THIS EPISODE WAS TWEETED ONE HOUR AHEAD BY DAYSCAFE :) GONE IN 60 SECONDS! - Sami is pretty in pink at her desk working and flashes back to Rafe kissing her. Enter boss EJ. She stares. He wishes her a good morning and teases she is glowing. She is almost ready for the meeting and thanks him after he asks about Ally. Her fever broke. EJ perches on her desk, shuts her computer, and muses she looks like she has been thinking about HIM. He confidently grins as it so happens, he has been obsessing over her since last night! Sami would rather talk business and shows him the new layout on her computer. EJ nuzzles her neck and she is unable to resist his seduction routine. They kiss slightly … until her desk phone rings. “Yes!” barks EJ as he answers. Tis Father Eric the brother, waiting to be let in! He soon appears with bad news. Father Tobias found out that Brady and John were admitted to hospital following a brawl. It was connected to Kristen. Sami glances at EJ and snaps that is his sister! EJ frowns. - Nicole joins grinning Rafe at the coffee house and notices his devilish smile. He drawls the year is off to a kick ass start! She wants to hear all about his plans. He casually explains it is his day off and he is helping Gabi with wedding details about the band, the food. But Nicole presses him to tell her his innermost thoughts. She reminds him she kept EJ at bay so he could kiss his Sami. What has happened since last night? He says nothing. Nicole cannot believe he did not see Sami after the kiss. She worries she will have changed her mind yet again. Rafe confidently doubts it, feeling very much the winner in this game. Nicole warns him EJ wanted to be with Sami and she left with him! Rafe is not fussed, as he is convinced there is no more conflicted Sami. Nicole offers up some friendly advice. Guys like to play it cool. However, women wish to be pursued. Rafe humors her by pretending to listen. She continues being candid. Romance is a strategy. Rafe seems downright bored. Nicole repeats to make a move. He gets it and thanks her. She sighs he will not take her good advice. He shares his view that Sami should be the one to contact him, at the very least to discuss Gabi’s wedding. Besides, their relationship is unique. The usual rules do not apply here. Of that he is certain ... - At the hospital, shirtless, battered Brady is being examined by Dr. Cam. He winces and flashes back to coming to blows with his beloved father. John is in another room, also remembering as Dr. Kayla examines him. He has suffered bruised ribs. They are not cracked, as he had suspected. Kayla demands to know what would possess him to brawl with his own son. John has no answer. He only wants to see his wife and his son. Meanwhile, Brady refuses to discuss the fight. The men have not been cooperative with the police either. - Marlena is at the nurse’s station and is relieved when Maxine informs her the men folk are banged up but alright. She sighs and Kristen the harlot comes after her. She leers it is such a shame it came to this! Marlena glares at her. “You set all this motion!” And she knows she is happy about it too. Kayla announces that John wishes to see Marlena. The chief of staff now demands to know what Kristen is doing there! She will not answer and haughtily excuses herself. Marlena quietly enters John’s room and holds the hand of her dearest love. “Doc,” he murmurs unhappily. Meanwhile, Cam places a patch on Brady’s side and promises to be back soon. Long faced Kristen appears and woefully states she did a bad thing! Brady falls for her pity party routine and gallantly disagrees. Kristen claims she cannot live with herself for coming between him and his dad. She tried to fight her feelings but wanted him. He wanted her too and still does. She suddenly declares they should do the right thing and end this! Meanwhile, John laments to Marlena he was a fool not to listen to her and to trust evil Kristen. She cries. He assures her he is fine as long as he has her and they snuggle on his bed together like a guy and his girl. - Nicole admits to Rafe she does not know all. She has not had the best of luck in love and wonders if she should be more like him. He tries to make her feel better, and praises her for her beauty and humor. He is certain she will find her Mr. Right. She thanks him for lifting her spirits time and time again. He was a great New Year distraction. He teases he does not think he was the only one. Nicole insists she had and has no agenda whatsoever with EJ. - Sami warns clueless EJ that he had better not be protecting his sister. He promises her he knows nothing about this matter. Sami storms off