Victor roguishly steals a kiss from her. Mel enters and teases they are a couple of teenagers! She updates Maggie the turkey looks good in the oven and she has tried the stuffing! They all miss Dan. Mel hopes he will be alright being alone ... - At the town square, Jack, Jen, and Abigail are together, though they miss JJ, who is skiing in the Alps. Also at the town square, Bo and Hope run into Abe and Lexie. Hope has heard Mayor Abe will be making a speech. The gang now spy EJ and Nicole kissing. Bo grumbles trouble has arrived and Lexie snaps she will not let EJ ruin the mayor's speech! She confronts him but EJ claims he is not working tonight. He drawls he and father are also hoping she and her clan will come to the mansion to celebrate, for this is all about family. Theo arrives and Lexie quips if EJ cared about family, he would not have entered this race! - Alone at the condo, Marlena flashes back to past romantic Christmases with John as she looks at a photo album. Knock knock! Tis Will, who wishes her a Merry Xmas eve. She wipes the tears from her tormented face. Will explains he intends to escort her to Sami's renewal vows event. Marlena points out she was not invited to said event and would not want to be perceived as crashing it. Will insists she will be there. He knows she was crying over a photo album and threatens to stay with her and do the same! Marlena laughs that he has the tenacity of his mother. Will angrily retorts he is nothing like his mother! - At the loft, Sami is in her red dress, searching for her missing shoe. Fairy godfather Austin arrives and assures her he will help! She gasps Johnny is refusing to put on his pants. And now Rafe is running late. He updates her that both Carrie and Rafe are running late as they have had a break in John's case. Sami sulks John might ruin everything again. - Meanwhile, Carrie and Rafe argue their findings to a serious judge behind closed doors. The judge wonders what she suggests. Carrie notes the evidence speaks for itself. All charges must be dropped against her client and he should be set free tonight He asks what the FBI thinks. The other man present mentions going over the latest facts. The judge now dismisses Carrie and Rafe. He will let them know as soon as a decision has been rendered. - Sami, Austin, Jack, Jen, Abigail et al have gathered at the town square. Mayor Abe introduces Santa Doug, who takes his seat at the throne, Julie standing at his side. Santa Doug proceeds to tell the story of Xmas as the kids excitedly watch and listen. Jen gets teary-eyed. Jack stands faithfully beside her. - Marlena and Will soon arrive and she asks whether they will see Gabi. Will explains she is with her mom for the holidays. How is he doing? Will replies their relationship is over. Merlane reminds him she is a psychiatrist. How is he really? Will admits he had felt he and Gabi could make it work. However, he realized he just loved the idea of them, not her. Marlena praises him for having insight. Will sighs he has been having these feelings for a while, which he cannot get rid of ... Perhaps they can discuss this later. Marlena agrees and they go off to greet Sami. Seconds later, EJ emerges, having overheard the telling exchange ...! - Mel is now at the town square and asks Abigail about boyfriend Chad. He is helping out at the soup kitchen with Sonny. Mel wonders what she got him for Christmas. The video game that Mel had suggested. Mel warmly smiles he will love it, she is sure. - Will and Marlena approach Sami. The kids squeal with excitement. Will explains she is there with him. Sensing the tension, Austin takes the kids for cocoa. Sami now requests Marlena leave, as she does not want her there! Will wants to know what the hell is wrong with her. Sami gets testy and Marlena asks her not to take out her anger on Will. She tells her she looks stunning and wishes her luck with the event. Will stops her from leaving and argues to Sami that she claimed she wanted to do this before God and her family. What are they if not family? He decides to depart with grandma Marlena. Sami exclaims to wait. She announces Marlena may stay, as it means much to Will. She implores her not to make her regret this. - Austin sits at a table having cocoa with the kids when lovestruck Abigail happens by, wondering where Carrie is. Working. Flustered Sami rushes up and asks him to continue watching Ally while she takes Sydney and Johnny to see their dad. He agrees. Austin is now left alone with thrilled Abigail and Ally. He goes to get the teen a hot cocoa. She blushes and stares hopefully. - Outside the judge's chambers, Rafe and Carrie discuss the case. He jokes if they do not hurry, he will not be able to renew his vows. She helps him with his tie. Their eyes lock. Carrie now gets a call from the judge. "What? I don't believe it!" - Sami agrees to let Nicole and EJ walk around with Johnny and Sydney for the time being. Will sarcastically states he knows Sami is getting along so well with EJ these days and taunts her that this is her fifth marriage. Ominous music is heard as he warns Rafe will soon figure out who she really us. He sure did! Sami sadly asks what is going on. Will bitterly threatens to tell everyone what she did! - Hope is seated with Bo, who is wearing a Santa hat. He charmingly hands her a Christmas gift. She opens it. Tis the first edition of the book of poetry he gave her on her 18th birthday. Hope is very moved. He now presents her with a happy anniversary gift. Tis a beautiful necklace. He thanks her for being his wife. They exchange I love yous and a kiss. - EJ sits on a bench with Nicole. He boasts he is a man who has it all. Life could not be betta! They kiss as Sydney and Johnny play at their feet. - Near the archway, Will accuses Sami of doing whatever she wants. But he will not allow her to hurt more innocent people. She cries she does not know what he means. He leers she knows ... Rafe interrupts and reminds Will this is the holidays, no time to argue. Will storms off. Sami sniffles she is glad Rafe came. He is dapper in his suit and drawls he would not miss this for the world. He has something to tell her and they walk off together arm in arm.
