Episode 12,002 - Johnny is rowdy on papa EJ’s shoulders at the town square following his first monster truck show. EJ reminds the lad mommy is still at a wedding … - In the church dressing room, Sami insists Gabi looked up the abortion info and therefore was calling the shots, not her son Will. Rafe insists his innocent sister would not have even thought of terminating the pregnancy had Will not said he wanted nothing to do with the baby. Gabi is in tears. She begs them to stop but of course they do not. Rafe angrily reasons Will never told them the truth cos he did not and does not want the baby! Sami snaps Gabi lied and forced Will to keep the paternity a secret. She accuses her of trying to steal her son’s child. Rafe pulls her back and exclaims this is not about her. Sami thinks it is, since that is her own son’s child. She claims Gabi did not give Will a choice. Gabi laments she did tell Will from the start and he let his mother assume it was Nick’s too. Matter of fact, he said not to tell anyone about the baby until they figured things out. Sami sticks out her chin. Did Will actually ask her to get an abortion? Gabi admits he did not but cries he did not seem to want the baby, which was why she thought of it. He feared the baby would ruin his relationship with Sonny and she was in no position to raise the baby on her own. Rafe pipes in that Will agreed and he wanted the baby out of the way. - At the hospital, Marlena leaves a message for John, to discuss this nonsense about Kristen. Meanwhile, Abigail confronts Dr. Cameron for hiding that Nick was not the father of Gabi’s baby. Marlena joins them and is shocked to hear about the wedding fiasco. Cam explains Chad overheard a private conversation and what he knows is protected by doctor-patient confidentiality. Marlena agrees and blames Chad for his unethical, illegal actions. She adds the couple said nothing about Nick not being the biological father in Precana. Abigail now informs her that the baby’s father is her grandson son Will! Marlena pauses. Abigail tells her the whole sordid story. Marlena hastily excuses herself. Abigail now apologizes to Cameron for blaming him and departs. He decides to go after her … - Outside in the dark park, Will admits to Lucas he has been having nightmares about being unable to get near his son. Lucas understands and assures him it is good this came out. Now the agreement he made with Gabi and Nick does not apply. He feels he could not turn his back on his kid. Will now agrees. Lucas goes on to say he can be there from the start for his child now. Nick ominously listens, carefully concealed. Will questions whether he would be a good role model. He complains about being shipped off to Switzerland. Lucas snaps that he should stop feeling sorry for himself, given all the sacrifices they made. “Man, I went to prison for you!” Nick is all ears. Will sighs he is sorry. Lucas only did his best. Lucas wishes Will had confided in him about getting Gabi pregnant. Will remarks he did not want him to have to let go of his hope that he might be straight. Lucas reminds him he has been going religiously to PFLAG meetings so he has moved on. They hug. Father and son are good again. Will remains determined to get to Sonny. Lucas says it will be alright. They go their separate ways. Nick emerges from the dark shadows. - Chad arrives at the coffee house and explains to angry Sonny that he did not know Will was the father. He would not have said anything had he known! Sonny accuses him of ruining lives. “The truth is out and there’s no going back!” He brushes past him. Chad goes after him and insists the last thing he wanted was to hurt Will or his friend and business partner. He tells him what he overheard. Sonny realizes that Chad did not know Will was the father. Chad reasons he could not have known Will was the father. Just then EJ enters with Johnny and blinks. “Wot did you just say???” He politely asks Sonny to make Johnny a nice hot chocolate. Sonny graciously offers to let Johnny make it himself. They scamper off together. EJ now wants answers from Chad, who boasts he interrupted Gabi’s wedding with the announcement that Nick was not the father of her baby. EJ sighs, then realizes it came out later that William was the fatha. Indeed. EJ’s first concern is for Samantha, who must be terribly upset. Chad muses she went ballistic. He is smug about Gabi getting her comeuppance, though he feels badly for the others and badly for the fact that Abigail is mad at him. EJ sarcastically reminds him he did ruin the lives of her friends. Chad decides to go. EJ ponders. Will soon enters, greeting excited Johnny and pleasant EJ. EJ admits he heard he had a bad day and assures him he is here for him if there is anything at all that he needs. Woeful Will is grateful. EJ gives him a hearty hug and assures him these things do work themselves out. Exit EJ and Johnny. Will stands alone and stares. Sonny spies him from behind the counter, though he says nothing. - Sami and Rafe are still at it. Sami accuses Gabi of manipulating her son. Rafe doubts that. Sami rages she wanted to pass the baby off as Nick’s. Gabi calls that Nick’s idea. Sami accuses them of wanting to steal the baby from her son. Gabi insists Will was on board with the idea. Rafe snaps Will wanted to get rid of her and the baby and keep Sonny. Sami calls Gabi a little bitch and rages she will not keep that baby from her or her son! Rafe impatiently kicks her out. Father Eric arrives at the door and wonders what is going on in his tranquil church. Gabi hugs Rafe in tears. Rafe comforts her. The woeful almost bride now apologizes to Father Eric for the fiasco. Nick appears, declaring it is his fault. She collapses in the almost groom’s arms. Moments later, she insists it is not his fault. He was helping her do the best thing for the baby. Eric says nothing. Rafe remarks their idea was not the best thing to do. Gabi reminds him he did the same for Nicole. Rafe realizes he set a bad example, even though he tried to do the right thing by protecting a baby. However, a lie like that … pretending to be the father of someone else’s child … he now knows it is not right. Gabi hugs him and cries. Eric suggests they give the couple a moment alone. Rafe wants her to check with him before she leaves and exits with the priest. Gabi is sorry that everything was ruined but Nick begs to differ. There is no way Chad can hurt them for their love is strong. He cries with her. - Abigail is approached by Chad at the park and blasts him for using her. He insists he did not have his announcement planned. She flies at him for not using restraint. She starts to leave but Chad grabs her arm. She snaps to let her go. Cam shows up and growls to listen and let her go! Chad thinks it is not his concern. Cameron all but threatens him to let her go. He does. Cameron proceeds to blast him for repeating his doctor-patient conversation. Chad drawls Gabi needed to be exposed. Abigail cannot believe he still does not regret hurting people but Chad claims he is very bothered he hurt Will and Abigail. He leaves and Abigail calls him a jerk. Cam agrees with her assessment. Abigail now wonders whether the good doctor’s shift is over. He explains he just had to find her. - At the coffee house, Will uncertainly approaches the counter and whispers he wants to explain some things. Sonny calls his words all lies and suggests he explain to someone who can actually help him! He steps away. Marlena enters and asks if he is alright. Will laments not really. Ring ring! Sami calling! Will takes the call, aware she will not stop until he picks up. Sami informs her son she has the kids with the sitter and wants to meet to talk. Will would rather not discuss anything tonight. He is with grandma Marlena and feels emotionally wiped out. Sami agrees to wait until tomorrow. They exchange I love yous and then end the call. Grandma-to-be Sami sniffles and enters her apartment, turning on the lights, but soon realizes she is not alone. A certain someone is seated inside, waiting for her with a grin. “EJ!” she gasps ...