to get to the bottom of the fight. EJ grimaces and follows her out of the room. - Brady does not want it to be over with Kristen. He moves in his bed too fast and gets a sharp pain. Kristen calms him and tries to put the patch back. It works, but like everything else she touches, only temporarily … - John continues to apologize to doc for not believing her. She is filled with guilt and informs him there is something she simply must tell him! Before she can proceed, Sami bursts in with Father Eric and shrieks she wants to know what happened. John drawls things got out of hand with Brady. Sami wants to know why. John laments Brady and Kristen are having an affair and he saw it firsthand. He suspects it is a scheme set up by Kristen to exact revenge on them. Sami cannot believe it. Where is her gullible nitwit brother now! - Cam returns to attend to Brady. Nicole decides she should leave as he needs his rest. He thanks her. She whispers to take care of himself. That is the thanks she needs, no more. Exit Kristen, playing the role of the demure love interest to perfection. At the nurse’s station, EJ is unable to get answers from nurse Maxine, even though he reminds her his family built this hospital. Kristen emerges and he demands to know what is going on. Kristen mutters John discovered she and Brady are having an affair. EJ blinks in stunned silence. - Nicole explains to Rafe - who is now listening - that she has no agenda, is off men, and is hopelessly devoted to her career. Rafe is glad to hear it as she adds how appreciated she feels in her work at the church. He slyly wonders if she feels … appreciated by the boss. She admits he may have been trying too hard. Rafe presses her to elaborate. She does. Eric invited her to help volunteer at a shelter New Year’s Eve, which was not her cup of tea. Rafe sarcastically states of course, that night is for getting bombed. She quips she did not get bombed, then sighs she was not very nice to Eric. She accused him of trying to make her a mini-him and she is not that. But she should not have been such a bitch. Rafe has a very simple solution. “Apologize.” She decides she will indeed. She wishes him all the happiness he deserves, puts on her coat, and leaves with a big smile on her face. - Sami is stunned to learn that Brady and Kristen have been together more than one tawdry time. Marlena stops her from going to confront Brady. Eric insists on going ahead to confer with their illustrious brother, but Sami is out of control and storms after him. He pulls her away at the nurse’s station and orders her not to move. She growls. Eric goes to see Brady. Sami asks Dr. Kayla about the injuries, then wonders if she has seen EJ anywhere. Kayla informs her he is presently in the waiting area with his sister though she has no idea why! - Patient Brady has a visitor. Tis Father Eric, who gives him a stern look. “What are you doing?” He cannot conceal his disgust that he became intimate with his father’s ex whatever. Brady gets sarcastic about the ten commandments. Eric is very upset about what this situation is doing to his father and mother. Brady refuses to talk to either him or Sami about what was his choice and coldly kicks him out. Dr. Cam returns and agrees Brady needs his rest. Patient Brady sneers to go do some good deeds for someone else! - In the waiting area, EJ remarks Kristen must have meant she was in bed with Brady literally when she made that comment to him. She makes light of it. He rages about the disasta she has caused with this indiscretion. She does not deny it. EJ wants to know how she will explain this one. Since when does she need to explain herself to him?! He is sure there is more to this than meets the eye and bitterly reminds her it could cause problems in his relationship with Samantha. She retorts it is a bump in the road he should get over. Enter hurricane Sami, ready to do battle with the she devil. She rages she put John and Brady in the hospital and was despicable to sleep with John’s son. Kristen insists she has no evil scheme. Sami accuses her of wanting to torture her parents with this but Kristen plays innocent. Sami accuses her of lying and moves in for the kill. EJ grabs her and drags her out of the room before she can attack. Sami storms off. He catches up with her and wants to go somewhere to talk. She snaps she will talk to Brady and calls Kristen EJ’s slutty sister. Eric appears and informs her Brady is resting. Sami now turns her wrath on EJ. She cannot stand the sight of him now, given what his sister did, and orders Eric to come with her. EJ is left standing alone, believing Kristen just cost him what he almost had ...
