INCONVENIENT TRUTHS - Part 2 - Brady boldly assumes the news is good but Madison yells the results are positive. “You lied to me! You’re back on drugs!” - Carrie primly reminds Rafe they were going to keep their relationship professional. Rafe gets back to his original claim, that he wanted her advice on how to handle the judge. She advises him to find more motive, evidence or accuse the judge of preferential treatment. Rafe whispers thank you. She decides to leave. He is sorry if he made her feel in any way uncomfortable and laments he misses her. Carrie gives him a wistful look. He is sorry he made things harder and agrees she should go. Carrie turns back. “But I don’t want to!” She sits next to him on the desk and whispers she is feeling the same thing that he is feeling. She cannot stop thinking about him, what might have been. Rafe murmurs he cannot stop wondering what if. What if she had not gotten pregnant? She cries they would now be together. He realizes they should not talk like this but she cries it is the truth. Their eyes lock. - Chad approaches EJ at the pub as EJ waits for his order. EJ apologizes for not being the one to call about Alexandra. Chad is upset over his loss and regrets not being there. EJ reminds him he only recently learned he was a DiMera. Chad bitterly cries he should have known not to take his family for granted. EJ advises hims to just focus on the time they had, for that is what they would want. Chad sighs he had none and now the family is gone. EJ assures him that he is his family, his brotha. Chad sniffles he is right. He promises to be a better brother. EJ stands up, hugs him with a slap on the back, and talks the DiMera name. Chad breaks down in tears. He wants to be a better brother, but not part of the family business. EJ understands and notes he might change his mind in the future. Chad explains he is not like him. EJ knows what he means, promises to see him at the service, and pleasantly walks out carrying Nicole’s order. - Suspicious Andrew feels Mel might want to escape again. He ties her hands to the bed, gags her, and explains he is expecting company. He then exits and removes the mask, the stress evident on his face. Gabi is heard calling for him, then comes downstairs. Meanwhile, Mel starts to work on the ropes binding her hands to the bed. Her eyes are filled with determination. Outside the door, Andy deduces Gabi needs more help with Chad. She pouts. She wants him to be her stalker again, though not today, for Chad’s sister’s memorial is planned. He agrees, She wants to be surprised this time, to make it believable. He quips she is really something else. Gabi is grateful and departs. “I will call you!” Andrew shakes his head and reaches for his mask. - Nicole now searches behind the couch cushions. No luck. She opens more drawers and sighs, convinced he must be hiding something here. She now makes for the kitchen and rummages through all the drawers there. - Kate accuses Ian of slipping Brady drugs. He denies it. She suspects his motivation is Madison. He insists his heart belongs to Kate but Kate suspects he still does not want his ex with anyone else. Ian insists he only cares about his company. Brady is welcome to Madison. Kate does not buy his act and knows it will go on as long as he wants! He drawls that guy is a junkie and he has nothing more to say on the matter. Kate heads for the memorial, having not believed a word from his lips! - Brady denies the charge. Madison shouts he is high and tells him to stop lying. He rages he has not done drugs in years. However, he finally admits he does feel high. Someone must have slipped him something. Madison doubts anyone would have done such a thing. Brady wonders who … He suddenly realizes what has really happened and storms off to confront the son of a bitch! - Rafe and Carrie come closing to kissing. She whispers she should go. Mesmerized, he whispers yes ... - Gabi returns to Chad at the pub. She notes they should go get ready for Lexie’s memorial. He thanks her for everything. It means much. She repeats she is there for him and holds his arm as they walk out together. - Masked Andrew enters the prison room. He removes the gag from Mel and unties the rope from her hands, which she had already loosened. She complains they were too tight. He thinks this will be better. Once free, she jumps up and knocks her captor down with a roundhouse kick to the head. She then grabs the key and hastily tries to unlock the door. - Brady storms into Ian’s office. “You son of a bitch! I’m going to kill you!” Ian plays innocent and stands up from his desk. “I know what you did!” leers sweating, angry Brady. - Nicole finally finds a small box of shiny new bullets in the kitchen drawer.
