| Tuesday, January 1, 2013 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! IN WITH A BANG! - At Brady’s office, Marlena demands to know what is going on. She wonders if John is there. Brady sighs not now. She explains she heard he was upset. Brady is not surprised. - Meanwhile John demands to know what is going on between Kristen and Brady. Does she have feelings for his son? She gives him an eerie smile. “You’re such an idiot!” She goes on to say there are many things she feels about him. John explains his son cares about her and he does not play games. He adds he is still not over Madison and believes what they have is real. He suggests she might be using a sick way to get HIM back. She hisses he has a big ego and notes this is all about what he did to her! Se alludes to her love never dying and bitterly reminds him how he left her. John cannot believe evil Kristen is baaacak. This is not the woman he once loved! She does not deny it. He gasps Marlena was right. This was all nothing but a set up! Even the girl who fell off her bike. She leers it was a great idea. He sighs all those coincidences were arranged to get to Brady. She quips that just worked out in her favor. He wonders if she really hates him that much. Kristen gives him a cold look. “Yes!” How she tried to make him happy! She rages that he dropped her hand in the middle of their wedding vows when Marlena walked in all those years past. John whispers he does not remember it like that. She points out how she begged him to stay. He reminds her what terrible things she did to Marlena and Susan. “For you!” she exclaims, adding it was out of love. Kristen pities herself, for he did not mean it when he said he loved her, only to toss her aside like trash and go back to Marlena. John is utterly flabbergasted. He cannot believe she has been hanging onto this. She warns she will not stay away from Brady. He implores her not to break his son’s heart. She snaps she will break John’s heart by making him turn his back on his father. She taunts him about not even having a great relationship with him. The pressure is mounting on the former pawn and he appears ready to blow. He calls her a bitch. Kristen keeps going. She taunts that his son, the young buck, is even falling in love with her. John grabs the wicked witch by the shoulders, thundering to stay the hell away from his son. She cackles in delight. - Sami calls Rafe from the pub, explaining Gabi found the wedding dress of her dreams but alas it was slightly above the budget. Rafe impatiently replies to let her get it. Anything else? Sami wishes him a happy new year. Rafe grumbles and ends the call.He now enters the church and asks Nicole if she is ready for their date. She gushes she is. His phone soon rings and he happily shows her Gabi’s wedding dress. Nicole admires the creation, then angrily wonders why Sami is texting him. He airily states Gabi needed help with her wedding, that is all. Nicole reminds him he claimed he no longer wanted his ex in his life. He insists he does not. - At the hospital, Dan and Father Eric discuss a spot for a patient who needs a place to stay. He praises the doc for working tonight and notes he must have had somewhere else to be. Dan grins. - Abigail is at Horton house, assuring Jen she wants to be home with her. Meanwhile, Chad flashes back to his recent chat with Abigail about their lack of New Year’s Eve plans. He gets an idea. - Johnny races up to Sami at the pub, pumped about Caroline’s new games. She thinks he sounds like the luckiest man in Salem. Tuxedo EJ saunters in and drawls HE is the luckiest. - Brady admits to Marlena that he has been romantically involved with Kristen. She stares. He assures her it has nothing to do with her and was not to hurt her. He suddenly realizes she does not look surprised. She claims she is being silent as he seemed to want. However, upon learning that John walked in on them in a compromising position, she gasps in horror. “Where is he?” Brady last saw him at the park. She is desperate to find him. Brady is so sorry he upset her. He hopes she and John will come to accept that Kristen is the woman in his life. Marlena snaps he must have lost his mind! They shall never accept it! - Outside the pub, EJ and fancy Sami happily discuss Johnny. He then leans in and starts to kiss her on the lips. She returns his kiss. Johnny watches excitedly through the window and tells Caroline what he saw. Caroline remarks it is New Year’s Eve. Sami whispers to EJ they are by the window. He grins he was hoping they could go somewhere and elegantly whisks her away. Johnny peers after them, happy as a clam. - Someone is knocking on the door of Horton house. Abigail opens the door to Chad, who bears a surprise coffee delivery. Jen invites him to join their game of monopoly. The young man accepts and enters the cozy house. Abigail teases she will beat them both! - EJ and Sami walk arm in arm through the festive town square and sit at their party table. She is surprised to discover he is even interested in fireworks, having assumed he wanted something more private. All in good time! Rafe and Nicole arrive, still discussing Sami helping him with the wedding. Nicole thinks she could replace her, then spies Rafe woefully staring at Sami. She is amused he still has it bad for his ex ... - At the hospital, Eric shakes Dan’s hand, thanking him for his assistance with the man in need. He adds they have a friend in common - one Nicole Walker. Dan wonders how her work at the church is going. Well. Dan is sorry she had such a tough time but Eric assures him it was not his fault. She has accepted that his heart is elsewhere. Dan thanks him. With a twinkle and a grin, Father Eric takes his leave. - Chad proves to be an excellent monopoly player. The mood is light. Jen goes into the kitchen to make more popcorn. Abigail rolls the dice. Chad hopes it is alright he is there She smiles she is glad he came by. He stares at her and grins, feeling the attraction. - Rafe insists he is not at all affected by Sami. Besides, they will forget about EJ and Sami tonight! Meanwhile, EJ inform Samantha he has a bottle of champagne he has waiting at the coffee house and kisses her before departing to fetch it She sits alone with her flower as midnight gets closer and closer. All of a sudden, she notices Rafe with Nicole and frowns. He turns away sheepishly. Nicole orders him to go to the woman who has his heart. She excuses herself to run an errand and disappears into the crowd. Rafe grins at Sami like a schoolboy. - Marlena suggests Brady consider why Kristen chose him of all people. He insists he chose her. Marlena thinks he should question that. She only wishes she were a changed woman but that is simply not true! She now races off to locate John and avert a disaster. - John tightens his grip on Kristen’s arms. He rages she is a savage, twisted, manipulative bitch, and he will not let her use his son! Hotel security knocks on the door. John releases her and she opens the door. The guard explains he heard shouting and asks if she is alright. She acts frightened and stammers her guest was just leaving. “You will not hurt my son, I’ll see to that!” growls John as he storms out. The security guard suggests she put him on the watch list for future reference. Once alone, Kristen laughs like a loon and gets a call from Brady. - Meanwhile, Abigail is surprised to get a text from Jen She is not in the kitchen, after all ...
