Black belt Quinn is training Gabi and tells her good work, Mel is next up to kick the bag. Abigail is a no show. Mel punches the bag with her hot pink gloves. Quinn wants more effort. Mel gets into it. Chad happens by and she kicks him in the head with a roundhouse kick. Chadman goes down! Chad comes to and claims he is fine. Quinn thinks he will be alright. Mel stammers she is sorry. Gabi offers the still dazed Chad a glass of water. - Brady visits John at the condo, cos he has been hearing stuff in town. John acknowledges there are financial woes as he pays everyone back but he is also gonna build Basic Black from the ground up! Brady wants to help him on the home front. Papa John, however, has called him over for another reason, not handouts! He wants to pick his brain about the idea of rebuilding the company. Brady is all for it and declares he can be the guy he needs. HIS PARTNER! John wonders how exactly he thinks that would work. Brady proposes they put their heads together and do it as a team. John reminds him his plate is already full with running Titan. He suspects he is making an impulsive decision. Brady explains he has been thinking about it for a long time. He is proud of what he did at Titan, though the idea of hitting the ground running with him and building something of their own is a chance he does not want to miss. John is overwhelmed. Brady urges him to just say yes! And he is ready! John drawls even having this conversation means much to him. He sure needs a partner like him, but he is the last thing his son needs. Therefore, his answer is no! Brady’s face falls. He then proceeds to argue his case ... - At the house, Jack excitedly shows Jen Hawaiian travel brochures. So many activities, so little time! Jen thanks him for the thought. And she means the separate bedrooms. He stammers he wanted her to know he was making no assumptions. Jen sighs it will take time. Jack accepts that, though he does wish she could meet him halfway. He is referring to HIM - Daniel. Jen looks down, then insists Dan is a nonissue. They will enjoy Hawaii as a family. Jack complains they will then go to their separate rooms. He still wants her back, but they have a long way to go. Jen claims she feels the same way. Jack disagrees and calls her out on her feelings for Daniel, which concern him. Jen would rather not discuss. Jack presses to know if they even have a future. Is there anything here at all? Jen gasps they agreed to take it day by day. Jack exclaims he is trying to make himself a better man and is also getting therapy. But there is no him without her! Jen wonders if he just wanted her to suggest they not have separate bedrooms. He admits he did! He was hoping she would take a leap of faith. All of a sudden, the trip does not seem so fun. He puts on his jacket and decides to go interview John. Jen suggests he also see Marlena for closure. Jack thinks she means he needs to be better by himself so he would not need her! He assures her he will go easy on her, though some things are easier said than done. Exit Jack. Jen sighs. Jack pauses outside the door, then walks away. Jen soon heads out as well, unaware that on this day she is going to run into HIM ... - Dan is pacing in the office. Maggie enters with a smile, announcing she wants to be with him when he gets his test results. Dan thinks that is nice. He has not heard yet ... Dr. Lexie now comes in. She suggests they sit down. Dan is reluctant and realizes something is not good. Lexie tells him the test results about what ails him. It is an "intention tremor," which could be caused by many things. Maggie quips he is the picture of health. Lexie explains he must have suffered a minor stroke. Dan is devastated. Lexie warns them those kinds of tremors are hard to treat. The condition is not reversible! Some drugs have helped, though only temporarily. Dan solemnly asks if she means his days as a surgeon are over ... - At the gym, Mel assures Chad she would never hurt him on purpose. Dazed Chad grins he would never give her a reason to. Gabi offers him aspirin. Quinn comes back and jokes he hopes there will be no lawsuit. Chad stands up, then loses his balance. Quinn points out Abigail signed up for a class so perhaps she will be able to drive him. Chad explains he and Abigail are through. Gabi is intrigued. She soon invites Chad to get something to eat with her. Chad suggests they all go. Quinn, however, wants Gabi to come with him first, so he can show her how things should be done when he is not around! They leave Chad and Mel alone. Cute music is heard. The pair make light of the incident and she teases him about being knocked out. Chad informs her he only came by to see her and keeps icing his head. Mel gazes at him ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
