Boss lady Kate is pleased with her performance but warns nothing gets by her! Sami steals a glance at a couple of family photos on her computer. When she sees a photo of Will and Rafe, she grimaces, and guiltily shuts the computer. Kate later assures her that being on the dark side will yield results. Sami Brady was always one to bend the rules. Sami corrects her that she is now Sami Hernandez. She wants to keep working until product is on the shelf before Mad World. Kate thinks she should take the rest of the night off to be with her kids. She is no slave driver like Madison. She adds she does not have to hide the pictures of her kids on the computer. She can look at them whenever she wants cos all this work has to be worth it! - Will finds Rafe cooking alone at the loft. He offers to help. Rafe has it covered. Sami is working late so he is busy preparing stir fry. Will quips it is better when she is not home! Rafe snaps at him not to be two-faced. Will agrees he should tell his mom how he feels. Rafe keeps cooking and wonders why on earth he is so angry. Will mentions Sami manipulating men and ruining lives. Rafe assures him he is in it for the long haul, but Will laments she will break his heart. Rafe bites and asks what he means by that. Will snaps when has she not done something? She is only out for herself! Rafe seems more interested in his stir fry. He drawls he is ready to take the good with the bad, but as far as he is concerned, it is all good with his wife. All of a sudden, Sami enters. Much to Will's chagrin, Rafe warmly hugs her. Sami just loves that he made stir fry. He assures her it is no big deal. They kiss and she asks about his day. Rafe explains they cracked their first case and hisses like a cat. She now asks Will about his day. He frowns it was fine. Sami thinks they can play a game after dinner as the kids are with grandma. Will glowers and suddenly decides to takes his leave. He walks out of the loft visibly upset ... - Marlena is back at the condo and asks if John has heard from Will. He kisses his wife and replies no. She noticed Brady's car earlier. He admits he made him an intriguing proposition and updates her on Brady agreeing to talk to his lady first. Marlena is sure Brady will make the right choice. She now sees John is working on the household budget. They have $150 for a cable sports package. Marlena thinks that is steep. John roguishly drawls can she think of another way to keep him entertained? Marlena smiles, coyly crosses it out, and they kiss passionately. - Brady meets Madison at the pub. She would rather not talk about work. He announces there is something they must discuss and tells her of his proposal to join forces with John at Basic Black. She does not appear thrilled that he never told her he wanted to leave Titan to work with his da. Brady excitedly adds it was just an idea, but lately he cannot think of anything else. Madison laments she will end up running things alone and wants him to go! Brady explains nothing is final. He asks her to hear him out. Madison states he is the reason she came to Salem and now he is leaving her high and dry! He disagrees. She wonders what is in it for John. Brady points out he is broke, as he put all his assets into repaying those who were cheated. Madison points out he could consult for tons of money. Brady argues that she too would rebuild her company if this happened to her. She gets it, though she does not comprehend why it is so important to him. He patiently states his da needs his help. She thinks John could do it on his own so what is in it for him? She demands his honesty. Brady shares that his relationship with his father was always complicated. He reached out to him, at her suggestion. She deduces he really wants to rebuild his relationship with his father. But he does not need her permission! Brady now informs her that if it comes between them, he will not risk it. She admits she is glad things are better for him and John, yet how can this not come between them? Of course, it will put a strain and affect her company. However, she believes in family first, so she is behind him! Brady is touched. - At the mansion, raging EJ wants answers now! He angrily slams down the phone. Stefano enters and EJ complains he is down twenty points in the race for mayor. How did John Black become the hero when he was supposed to be the hero! Stefano suggests he calm down. EJ wants to know how he weaseled his way out of jail. Stefano pours himself a drink and quietly says it will all come out. EJ wonders if he blames him, but Stefano declares HE is the one who has failed his son! EJ stares. He is confused. The phoenix uncomfortably clears his throat and remarks he should have taught him better and given him insight. EJ wonders what else he could have taught him. He is sorry if he sounds like he is taking out his frustration on him, for his papa has always been in his corner and for that he is grateful. Stefano's eyes are filled with guilt as he thanks him for that ... - Back at the condo, Marlena wonders when Brady will decide. John remarks he is in no hurry. She likes the idea. So does he, but he would rather not get his hopes up. Marlena kisses him it will be just fine and goes to see about supper. - EJ complains to fatha that he is losing. Stefano urges him not to quit, for DiMeras never quit! EJ thinks he needs another plan. All of a sudden, Kate waltzes in wearing a fur coat and a smile.
