Carrie thinks John did not have access to what was needed to commit the crime. That clue is still not enough. Hope wants them to go back to the big picture. The kind of thing you can turn on and off, like a faucet. What does it mean? The guys free associate. Marlena gets the coffee in the elegant silver pot. She tells Carrie how grateful she is for her help. It is the least she could do. Carrie recalls how she raised her while bio-mama Anna was running around Europe. She is in communication with Anna now, though it is still Marlena she calls for advice. Marlena always felt she was her daughter and praises her for the woman she has become. Carrie praises her as her role model. Marlena wishes Sami felt the same way. Carrie assures her Sami loves her. Marlena hopes things will improve but is glad Carrie and Sami are no longer fighting over the same man, like the old days. Carrie agrees but then glances at Rafe, who is looking right at her from across the room! - At the mansion, Madison charmingly tells Brady she used to wish upon her first star of the night that her father would come back. Brady is sorry. She recalls how hard her mom was always working. Brady deduces she often stepped in to look after the others. Her wish never came true. Brady is sorry life was hard on her. She thinks there is no need to be, for that hardship made her who she is. Brady thinks she is perfect and kisses her. They soon have drinks and talk some more. Brady asks about her father. It tormented her that he choose that other woman. Brady can identify to a certain extent. Madison notes it is a miracle they turned out the way they did! - At the loft, Sami fumes about EJ. Kate assures her she will keep him at bay. She just wants to use her as a good executive. Sami asks what else is in it for her. She likes what she does at Mad World. Kate reminds her that Madison treats her terribly and is carrying on with Brady! Sami remembers they did not succeed in working together before. Diva Kate sarcastically reminds her she blackmailed her for the job back then. They get serious again. Kate knows how hard it is for kids when their mother struggles and she wants her grandkids to be happy and well fed. Will she accept the job? Sami is clearly conflicted. She does not want to take the risk. Kate would like her to see it is an amazing opportunity for her kids and also her marriage. Money problems lead to divorce quite often! Sami insists she and Rafe are solid. Kate brings up the kids again. That money would go a long way. She advises her former nemesis not to let her stubbornness turn down a great opportunity. Sami refuses to decide quickly, especially given their twisted history. She will give it serious consideration. Kate would like her to keep this offer a secret for now. Sami agrees. Kate now warns her the chance might not come again and waltzes out. Sami sighs. - Bo gives the gang a pep talk about getting the missing piece they need. What would John need besides a password to get into the funds he was accused of transferring? Rafe suddenly realizes he would need the internet! Eureka! - At the mansion, Madison and Brady cuddle on the sofa. She wants them to go for a walk under the stars. Just the two of them. She touches his face and smiles he should impress her with his sexy knowledge of the universe. They kiss. He grins "Let’s take s walk!" They kiss at the front door and he heads upstairs to get their coats. - Back at the condo, Bo decides they must get to work and contact John's internet provider, in case they were down at the time of the crime. Carrie mentions his cell. Rafe agrees they must check the history of that connection too. Carrie muses what if John had not had access to the internet the day he was accused of transferring the funds? The gang realize the files claiming he had committed the crime would not hold up. Marlena exclaims they are finally going to prove John's innocence and smiles a wide smile ...
