LINK ONLY! posted on June 28 early afternoon est FORGET ME NOT ... - John, Marlena, and Abe enter crowded Chez Rouge, which is filled with beautiful flowers. They assure Abe the service at St. Luke’s was wonderful. He stares at the large picture of his wife and laments it is not right she was taken. Jack and Jen enter with Kayla, who frowns upon reading Steve’s text of condolences. She is miffed he is off saving the world. Jack notes it is genetic, as he is the same way. Perhaps he can talk to him. Kayla, however. feels it is simply too late. “Our marriage is over!” Bo and Hope arrive and Bo cannot believe what he has heard his sister say! Nearby, Sami arrives with the kids and Johnny and Sydney rush to EJ with a hug. They wonder when Lexie is coming back. He admits she is not. They deduce she is with nono Stefano. They all assume papa EJ is sad. He is indeed and appreciates having them there. They hug. He appreciates Sami bringing them. They sit at an elegant table. When Theo comes in with Celeste, he runs to his cousins. Chad and Gabi and Abigail run into Cameron. Abigail hugs him. They assure him Theo is lucky to have him. Chad promises to be a good uncle. Cameron regrets that he did not get the chance to know Lexie well before she was lost. The gang promise to tell him about Lexie. John, Marlena, and Abe now decide that would be best for this memorial. For everyone to talk about the person Lexie was. Abe now sits at a table with John, Marlena, Cameron, and Abigail. Cam is curious how Abe and Lexie met. The gang recall how she was a cop, which surprises Cameron. He is even more surprised to hear she once went rogue. They all chuckle. John muses she never did like playing by the rules. Marlena explains she did it for the greater good. Flashback of Lexie informing Marlena she is the secret “Pacifier” who was out for her own brand of justice. Abe recalls she was caught and he had to fire her, but wanted her reinstated. She turned him down and went to medical school instead, with Tom Horton as her mentor. At a nearby table, EJ notices Lucas and Will are not present. Sami explains they took tired Ally home. She suspects he wants Will to do another errand and righteously wonders what Lexie would think. EJ quips he would greatly appreciate it if she just dropped that tonight, for a truce of sorts. Sami insists she does not want to make a scene at this memorial. She wonders how he is holding up. It is difficult. She notes it happened fast. EJ laments he keeps waiting for a phone call. Lexie used to get in touch every few days and leave concerned messages about him, hoping he was keeping things legal. Sami assures him his sister loved and was proud of him. She also knew he was a wonderful father. EJ thanks her for that. - Kayla explains to Bo and Hope that she kept helplessly hoping and updates them on Steve not changing. Bo is admittedly angry at his best friend. Kayla declares they are filing for divorce. Jack and Jen watch her with sympathy. Hope sighs with tears in her eyes. Bo is truly sorry and embraces his sister. “You deserve better than this!” - Nicole runs into suited Dan at the hospital. She went to the delivery floor. He stops her form leaving and asks her to go out for a bite. He admits he could not deal with more than Lexie’s funeral so he would rather not attend the memorial service. He gets reminded of his late wife at such events. How about dinner? Nicole claims it is alright if they pretend their fling never happened. Dan shrugs his shoulders. “If that’s what you want.” He then shows her into his office and suggests he might want to get to know her better. Nicole lists why he might not want to be with her. Dan notes there is more to her than she seems to think. She does not want him to make her out to be someone she is not. He breathes he only said dinner. She smiles then he is buying and makes a comment about their deskapade. Now she tells him what food she does not like and they head out together. - Kayla, Bo, and Hope venture to Abe’s table. They remember Abe was not crazy about Lexie going to medical school. But then he came around and accepted her busy schedule. Flashback of Lexie and Abe in younger days discussing their perspective and love and family plans. Abe chuckles she sailed through med school and was doing what she was born to do. Marlena and Kayla praise her as a doctor. Abe wishes she could have found a way to beat this. Jen points out it was not possible and now their lives will never be the same. - Nicole and Dan are dining at the outdoor town square café. She notices he is not drinking. He drawls he did not want her to feel uncomfortable, then teases he knows she likes to enjoy a cocktail now and then. She insists she is being careful for the baby, then smiles about not having a bad time sober with him. Dan continues to tease her. She admits he is charming even though she is usually attracted to less predictable men. Dan suddenly jumps up, grabs a guitar that was nearby, and proceeds to serenade her. “Solo mio …” Then he makes a joke about bad Leroy Brown. She stops him. He puts the guitar back down and confesses he is not a virtuoso BUT he has proven he is not predictable. Nicole laughs. - Abe recounts how the day he learned Lexie was having their baby was the happiest day of his life. A flashback of her happy announcement is shown. Everyone gathers around Abe, hugging him. EJ stands up all alone, clearly uncomfortable. Sami wonders why he does not go to Abe. He mutters he is persona non grata with them all. Sami decides to stay back with EJ, as Lexie used to hate her and she gave her good reason to! Flashback of Lexie threatening to expose Sami to Brandon, young Sami trying to choke her. Back to reality. Sami now admits to EJ that Lexie could beat her at her own game. EJ teases she is at the top of her game with lying and scheming. Sami teases she had to survive being married to him! EJ gives her a look. Sami now points out she and Lexie had moved on from those years. Lexie helped Johnny as well as her.
