Episode 12,123 - Rafe is sleeping when Sami tiptoes into his room. The ex in pink wonders whether he can hear her. In Coma World, he sees dream Sami outside the coffee house. Back in the real world, Dr. Cam is explaining to Gabi and Kate that Rafe’s reality will be fuzzy for a while. Back in his room, Sami starts to talk about catching up, then scoffs he could not have been that desperate to run around with Kate. Maybe she drugged him or he was drunk when they carried on! Rafe sleeps on. Sami keeps talking, never one to be at a loss for words in any situation. She suggest he focus on happy memories. Kate does not deserve him. That affair almost got him killed! In Coma World, Rafe dreams of being in the blue bed with Kate. In the real world, Sami gushes about the drawings the kids are making that she wishes to give him. She brings up Johnny’s FBI jacket. That is when Rafe’s big eyes open. The world looks foggy but there is Sami in her hot pink dress. She gasps can he hear her? He slowly glances around. She marvels how wonderful it is that she can see his eyes and updates him on Arianna leaving the hospital. He will be able to meet her soon. Rafe stares. She gasps it is a good thing she had that gun. Rafe stammers NO as he remembers his dream that she shot him and his heart rate spikes. The commotion causes Dr. Cam, Gabi, and Kate to come running. Cam et al want her OUT! Sami thinks she should stay. Rafe watches her with dread. - Chad walks on into DiMera mansion as EJ loudly gives the orders to put the infamous portrait in the trash. He boasts to his brotha that he is the new king of the castle. Chad is flabbergasted. EJ sends the workers elsewhere and smugly updates Chad on his glorious coup. He practically handed fatha his head on a platter. Chad is disappointed he did not share that the phoenix was in town and wonders how he did it. EJ sarcastically asks if he wants a blueprint. He has told him of the last minute meeting. Chad is amused and assumes Stefano was furious. EJ remarks he was hot under the collar and helpless. He repeats he has WON. Chad suspects this was in motion for a long time. EJ does not deny it. nor does he deny that Stefano’s ordered attack on Bernardi that almost sent Samantha to prison made him more determined than ever to succeed. His fiancée, he adds, does not yet know about his victory. Chad cannot believe it has been going on without her knowledge for months! EJ insists the secrecy was key so as to minimize the risks. Chad marvels he defeated Stefano the great and powerful. EJ points out it was his slip that made it all happen, the fact that he lost sight of what was important when he learned of Kate and Rafe’s love affair. - Brady opens the Kiriakis front door, where Nicole is standing in a pretty dress, holding his mail. She is there for the donation. He has it for her. Brady checks the mail with a frown and she wonders what is the matter. She now reads the letter he has opened that rendered him speechless. It is from the adoption agency, which was ready to arrange a meeting for his and Kristen’s adoption process. Nicole wants to tear it up but he stops her. He wants to handle this in his own manner. He grabs her phone when she starts to call the agency to cancel the process and she says NO! She implores him not to even consider reconciling with she devil Kristen! Brady stares. He would not get back with her, says he. Nicole remains doubtful. He insists Kristen did have some caring in her. Even Jen said so. Nicole notes Jen sees good in everyone. Brady notes she did love him. Nicole snaps to stop believing the lies from her lips! Brady now realizes Nicole has been reminded of losing her own baby. He suggests she consider adoption and hugs her when she suggests she was not meant to be a parent. He thinks she would make a wonderful parent. She smiles so would he. - At the rectory, Father Eric has invited Maggie to the school opening dedication. The big event cometh! She lets it slip that she knows about his latest episode. He insists he is fine thanks to her son Dr. Daniel Jonas. Maggie gushes and wonders what she can do for the event. Eric smiles warmly and hopes she will do something for Nicole. Things were tense between Victor and Nicole recently and they will both be at the grand event. Maggie promises to make her Greek tycoon behave. Eric promises to keep an eye on Nicole, too. The redhead muses she will always be his first love. Eric mutters that was a long time ago. However, they do look out for each other and she even saved his life! Meanwhile, Kristen is raging at her idiot potion maker in the park. She senses his anxiety. He admits he could use a look at those lab results just to be sure. She makes a call to get up close and personal with Dr. Jonas today, then orders her potion man to shut up and wait for her call. She now storms off to get what she needs. - Dan is working on Eric’s case from home. He is on the phone about the report he faxed over. He believes he has found the key to the priest’s illness! He is closer to having proof that their patient was poisoned and wants more research done right away. He does some more math and waits. When he looks for another pen, he comes across an old note from Jen. It breaks his concentration for a moment. So does the knocking at his door. There stands Kristen, who smiles this cannot wait! She begs him to let her help him and Jen deal with their problems. Was the breakup due to Jack Jr.? Dan would rather not discuss and explains he has work to do. Kristen prettily sits down anyway and insists she wants to help Jen. This must have been misunderstanding between them. Dan peers at her. He accuses her of having an agenda and warns he knows what she is really up to ...! - At the nurse’s station, Gabi and Kate are royally miffed that Sami upset the patient. When Gabi learns she mentioned Arianna, she thinks he might have assumed she meant their deceased sister. Kate laments he was confused. Gabi and Kate conclude he believed he was dying, which was why Sami said he would soon be able to see Arianna. Gabi snaps this is just like when she snuck into her hospital room and wreaked havoc! Kate hisses she always does whatever she wants, against the wishes of others. Dr. Cam now gets Gabi to come to her brother’s room. Sami insists she meant no harm. Kate is hard on her and haughtily orders her to go. The doctor told her to and so did Gabi. Dr. Cam reappears and reminds Sami she agitates Rafe and may therefore not enter his room. Next time hospital security will call the police! - Back at the mansion, EJ gets the champagne ready. He proposes a toast to the portrait of his fatha, a heartless hollow bastard. He hopes he will never darken his door or hurt his loved ones ever again. Chad adds Amen and they clink their expensive glasses. EJ quips the old man will not be missed as the workers carry the heavy portrait away. He ought to send the old abacus to follow the painting. Chad agrees the décor has been ancient. EJ talks bonfire and informs his younger brother there will be changes. He wants to make this a real home with the family. Chad realizes he wants him to move in. EJ notes there is plenty of space. He can have his very own wing, Kristen anotha. The kids will be here too. Chad agrees to consider, then gets dizzy when he stands up. He assumes it was the champagne, hugs his brother, and goes on his way. The new portrait now arrives and EJ has the cover removed. He admires it with a chuckle and a twinkle. "Perfect!"
