| Thursday, December 6, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up in the afternoon of December 5 THE PERFECT SETUP! - Nicole enters the rectory calling out for Father Eric. No one answers so she impatiently presses a button on his phone to ask if Sister Anne has seen him. Negative. She now finds out he went back to sleep and has apparently been ordered to make less noise. She sits down in his chair at the desk and reminds herself to be caaaalm. - Meanwhile shirtless Eric is in his bed, tossing, turning, gasping please don’t! Nicole hears him shout to STOP as his voice echoes through the vent. She looks up and wonders. Eric wakes up in a cold, nervous sweat. - Jen has been up all night in her lilac bathrobe and daughter Abigail notes she does not appear to be well. She is not! Her stomach feels terrible and she cannot hold any food down. She explains to concerned Abigail it is from the stress of realizing what she did. It is all her fault that Daniel will never be a surgeon again! Abigail wonders what the medicine man will do now, - Dan shakes and slams down the kettle in his kitchen. Maggie arrives at his door and gives him a hug. He rubs his hands and murmurs he is fine but the redhead has her doubts. She sits in his living room and proceeds to blame Jen for pushing too hard, though he will hear none of it. He knew it was a gamble and went full steam ahead regardless. Maggie gets miffed about Jen but he stops her. He is very tired as he has not had much time for sleep, and he also was supposed to update Mel via long distance. It has been a rough night. Maggie points out all might not be lost. There is a slight chance he is experiencing a delay in responding to the treatment. Dan refuses to have false hope. Maggie wonders what he will do now. - In her room, Kristen leers someone is about to get the shock of their life as things are coming together purrfecty. EJ wonders why she is so ecstatic. Because her plan has become so beautiful she could cry! EJ quips her explanation is too cryptic, albeit useless. She would rather not jinx it by sharing. He assumes John must be the prize. She begs to differ. He is no longer what she has her sights set on, as everyone shall soon learn! EJ wonders why she is in Salem if not for John. For her family. He laughs at that. She now talks Sami. He thinks are going well, if only Hernandez would stay away. He suggests she might be able to help. Perhaps she could spend some time with him, nose around. Kristen cackles he wants a decoy to keep Rafe away from Sami. EJ adds he is also handsome if one likes the blue collar gun totting type. Kristen assures him he will be able to win Sami on his own merits. Besides her plate is presently too thrillingly full. - At the town square café, Marlena repeats she has something to tell John that he will hate. He drawls he can take it. She flashes back to Kristen in bed with Brady and explains this is about his son. John stares. He wrongly assumes she is referring to Brady going after Kristen and insists he does not want him mixed up in this situation. Marlena exclaims but he IS mixed up in it. Brady arrives on scene, greets his father and stepmother, and charmingly asks mixed up in what? Marlena is surprised to see him. John hopes he will be at lunch. Brady grins he is looking forward to their lunch with Eric. Moments later John steps away to take a call from a petulant buyer. Brady plops himself down and hopes things are alright with Marlena. She stares and wonders how he is. He explains his head is fine from that concussion. John comes back and he and Brady laugh about the client who calls every holiday with a problem. Marlena remains seated, her eyes filled with dread. Dread about what she knows. - Maggie takes Daniel’s hand and reminds him a doctor is one whose patients need him. She advises him to go to the hospital but he talks time off. He simply cannot face Jen and the suffocating look of pity she continually wears. Maggie is sympathetic. He laments whatever they could have had was killed by this tragedy. There is no chance for them anymore. He steps away when the kettle whistles. - Jen walks around in her lilac bathrobe, unhappily recounting to Abigail that Dan does not even know how she feels. Abigail wonders. Jen insists she is sorry and wants to make it up to him. She suddenly decides to go see him at the hospital. Abigail thinks she should wait, but Jen the tormented is determined to make things right between them, sooner rather than later ... - Father Eric is now dressed and pours himself a coffee by a statue of the Madonna and child. Nicole is still in his office and informs him she heard him shouting through the vent. He was asleep. She