THIS EPISODE WAS TWEETED ONE HOUR AHEAD BY DAYSCAFE :) INTO THE FIRE Episode 12,029 - Replay of Nurse Maxine announcing that Gabi is in labor, Nick staring at Sami cos it is too soon and the baby will not survive! Rafe rubs his forehead with a hand. Will looks ready to cry. - Shirtless Brady is with Kristen in bed and has a surprise. He has been researching condos and presents her with a brochure. Kristen knows a better place with full time staff and plenty of rooms and privacy. He thinks it sounds like a mansion. It is. Her father’s! Brady stares. He assumes she is pulling his leg but she is serious. Dead serious. Brady refuses to dwell at the dastardly DiMera mansion. What would his family think! Kristen suggests his relatives are not all that innocent, like Victor. Brady snaps the shock would kill the Greek tycoon. And John and Marlena would not accept it. Kristen points out Sami and the kids lived there for a while once upon a time. Brady argues that John and Marlena were away in Europe and it was a mistake. A disaster! Kristen pouts. She promised father she would live with him so … if Brady wants to be with her, it has to be there. Brady suspiciously wonders why it is so important to her. - At the coffee house, Kate is daydreaming of her love fest with Rafe as she holds her coffee. Good times. She smiles a mischievous smile. Sonny teases it must be good coffee. Kate purrs she has founds a bold new strong decaf that makes her sleep like a baby! She wonders if Sonny has seen Will. He has and they are still friends, but that is all. Kate notes it is a pity, as they were good together. Sonny agrees they were, for a little while … Lucas now comes in from the cold, having been summoned by Kate, who is worried about Will and the baby. Lucas flashes back to warning Will their secret was out, then casually asks what the problem is. Kate informs him Sami wants a paternity test. Lucas already advised her to make nice but you know Sami. Kate forgives him for making her a great grandma. However, he needs to stop Sami before she ruins everything! Lucas will try to tell Sami to back off, though there are no guarantees. Sami always thinks she is right. - Nick tries to go into Gabi’s room when she screams in pain, Maxine ushers him out and suggests he say a prayer. Nick is losing it. Rafe tries to get him to chill. Nick now demands to know what the hell Sami said to Gabi. She was trying to apologize. Nick and Will are mad. Sami is still talking when EJ comes up behind her. She insists this was not her fault. Rafe drawls it never is. EJ gets an update. Will wants her to leave and Rafe and Nick remain angry. EJ hears Will repeat to leave and solemnly escorts her to another room. - The doctors want to give Gabi an injection to stop the contractions. Cam readies the syringe. Kayla urges Gabi to relax. - Meanwhile, EJ takes Sami into another room. He listens as she complains she feared Nick and Gabi want to keep Will from his child. That was why she and Rafe argued and then Gabi had contractions. She followed them to the hospital and when she was better, went to apologize. EJ muses she snuck in. Sami insists it was a pure coincidence they were fighting at the time and she had contractions. She had children and always fought while pregnant! EJ assures her the doctors will take care of the contractions and then things will calm down. He hugs her with a smile. Sami now calls Lucas to tell him Gabi is in the hospital. She must also tell him she is having contractions and asks him to come for Will, who needs him. Lucas and Kate are nervous wrecks. So is Sonny, who has overheard and is on his way! - Rafe asks Will how he is doing. Badly and it unnerves him that it is taking long to learn anything. Rafe admits it is driving him nuts too. Will cries maybe he is being punished. Rafe insists it is not his fault. And he is sure he will be a great dad. Will tries to put on a brave face and hopes he gets the chance to do the opposite of what his own mom would do while raising his kid. - Nick stands guard outside Gabi’s door and quietly urges her to hang on. Nurse Maxine is inside, calming the hysterical patient. The contractions eventually stop. For a moment anyway. Maxine notes the same thing happened to her. And her baby was fine and now wants to be a doctor. Gabi admits she wants her daughter to be more than her. Sadly, the contractions start again. Maxine gets her to breathe with her, focus