PART 1 - Madison is on a videoconference call and ends by boasting of the increase in sales thanks to the men's line. Brady is impressed and teases she must have a crystal ball stashed somewhere. She teases does he think it was a good decision to acquire Mad World? He is sure it was the best decision and emotionally says so. Their eyes lock. Brady drawls she has a head for business and also creativity. She refers to them sleeping together and he insists it is more. She is not comfortable with labels and quips they are dating. Brady continues to praise her accomplishments. She admits someone once told her to think big. Brady asks who the guy was, as he senses he had a big impact. Madison airily replies he was just an old colleague ... She hastily changes the subject and asks if he always wanted to take over the family biz. Negative. As a kid he had other plans. She presses him to spill. He confesses he dreamed of being an astronaut when he was a boy. Did he want to fight aliens? No, he wanted to find his mother. His dad had named a star for her. She is sorry and asks if he remembers her. Brady laments he was only three months old when she died. He used to stare at the sky and talk to her. He felt he could tell her to come home. Madison is touched and they hug. - Sami and Rafe are on the phone. He is at the pub drinking coffee and cannot come home just yet. He is working on something for John and just picking up some food for the gang. Sami laments they have only $62 on their bank account. Rafe promises he will step up his job search after the holidays. Sami is stressed because of the bills. The kids need things and it will soon be Christmas! He wonders if they should postpone their wedding renewal vows. She insists that means way too much to her to cancel. He assures her all will be well. They exchange I love yous and she opens her knocking door. Tis Kate, who declares Santa is early and she is going to change her life! Sami laughs she is more like a witch than Santa. Kate repeats she will change her life. Sami jokes she might put someone on death row. Kate notes she holds a grudge. But she is there to talk Countess Wilhelmina. Sami acts coy. Kat realizes she needs to spell out what she already implied. She is offering a job - to work for her at Countess Wilhelmina! Sami quips but they hate each other! Kate tells her to have a seat and points out it would be a smart business move. Sami is a talented and savvy businesswoman. Sami's eyes narrow. She suspects Kate is playing her. Kate assures her she is sincere and wants to have her as an executive. Sami suspects she intends to fire her after she leaves Madison. Kate suggests she look at this objectively. She would not want her grandchildren to be on the street. Sami thinks she wants EJ to get his kids. Kate explains that is not the case. She wants her at CW! She has seen up close how determined she is. She fights tooth and nail for her goals. Sami reminds her they are always opposite goals than hers. Kate thinks that has been a mistake. Sami remarks she must be incredibly obsessed with Madison's company. Kate warns she will bury Madison's company with or without her! Sami refuses to sign on, as she cannot trust her. Kate, realizing she is in financial trouble, offers to double her salary. Sami snaps what is going on! - At the condo, Marlena has more files for Carrie, who laments John wishes to liquidate Basic Black and pay everyone back. Marlena thinks Stefano is the one who deserves to be in jail. They discuss the debt and wonder how Bo and Hope are faring. Bo and Hope soon arrive. Marlena sees the bad news on their faces. Hope explains it is complicated. Bo points out Stefano talked around the issue. He stated he could not help as it was out of his sphere of influence. Carrie wants to know what else he said. Hope explains he mentioned not having access to the information, which was not like a faucet that could be turned on and off. Hope feels he was giving them as much of a clue as he could! Marlena's eyes widen. Rafe wishes he had been more clear. Hope reminds them the phoenix likes his games. Bo vows they will figure this out. Marlena nods and smiles when it happens, John will be a free man. Meanwhile, Carrie is concentrating. Marlena thinks Stefano can get anything he wants, given what a man of power he is. Bo suddenly announces he might not have been talking about himself. Hope notes it could be John. Carrie smiles and adds she knows! - Brady has taken Madison to the mansion, to admire the big, fantastic telescope grandpa Victor gave him as a boy. She would like him to show her the constellations. In high school, she always liked the nerdy guys. Brady sets it up. She takes a look and he tells her that is Perseus. He rescued Andromeda from a sea monster. They fell in love and ended up together. Madison wants to see more and caresses his head as he readjusts the telescope. He shows her the star that he thought was his mother. She is glad he is sharing this with her. He murmurs he would hide nothing from her and they kiss at the open window. He holds her in his arms and they gaze up at the magical night sky together. - Kate claims she has no agenda, but Sami suspects EJ put her up to it. She starts to yell about EJ ruining her life. Kate had thought they had made things better between them when Johnny went missing. Sami loses it. Did EJ say something?! Kate wonders what she is really so upset about ...!
