WISH YOU WERE HERE ...

- Sami comes home to Lucas, who has helped himself to a coffee. Lucas is a tad disappointed Will is not with her. Sami is euphoric. He solemnly tells her it has spread like wildfire all over the news that Will was on a
date at a gay bar at the time of Stefano’s murder. Neil inadvertently outed their son to the whole world! Sami sits down and sighs Carrie and Justin should have kept it out of the press. Lucas is sure they tried. He is curious how Will handled it. Sami thinks he took it well and she was proud. He had been planning to share his alibi with them. Lucas feels he will now
be comfortable in his own skin. Sami hopes so. Lucas senses there is something she is not telling him. She informs him that Roman was rather shocked due to the way he found out. Lucas assumes it was hard for him. Sami now regrets how she handled it, though she feels she has made up for her own reluctance to accept it. And she told Will that if anyone gives him a hard time, they will have to answer to her! She takes a bite of her apple and crunches loudly.
- Will sits with Sonny at the pub and wonders what to do now that he has been outed. Sonny is positive and says just to smile. Will woefully states his grandfather has concerns for him. Sonny can relate, as Uncle Victor was the same. He needs to just give Roman time. He will realize he is the same Will. Will appreciates the pep talk. They keep drinking coffee and discussing. Will suddenly wonders what if Roman does not come around and cannot handle it?
- John and Marlena arrive at the Carver residence and console Abe with their embraces and sorrow. Marlena offers to do anything. Abe states Bo and Hope took care of everything and thanks his good friends for being there. Meanwhile, Celeste sadly admires a pink rose in Lexie’s garden. Cameron suggests they go inside but she cries she wants to remain where her baby girl left this world. Cam sits beside her and wishes he had had more time with his sister. Celeste unhappily assumes he will be leaving town. He replies that will not happen. She puts her head on his shoulder. Cam elaborates. He likes Theo and the hospital, where he would feel
like he was keeping Lexie’s work alive. Celeste the psychic calls that marvelous but suspects there is more to this decision. “Abigail Devereaux. You’re staying in Salem to be with her!” she accuses. Cam cannot deny
it. Celeste ominously warns her son that she senses something horrible
and frightening about Abigail. Like what? These are things beyond her control. She does not want him to allow that girl’s darkness to envelope him too. Cam, however, believes he could protect her from anything …
- Mel is determined to unlock her prison door. Andrew decides to take Gabi upstairs, then pauses and glances at the door. Gabi asks what is the matter. “Nothing!” he snaps. Moments later, Mel throws the door open, then stops in her tracks with a start. “Oh my God!” Andy is wearing his black mask and taunts his guest. She stammers she opened the door to
get some air. She races up the stairs but he catches her in an instant. She struggles and protests. Why will he not let her go? The stalker-for-hire is enraged by the stunt she pulled and drags her toward the secret room, vowing to keep her there for the rest of her life! Mel’s eyes widen in horror.
- At the town square, Abigail approaches sniffling Chad, who is standing alone. He tells her that Mel has gone and he knows not what to do about it. He updates her on the tiff, her sudden departure to Europe and lack of communication. She has disappeared! Abigail notes that sounds out of character. Chad confesses he unfairly blamed her for keeping him away from Stefano. Then he got that email she was en route to Europe. He mulls over going after her and apologizing in person. Girl in red Gabi shows up and announces that would be a bad idea! Mel would hate it …
- Abe discusses Lexie’s favorite flowers with John and Marlena. He gets choked up. John praises their love and is sure she crossed over the way she wanted to. Abe had no idea the time was so close. Marlena praises
her for her courage. Abe remarks she was not bitter despite what Stefano did. Marlena is baffled. Abe updates her on how the toxic gas caused her tumor. Marlena gasps. Abe explains she died because of Stefano. Her
own father cost her her life. He cannot fathom what must have been
going through her mind, yet she somehow found a way to forgive him. That was Lexie. John growls the bastard went to his grave knowing he was to blame. Abe seems to feel having to live with the knowledge would have been an even bigger punishment. Marlena suddenly receives a dramatic text message. Will is no longer a suspect and is out. They are all relieved. John asks how Carrie got him off. Marlena proceeds to tell him of Will’s gay alibi. Abe looks down, not sure what to say for a split
second. John just stands and stares. He then chuckles about journalists getting their facts wrong. Marlena solemnly states he IS gay. John finds out she already knew and wishes she had told him. It was not her place. John loves him just the same. Abe notes he and Lexie respected those who live their own truths. Marlena asks again if there is anything they
can do to help Abe. He remarks Chad has yet to be called. Marlena goes to do just that. John reminds his pal he does not have to be so strong. He can cry. He recalls how he was there for him once when he thought he lost doc. Abe remembers how little Theo insisted Lexie would always watch over them. And the lad said it with certainty. A tear trickles down John’s cheek as he agrees that children do have a gift. He wants Abe to remember he has friends and embraces him. Celeste and Cam enter. She is sorry. He has them too! Abe emotionally embraces his mother-in-law.
- Abigail wonders why Gabi thinks Mel would not appreciate seeing
Chad in Europe. She thinks it would be a good idea. Gabi suggests that would be like a stalker and implores him not to corner her. Abigail now wonders if that is how Mel is feeling. Maybe she does need breathing room. Chad shakes his head. He now gets a call. Marlena is standing in Lexie’s garden as she explains what has happened. Lexie died at home in the garden with Abe. This is the first Chad has heard of it. He cries that is how she would have wanted it and promises to be there soon. Abigail is sorry and embraces him. Gabi takes it all in, aware this could be her
golden opportunity ...
- Andy roughly shoves Mel back in the room and she wonders what he wants. He threatens her to be good cos he can be good but he can be bad too. She defiantly warns him that her boyfriend Chad is a DiMera and
her grandmother is married to big bad Victor Kiriakis. He admits he did not know that. She warns him if both families come after him, then he
will be a dead man ...!
