Episode 12,030 - Father Eric is at the rectory, flashing back to the attack, almost losing Nicole to the assailant. It troubles him deeply. Nicole the secretary enters in a black dress, still wearing her necklace. She knows he was sleepless last night. He was with a parishioner, she assumes. She wonders why he is staring. He suddenly grabs her in an emotional embrace. For a split second it feels right, then it feels too close for comfort. He breathes he is sorry. He was just hit by the danger she was in. She points out he himself was hit in the head. He jokes it is a hard head. Marlena arrives and suspiciously stares. She hopes she is not interrupting … she had heard what happened from Roman. Eric updates her. She cannot believe Nicole refused to give the gunman her jewelry, how Eric stopped him. She is sympathetic. Nicole gasps if anything happened to Eric ….She suddenly excuses herself. Eric notes Sami called him and Marlena updates him on Gabi’s premature labor that was brought under control. She complains about Brady and Sami’s present relationships. She now wonders whether he is well. Eric assures her he is. She had almost thought he was the one son she did not need to worry about. He says that is correct. But she wonders. He insists he is fine and asks if she has heard from John. Negative. Eric the optimist notes his silence might mean he is headed home. He decides to check on Gabi at the hospital. He will try talking to Sami soon, but cannot make any promises about Brady. Marlena urges him to stay safe. Nicole enters with glasses on a tray in case they are thirsty … Eric gets a call from Father Matt and steps out. Nicole tells Marlena to rest assured, nothing will happen between Eric and her … Marlena quips she knows cos she knows the kind of priest and man her son is! She gives her a warning look and waltzes out. Nicole is perturbed. - Replay of Sonny staring at Will, after reading the note. Will states he was not supposed to see it. “Too late!” announces Sonny. Will is rather embarrassed. Sonny asks if he assumed he wanted to start over. Will admits it, then sighs he realizes he was wrong. Sonny is with Brian now. Sonny is sorry about the gift mix-up. However, the thing with him and Brian is not even in the same league as THEM! - EJ wonders WOT Kate and Rafe are all about! Rafe recalls their love fest, then plays innocent. EJ has himself known Kate and thinks it is pretty obvious what is happening! He refers to them as a frog and a scorpion and grins she was married to his fatha for a long time. Rafe gets himself coffee. EJ advises him not to have clouded judgment when it comes to his sista and William. Rafe blames Sami for what happened and reminds him she even shot him once. What a prize! EJ blinks. - Cowboy Nick tells Sami it is over. Sami suggests he is tired and now is not a good time. Nick growls her actions could have killed her son’s child! Sami is sorry and meant no harm. Nick snaps if they had not gotten to the hospital in time … Sami explains this is Will’s child, which is why … Nick accuses her of having her own selfish agenda. Sami snaps she simply does not want him to shut her grandchild out of Will’s life. Nick, however, thinks all her family and Will should be shut out of the baby’s life cos she would be much better off without any of them in the picture! Sami is not interested in listening but Nick talks ugly facts. Sami reminds him of his own illustrious past. Nick reminds her he did the time and leers there are some who walk free, some were not yet caught. Sami has no idea what he is getting at. Will is the father of the baby, end of story. She exits. Nick smirks. - At the house of Kiriakis, Kristen claims to have a secret she wishes to share. Brady is uncertain. “What secret?” She sighs her father. He is very ill. In fact, he is living on borrowed time! Brady is sorry and hugs her. Meanwhile, Stefano is wining and dining an Asian woman in Europe! Back in Salem, Brady is sympathetic. Kristen continues with her lie. She claims only she knows her father is dying. It has been such a burden to carry and Brady is the only one she trusts with her secret. He wonders what ails the phoenix. The diabetes is affecting his heart and everything, he is also getting numbness. Lexie had been monitoring his condition. She becomes weepy. The prognosis is not good. It is up to her to look after his rehabilitation, which is why she must be so close to him, hence her request that he move into the mansion. Brady understands. He is sorry but alas it still cannot be! Kristen plays the almost grieving daughter to perfection, with a touch of the helpless female. Brady feels worse by the minute. She laments she must stand by father. Brady understands. She laments she was hoping he would stand by her too. She cannot say no to her father … If they lived together, then the only option would be the mansion. Brady sighs it would drive a knife through his father’s heart, drive Marlena berserk, and the whole family would be hurt. Kristen calls it a hard choice. She adds she knows not how much longer she will have her father. She stands up and sniffles their living together was just a fantasy. Bewitched Brady tells her not to go … - Will glumly lists all of Brian’s great qualities. Sonny reminds him he said he only wanted to be friends. Will explains he only did that cos of all the drama. Sonny declares they will never be able to be just friends! - EJ calmly states he and Samantha are on solid ground now. Rafe gets sarcastic. EJ warns him he shall stand by Samantha and William … and in a custody battle, given Gabi’s reputation and Nick’s history … Sami approaches. Rafe growls to scram and take Sami with him too! Sami assures him she would never try to hurt Gabi or the baby. She hopes he will get in touch if anything changes. He will call Will. EJ places a possessive arm around her and ushers her out. - Sonny takes a step closer and asks Will if he wishes they could start over. Will has tears in his eyes. Sonny sees his soul and gushes he is glad he sent him the Valentine’s present. He gets even closer and they kiss. - Brady agrees to do as Kristen asks. She is elated and wonders when he will start packing. He must first take care of some things. She hugs him and gushes she is so glad he will be there to help her. Brady has one requirement. He wants to be the first one to update loved ones about his new address. He tenderly warns they will think she has him wrapped around her little finger. Kristen is beaming. - Back at the rectory, Nicole stares out the window. Eric returns and wonders what is on her mind. She was reminded of her father by the creepy attacker and wishes he would be caught soon. Eric reassures her and promises she will not be left alone here again. She claims it matters not for she is going away. Eric looks like he has been slapped. - The door to Sonny’s room is thrown open. Will and Sonny make for the bed as they kiss and start to undress each other. Will gasps there is something else and stops … He kept a secret from him and does not want to make the same mistake again … Sonny is listening. - EJ escorts Samantha to the office and tries to convince her to go home and get some sleep. She is wired because of what she did to Gabi. EJ the lawyer points out she was not the cause, there would have been underlying causes. He now notes she took a long time to come back to him at the hospital. Did something happen? Yes, Nick Fallon happened! - Meanwhile, at the hospital, Rafe stops Nick from entering Gabi’s room, for she needs her rest, her sleep. He asks how things are. Unshaven Nick gets a strange look in his eye and mutters he has it all under control. Rafe hopes he will not do anything stupid. Nick only intends to protect Gabi and the baby and insists he will not let what happened yesterday happen ever again! He goes in to watch his beloved while she is sleeping. - Marlena runs into Brady outside the house of Kiriakis, She was looking for him. He stammers he has something to tell her too… - Kristen is on the phone with a vibrant Stefano. When can she expect him? He gazes at his Asian conquest and purrs he is not sure. He has encountered an agreeable delay. Kristen insists she needs him here cos Brady has agreed to move into the mansion with her. When can she expect him? Stefano rages maybe NEVER ...!
