LINK ONLY! posted on July 10 early afternoon est TURNING POINT ... - At the pub, Lucas sighs. “Oh man!” Will is confident this time that EJ will not use his past actions to blackmail him. Lucas repeats he will stab him in the back. No, not this time. Things are really different now. Lucas sternly asks his son what he is not telling him! He continues to probe. Will flashes back to blackmailing EJ with the letter that revealed his big secret, that he was not really a DiMera! He now comes back to reality and advises papa Lucas to trust him. Lucas stares and doubts one can trust the likes of EJ DiMera so how can they be pals all of a sudden? Will notes he bailed him out of jail. Lucas argues he then blackmailed him again! They sit and discuss. Will boasts he has his job back with all the perks. Lucas is convinced that he could take it all away but Will drawls he has become a man EJ must respect. Lucas’ eyes are filed with suspicion. EJ must have an ulterior motive. Will remarks EJ is not who he thinks he is. Lucas doubts it. Will declares Stefano’s death changed him. He can relate, for Grace’s death changed him too. Lucas is dismayed that his son actually believes he understands EJ. That man cannot be trusted! Will wishes he would quit worrying. Ring ring! Will glances at his phone and announces he must go. Duty calls. Lucas snaps it must be about EJ. Will promises he can handle that one and departs. - Gabi approaches Chad at the town square. He stands alone, checking Mel’s facebook page on his phone. It has not been updated in ages, which is odd. Against Gabi’s wishes, he calls and leaves a frantic voice mail for Carly. He asks her to tell Mel to call him, then decides to get himself and Gabi a coffee. When he steps away, she immediately calls Andrew the loon. “Helloooooo” says Mel’s chipper captor. Gabi is still upset he has Mel locked away in his basement. Andrew points out he is helping her. She wants to know when he will release her. He stands up and watches the pretty prisoner from the peephole. He does not know. He advises Gabi to make Chad fall for her and they will both get what they want! - Marlena and John cuddle on their elegant couch and enjoy reading together. Marlena marvels this is like normal life. He grins it is sweet not having evil Stefano DiMera in the picture and holds her face, raising his eyes to the heavens in gratitude. - EJ enters Sami’s apartment with her and lectures her for acting like he was guilty in public, for he is the mayor! She admits she is stressed about her son’s situation. He insists he did not kill his fatha and he needs her to believe him! She quips that is fine. He keeps pleading his innocence and calls the test inaccurate. She should know how he feels about family and he would never kill his fatha. Sami sighs she knows when she looks into his eyes that he is now lying to her! He explains he would not have left evidence and he would not have done an amateur and ugly scene. Sami reminds him he went after Will and snaps what he is saying makes her believe he murdered Stefano even more! He is desperate to get through to her. If he had killed his fatha, why would he have been so sloppy? She suggests he might have been upset and acted on impulse. Perhaps he flew into a rage. She reminds him he was agitated about Nicole having Rafe’s baby. EJ claims they shall see about that. Sami tidies up the apartment and notes he must have snapped. EJ gets sarcastic. Perhaps she just wants him to go to prison for the rest of his life! Sami indignantly denies it. EJ stands up and angrily reminds her he has done a great deal for her. He was there for her when Rafe and Will turned their backs on her, and he let her keep her job. Now she wants to burn him at the stake! She exclaims he is not giving her a reason to believe him. He goes on to call her self-absorbed and accuses her of not even knowing the people she claims to love. Sami flings open the door and orders him to get out. EJ adds no wonder she will be alone for the rest of her life. Will stands in the doorway and chuckles he is right about that! - Pretty prisoner Mel sits glumly on her bed. Enter lovestruck Andrew, his face covered. He bears a tray with a sandwich and a nice glass of iced tea. He does not want her to think of him as her enemy. Why, they could even be friends!. Mel looks even more depressed, then decides to play the situation to her advantage. She reminds him they have the same taste in music. Maybe one day they can go to a concert together. Her captor laughs that will not happen cos she hates him. Mel assures him she does not … - Back at the town square, Gabi pretends she believes Mel is not missing and suggests Chad get over his obsession. She can help get his mind off things. He asks what she has in mind. “A surprise!” She leads him off by the hand, then proposes a picnic. She is most persistent and picks up the food at the pub, then asks for at least an hour of his time. He reluctantly agrees and they head off together. Gabi’s eyes are shining. - John seductively gives Marlena a foot massage and she muses they are lucky. John drawls he gives thanks on a daily basis and kisses the blonde. Marlena recalls how devastated Abe was to lose his Lexie. John murmurs it does make one stop and think. Marlena is grateful they are together. They emotionally exchange I love yous. John whispers she is his life. “Always have been and always will be.” She feels the same way. He continues kissing her on the couch. Ding dong! Tis Lucas, who is sorry for barging in, but he was at a loss. It is about Will, who is in trouble and cannot even see it! Marlena and John are all ears. Lucas informs them Will has changed drastically under EJ’s influence. He is in over his head and he cannot reach him! Marlena notes he is more like Sami every day. John laments the DiMeras only look out for their own, so he is out of luck. Lucas exclaims his son thinks it is a game in which he has the upper hand. John doubts that scenario will last. Marlena wonders how they can help. They sit and talk. Lucas asks Marlena to try and get through to his boy. She agrees to try. Lucas now has a big favor of John. It concerns reliving his history with the DiMeras, which might be tough, but he does not want to see his son get killed! He wants John to get involved ... - Chad and limping Gabi return to the pub. She is ashamed she hit a tree on her bike. He remarks she has peanut butter in her hair. Chad chuckles it was a big tree. She squeals and giggles that he should help her instead of poking fun. He puts a compress on her leg and teases she ruined their picnic and his sandwich. She assures him she wanted him to have a good time. Chad smiles and thanks her for that. - Mel wonders what her crazed captor likes to do in his free time. He shyly admits he likes to read, listen to music, and follows the stock market. Mel pretends to be interested. He offers to show her the stock reports sometime. Mel thanks him for the a song he put on her mix and would like to know the name. He starts to listen and tells her the name. She asks about the lyrics, then gingerly creeps toward the door. Andrew listens to the music in his earphone, not noticing. She smoothly slips out of the room. He suddenly jumps up. “Damn it!” - Sami is upset that Will is morphing into a mini-EJ. Will suggests Sami is lashing out as she cannot face the truth about herself. Sami snarls at EJ that he is as guilty as hell and that is the truth. EJ laments she has made that perfectly clear. Will finds it funny she is so preoccupied with judging him and he is so preoccupied with what she thinks! - Gabi hopes she and Chad can get more sandwiches. Chad now gets a call and stares at his phone. “Oh my God! It’s Melanie!” Read Part 2, with Chad's call, John' big plan, Mel's trouble, and Sami/EJ about to kiss ... |
