John understands, now asks what she was about to say … She is about to start over until Dr. Kayla arrives with another interruption. There are more tests to run. John and Marlena exchange I love yous, a kiss, and he murmurs he will see her soon. Exit Marlena. Eric takes Sami back to the church and advises his raging sister to stay out of it and calm down. She exclaims the nightmare is just beginning, refuses to be calm, and leaves in a huff. EJ slams down his phone and angrily thanks unanswering Kristen for nothing! Elsewhere, Kristen receives a text from Stefano, asking how things are going. She smugly texts back daddy that things are well and this shall no doubt be the best year of her life! Nicole rushes into the church and babbles her apology to solemn, silent Father Eric. She does it twice in fact. Eric stares ahead. He has not heard a thing! She explains she just apologized. He sighs to forget about it. She worriedly wonders what is the matter. Was there a death? Have his nightmares returned? The priest’s eyes flicker as she implores him to take her into his confidence. Alas he does not. She reminds him that he opened up to her about the Congo but the flustered father whispers he is not able to discuss this and walks away. At the town square, Sami angrily throws trash in the garbage, talking to herself. Rafe emerges and watches with a hopeful grin. EJ runs into Marlena at the nurse’s station and asks after John. She warns him that Kristen is a dangerous sociopath who will hurt him too! Brady hears a noise and turns in his bed. “Kristen?” In his room, John leans back with a sigh, as Kayla has finished. Kristen walks in and he tells her to get out for they are done! Crazy Kristen begs to differ and purrs they are just beginning! John’s eyes are filled with loathing.
