DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Friday, June 29, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! FORGET ME NOT - Part 2 - Abigail gushes she hopes she will have a marriage just like Abe and Lexie. Jack is bemused she does not want to be like him and Jen. Abe confesses it was not always smooth sailing. He originally refused to accept Theo’s autistic diagnosis but Lexie would not hear of it. Hope praises him for what they both did for their son. A flashback is shown of autistic Theo accomplishing his first puzzle. Abe gets choked up. He created a foundation in Lexie’s name to help other parents dealing with autism. He hopes he has what it takes to raise his son on his own. They all assure him he has them too. Hope adds not to forget that. - Sami and EJ both suddenly become uncomfortable and silent. Seconds later, Sami stammers that is a crazy idea. EJ agrees and points out Lexie was more optimistic than they are. Sami thinks that was nice. He agrees. She now brings up that she knows Lexie believed he really could change. Perhaps the time has come. He bitterly wonders if she means because his father is gone. Yes, he can now be his own man. EJ thinks that is easier said than done. Sami deduces maybe he does not want to change and that is the problem. EJ stares. He feels they ought to end this conversation, claiming it could end their fragile truce. Sami says fine, though he should consider for the sake of the children. She haughtily walks off. - Chad and Gabi sit with Abigail and Cameron. Chad updates them on the lack of communication from Mel. Gabi smiles sweetly and reminds him he has her … - Abe gets off the phone with Brandon (unseen, unheard), who was unable to get a flight. Bo and Hope are there for Abe. He realizes they know what it is like to lose a child. Hope sagely states they are family. - EJ sits alone. Celeste wonders how he is. He wonders if she cares. The psychic remarks Lexie did and she promised they would get along for Theo’s sake. EJ reasons she is supposed to have a sixth sense. He has a question that weighs heavy on his mind. Will they ever catch the man who killed his fatha? Celeste ominously replies that whatever happened that night will come out. “Is that what you really want?” EJ becomes defensive. Why would he not want that! He insists he did not kill his fatha. Celeste believes him and she is sorry if she upset him. She stands up and steps away. EJ considers. - Dan offers to walk Nicole to her car. She turns him down, implies it is not in the cards for people like them, and bids him goodnight. He tells her to take care of herself and woefully watches her walking away. - Abe now takes to the podium and informs the well dressed crowd that Lexie had planned this night and she wanted them to dance. Time to grab a partner! Gabi asks Chad to dance, reminding him Mel is not there. Chad sniffles sure and they slow dance as a couple. Kayla notes Lexie said everyone and starts to slow dance with Abe. Johnny now suggests mommy dance with daddy. She does not think that would be a good idea. Neither does he. Johnny points out Aunt Lexie wanted them all to dance and hands daddy the rose. Sami holds the rose and slow dances with EJ. Meanwhile Kayla assures Abe that Lexie is looking down on them now. They dance cheek to cheek. - The dancing has ended. Hope proposes a toast to Lexie, the best kind of friend a person could have. She taught them all to cherish loved ones while one still has the chance. “I was very lucky, very blessed to have Lexie as my friend.” She will never forget her. “To Lexie!” They all raise their glasses and toast to Lexie. - Nicole walks along and looks at Dan’s photo and number on her own phone. She decides she is stupid and puts the phone away. She keeps walking, only to run into Dan, who starts to kiss her passionately. She kisses him back with equal ardor. - Marlena is at the podium. She shares a memory of Lexie when they saw the Tempest together. She reads a speech with moved her friend to tears. It is a speech made by Prospero after he gives his daughter to the man who loves her. Flashbacks of pretty Lexie’s life are shown. “These, our actors, as I foretold you, all spirits, and were melted into air. Into thin air …We are such stuff as dreams are made of …” When the Shakespearian speech has concluded, Marlena emotionally addresses Lexie’s smiling photograph. “Goodnight sweetheart,” she whispers, and so it ENDS. |
