| DAYS OF OUR LIVES SUMMARY Part 2 Thursday, January 5, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! HIT AND MISS - Part 2 - John will not accept Brady's offer, for he is thinking with emotions. They are interrupted by the arrival of Jack. Brady tells Jack he was just interrupting what they do best. Being stubborn! John later explains to Jack his plan to rebuild Basic Black with the same core values he intends to rebuild his life. Jack warns him he will be broke, with no one to support him. 'Not necessarily," notes John and glances at his son. - Maggie assures Dan that he still has the mind, heart, and the intellect of a doctor. Lexie starts to say something, but Dan stops her. Lexie realizes he is in shock. Dan snaps being in the OR is who he is! He refuses to hear anything more and storms out. Maggie sadly shakes her head. Lexie points out it will take Dan a long time to make peace with the diagnosis. Maggie cries she now feels that she was intruding. Lexie reminds her he is her son. Maggie sighs only in his mind for a little while, but being a surgeon was a dream he shared with another mother. Lexie replies she will now be the mother who helps him with a new dream. She knows it is hard to see a child in pain. She praises the redhead for her strength. Maggie thinks she herself is very strong too, given how she has raised Theo. Lexie smiles he is special, even if he does require much from his parents. She gushes he has a beautiful soul and adds Daniel also has a wonderful soul. Maggie worries her son needs someone else to get him through this. Lexie encourages her just to be there for him. She is an expert at being a good mom already. They embrace and Maggie departs. Lexie opens Dan's file, then throws it down and curses. - At the pub, Gabi helps the still groggy Chad sit down. She and Mel go to get drinks. Quinn takes a seat and drawls lunch is on him. He is impressed little Mel packs quite a punch and is surprised a girl like her is single! Meanwhile, Gabi talks to Mel about Chad. She wonders if Mel thinks Abigail would mind if she asked him out. Mel almost chokes, but claims she does not know. As the gang later eat, Quinn offers to help talented Mel on her technique. Gabi flirts with Chad and eats one of his fries. Mel notices and coyly agrees to take up Quinn on his offer. Chad frowns. - Back at the condo, John requests Jack point out in his article that his wife was his bright light in all this. Brady teases it sounds like a romantic advice column. Jack listens as John points out one should never take a good woman for granted. Jack immediately remembers Jen. - Dan is alone at the town square, his eyes filled with upset and sorrow. Jen bumps into him. They are sorry. Their eyes lock. He tries to excuse himself and wishes her a happy new year. Jen immediately senses something is troubling the medicine man and wants to be there for him. He murmurs he is having one of those days. Jen wants him to sit on a bench and tell her about it. Dan quietly sits next to her. - At the condo, John's words have reminded Brady of Madison. He hopes one day they can have what John and Marlena have. John calls that another reason he should remain at Titan. Brady argues he wants to pursue a dream with his da. John announces he has a requirement. First he must discuss this with Madison, and then consider what she says. After that, if he decided to come on board and be his Basic Black partner, he would be the happiest S.O.B. on the planet! Father and son chuckle and hug the way cool guys do. - At the town square, Jen is shocked to learn that Dan had a small stroke and none of the medicine will permanently stop his tremors. She gasps how could this be happening. Dan tries to make light if it but Jen knows all he ever wanted to be was a surgeon. He does not deserve this. She is so sorry and apologizes for hurting him. Dan disagrees. "You saved me!" he blurts out. They emotionally embrace. Jack happens by and stares darkly at the pair ... Next on Days of Our Lives Marlena informs Will that his mother knows secrets have a way of coming out! At the pub, Brady announces to his girl Madison that there is something they have to talk about. She waits. "What is it that she's gonna do that's gonna break my heart!" Rafe sarcastically asks Will. |
