Masked man Andrew enters and hands her a bag of lunch. She asks what he wants. Money? She can make it happen! He stares. “What do you want!” she screams. She refuses to eat the food and repeats she wants to know what he wants. What is his price? Not money. Then what? He leaves the bag, orders her to eat the lunch, and storms out. Mel makes a face at the bag. She later reads and eats as he watches through the peep hole. - At the pub, Chad complains to Gabi he cannot reach Mel. Gabi thinks maybe she needs a break. Chad decides to get in contact with Carly but Gabi warns him not to and grabs his phone away. Why, Mel would not approve! Clueless Chad agrees. She goes on to say that it is Mel who should apologize to him! She should not have up and bolted to Europe before hearing him out when he tried to explain himself. Upset Chad insists she does not owe him anything. It is all his fault and she was the one person he had left! He starts to leave. Gabi takes him by the hand and assures him he has her. He sighs he appreciates it but it is not the same. She appears hurt and he is sorry. No problem. She knows he misses Mel. He laments that it is hard he must attend Lexie’s memorial without her. Gabi assures him they are all there for him, then excuses herself to meet a girlfriend. Chad unhappily plops back down on his chair. - Carrie enters Rafe’s office and he smiles she actually came. She did indeed, as requested, to discuss the case. Where are the others? She is surprised to hear they will be alone for the meeting. He hopes it will not pose a problem. She gazes at him, then stammers they can work together. This is not about her client Will, explains Rafe. He gasps he needs her help. They are officially going after EJ but alas have no search warrant. He needs her advice on how to convince the judge to grant them the search warrant. Carrie reasons he has law enforcement experience, while she is a defense lawyer. He values her opinion. She assumes this is not really about wanting her advice. Rafe gets candid. “I just wanted to see you!” - Ian consoles busy Kate at the work place and wonders if she and Lexie were close. No, but she was always so lovely and kind. Ian suggests he accompany her to the memorial. He would not be bothered by any of the whispers. Kate still feels it is too soon and does not wish to make a scene. Ian suddenly snaps she should hope high Brady does not show up! Kate finds that an odd thing to say. Why does he care so much? He claims it is about losing money for him, that is all. He pours himself a coffee and claims to regret their business association. Kate agrees Brady is acting bizarre. Ian deduces it must be the drugs again. Kate finds the timing odd, as he was happy. She now stands up. “Oh my God. You’re doing this to him, aren’t you!” Ian gives her an innocent look. - Brady comes back to Madison’s place after his run, sweating profusely, and has another shake. He starts to do pushups, clearly over-energized. Madison watches her high boyfriend. He now wants to hop in the shower with her, but she points out he is too sweaty. He gasps and talks about having fun fun fun. She sternly reminds him today is Lexie’s memorial. He grins then after they will have fun! She finds his behavior in extremely poor taste. Still observing him, she asks about his drug test results. He has the paper and hands it to her She opens it and he claims they will finally be able to put this behind them. He drinks up, talks good times, and she reads the contents with a frown. - Nicole informs EJ she has come over to apologize. He folds his arms and wants to know whether she is ready to admit this child is his. An apology would not be enough! She insists this is about something else. She feels badly about how she treated him before. EJ had assumed that was over and done with at the pub earlier. She claims she feels guilty. He implies she is lying and demands to know what she is really up to! She snaps she has no agenda. EJ repeats he is only interested in hearing her admit at long last that the child is his. She retorts it is not true and adds she wants a truce. He is unable to make her leave. She goes on to say how difficult today must be for him, all alone, the day of his sister’s memorial. He admits it is. She wants to be civil for today, if it is possible. - Masked Andrew returns to the prison in his basement and gathers the bag. Mel is on the bed and sighs she would rather not be alone. She states he seems like a good guy, since he brought her food. He pauses, then reminds her if she is good, so will he be. She begs him to let her out so she can see Chad, whose sister is unwell. He notes she must love him. She does, and wants to reach him. “You have to let me out of here!” He says NO. Mel looks ready to cry. - EJ has no absolutely interest in Nicole’s fabrications and tells her so. She suddenly collapses. He places his strong arms around her and urges her to breathe, tenderly calling her Nikki … - Nicole is soon lying on the sofa. EJ is about to dial 911 when she stirs. He calls her sweethot and wants to take her to the hospital, due to the fact that she fainted. His concern is real. She explains she was nauseous earlier too. It is merely morning sickness that ails her. She just needs something for her low blood sugar. He only has coffee and brandy at home. He gallantly insists on getting her something. She would like a cupcake from the bakery. He suggests the pub, as it is just around the corner. She smiles that would be fine. EJ departs and asks her to call if she needs him. Once he is gone, she jumps up and proceeds to rummage through the drawers in the living room. Seek and ye shall find ...!
