, none of them shot him. Roman reminds the four to come down to the station for a gunshot residue test and not to leave town. Bo agrees. Exit Roman. - Roman now heads for the coffee house, looking for Will. He is all business when he interrupts the happy chatter between Sami, Will, and Sonny. He wishes to speak with Will. Sami wonders why. Roman will only say it is about Stefano's murder! Sonny excuses himself to go do inventory. Will agrees Sami can stay. Roman now informs him his fingerprints were found on the murder weapon. Sami snaps he had nothing to do with it! - Bo and Hope leave for their gunshot residue test. John drawls he has a business call and will join them later. Once they are gone, he and Marlena dramatically embrace. Marlena gasps she is glad he is dead. John is just glad someone did it. Marlena reminds him she shot Stefano once years ago and can understand why someone would be driven to it. John peers at her. - Nicole is relaxed again in Dan's office when Rafe wonders how this happened. She thinks it is a miracle. He teases he will get to the bottom of the matter eventually, though first he must go to the police station as he is back on the force. Nicole congratulates him. He hugs her, promises to see her soon, and exits. Nicole now throws her arms around Daniel and calls him a wonderful wonderful man! He smiles and returns the embrace. Why did he not change the labels back? Dan explains he saw how terrified she was and realized she was right. It was not an easy decision as he has experienced this satiation as a father and son and it is painful indeed. Nicole knows. She gets choked up that he did this for her. Dan's reason was two words. DiMera family. He adds Stefano was a bastard and now he is dead. He groomed EJ in his image and her child deserves better. Nicole thanks him yet again and notes he is risking his medical career. Dan declares he only has the wellbeing of her child in mind. Nicole smiles he is the best and she cannot imagine what she would do without him! She deviously hugs him one more time ... - At the condo, Marlena shoves her red coat back in a bag and flashes back to being at the mansion the night of the murder when she picked up the gun, wearing the same coat. John is ready now and asks about the bag. She airily replies it just contains some things to donate to the women's shelter. They leave to take the gunshot residue test. - Bo and Hope are at the station ready for the gunshot reside test. They anxiously agree neither of them shot Stefano and embrace. - Back at the coffee house, well meaning Sami informs Roman that Lucas took the gun away from Will so he could not have shot Stefano. Roman drawls the murder weapon was Abe's gun, which was left at the mansion. Sami is horrified. Will is very quiet. Roman now demands to know just what he was doing at the DiMera mansion last night. Sami gives her son a nervous look ... END |