only on her breathing … - Kate and Lucas arrive at the hospital. Will is very glad they came. Kate asks what they know. Rafe informs her the doctors are trying to stop the contractions. Kate is sympathetic. The elevator opens and there stands Sonny … - EJ checks in with the sitter. Sami is anxious to get back to the nurse’s station but EJ thinks everyone is raw. He does not want her to go back and get shouted at. They kiss and Lucas clears his throat. Sami confesses this is all her fault. EJ stands up and declares she was ratha overstating. He is still holding her hand. Lucas would like to talk to Sami alone. Sami assures EJ she wants that too and so he steps out.. Sami now blurts out she was yelling at Gabi for delaying taking the paternity test. Lucas flies at her. She had promised she would not cause trouble! Sami cries she is sorry. He realizes she did not intend this to happen. She gasps she is worried about the baby. - Sonny and Will share an emotional hug. Will is touched to see him. Sonny notes they are friends and hopes he is not in the way. Will wants him to stay. Sonny is sympathetic about how hard this must be on him. Will woefully recalls how he just connected with his unborn daughter and was making plans for them together … even for ice skating. Sonny teases him he is not a great skater. Will thinks he would not fall with his daughter holding his hand. Sonny grins he should get lessons and get a head start! He tries to keep Will positive and soon receives something positive in return … - Kayla and Cam try to get the patient to calm down as she gets another painful contraction. As they wait, Rafe confides to Kate that he feels powerless. Maxine comes out and Nick wants an update. She is sorry but the contractions have not entirely stopped. She goes back in. Meanwhile Gabi wants another injection. Not possible Then how about a prayer? Maxine believes that sounds like a fine idea. She joins hands with the others in the room, to ask the Lord to help a little girl… - Rafe complains to Kate about Sami, then decides she might have just been trying to apologize. Kate thinks Sami should be locked up in a room until the baby is born. Rafe is amused. EJ overhears, then approaches Sonny and Will. No news to report. EJ is sorry and explains his motha feels terrible. Will grumbles he can only care about his daughter now and glumly steps away. - After the prayer, Gabi smiles she is not feeling anything. Everyone in the room goes silent. She panics they might think her baby is no longer alive. - Brady stands up and starts to get dressed. This is no simple request! Kristen refuses to turn her back on her evil father. Brady sees no room to compromise and unhappily decides to go. Kristen is stunned when he confesses he cannot even see a way they can be together now! - Kate sits by nervous Nick. She knows he loves Gabi and the baby. He sniffles they are his life. For the first time, he has a purpose on the earth. He now understands what family means. Kate calls Gabi lucky. Nick thinks he is the lucky one. When he met Gabi, all the bad things from his past disappeared. He sighs his life is in that room and he longs to hold her hand, tell her how much he loves her. Kate thinks she already knows. Rafe leans against the door. - Sami wants to go back out and assures Lucas she will behave. She just wants to be near Will when he gets the good news. And so they walk back together, into the fire… - EJ informs Will his motha is just as worried as him. Will coldly nods and walks past her. Nick is pacing. Rafe tries to read a magazine. Time is passing and still no news. Will sits on the floor and raises his eyes to the heavens. EJ and Sami are sitting together, holding hands. He kisses her head. Kate and Lucas turn when the doctors emerge. Sonny watches the scene unfolding. EJ and Sami stand up. Kayla and Cam face the crowd. The doctors bear good news. The contractions have stopped and there is no reason to think she will not have a healthy baby! Everyone breathes a sigh of relief. The docs add that Gabi needs her rest, however and a good sleep. Nick gets it and asks what made it happen. Dehydration. Nick is relieved and promises she will drink a lot of fluids in the future. Cam adds it was also stress. Will grimaces upon learning that stress played a part. All eyes are on Sami. - Kristen fears she overplayed her hand and puts on her coat. She can still get her revenge ...