notes he does not look well rested. He suddenly snaps to back off! Nicole is caught off guard. She approaches his desk and apologizes for offending him. He sighs to drop it. She does. He now hands her an envelope to deliver to Justin Kiriakis in person. At the Kiriakis mansion. Nicole picks up her keys, then pauses. She is reluctant to show her face at Victor’s house. Victor is not the problem, though. Maggie, Daniel’s mother, is quite angry with her. He suggests she ask for her forgiveness. Nicole laments it is not getting easier. He sternly reminds her she must take responsibility for what she did but she loathes being reminded how she ruined things with Daniel. It remains a sore point. - Dan sips his tea and tells Maggie he has no concrete plans. He might take off for a while. She suggests the Horton cabin, where the medical supplies for the whole island need to be updated. He muses she is sending him to a portable hospital. She assures him it would be a big help and the lake is especially beautiful in winter. There is no wifi, no cell phone tower … Dan is sold on the lack of communications and thanks her for taking care of him. She gushes at least she finally can and calls him son. Family hug! - John teases Brady if he gets bored with Titan, he is welcome back at Basic Black. He now notes Marlena wanted a moment alone. She decides she is running late and excuses herself. Brady feels badly for making her take off in such an abrupt manner. John admits things have been tense. Brady asks what he can do to help. John sighs she misunderstood a moment between him and Kristen but is confident it will blow over. He will steer clear of Kristen. Brady appears relieved. He explains he must make a phone call. John will see him later and saunters off. - EJ watches Kristen and wonders whether she is expecting a call. Ring ring! She gushes she must take this but is not willing to share and sees him off at the door. She then answers and Brady wants to know if she is ready for a surprise! - At the hospital, Dr. Dan updates nurse Maxine on his replacement whilst he is on Smith Island. She suggests they still need his skills here, however. He advises her to keep everyone in line. They joke and he turns, only to come face to face with Jen. She whispers hi. Their eyes lock. Maxine quips he forgot to sign out. He turns back to sign the vacation log. Jen discovers he is taking a few days off. She gasps she wanted him to know she does not feel pity, as he suggested. Dan informs her he cannot bear to talk about this and walks away. Jen blinks. - Brady declares he cannot get Kristen out of his head. He is coming over after lunch! Kristen claims she could not live with coming between him and his family. He is pretty sure he is the last thing on their minds so no one will notice. Kristen’s eyes narrow. She is clearly not pleased to hear he saw John and Marlena at the square and they acted like they suspected nothing. Brady credits his poker face. He repeats he is coming over. She agrees and gets off the phone, then rages Marlena did not tell John. It was the perfect setup! She grumbles that bitch will not ruin it for her and storms off to get to the bottom of things ... - Marlena arrives at the hospital and anxiously talks to herself by the coffee at the nurse’s station. She wonders what that Kristen is up to, not telling Brady that she saw them together! - When the Kiriakis doorbell rings, Maggie opens the door to Nicole, who hands her the envelope from St. Luke’s for Justin. The redhead curtly thanks her. Nicole wants a word. Maggie has a meeting. Nicole wants only to make amends. Maggie now lets her in. Nicole is sorry for what she did to Daniel and Jen and would go back if she could do it all over again … Maggie gets a call so she cuts her off, thanks her, and naively asks her to show herself out. In the other room, she takes the call from Hope and explains Daniel will be replenishing the medical supplies on Smith Island. Nicole takes it all in. She grins and walks out the door, then texts Father Eric. She pretends she is off to see a sick friend tonight and will not be back ... - Marlena primly prepares her coffee. Kristen storms in, ready for a showdown ... - EJ walks down the stairs at the town square. He greets Father Eric, who was trying to reach him. Eric explains the building fund would very much like to have a photograph of him handing over his generous check. EJ is surprised and jokes a photo of a DiMera would only help the cause for out of towners perhaps, not the locals. Eric muses he seems to know fundraising . He hopes things will go well with Kristen on the board. EJ assures him that things will run smoothly. Eric is hoping they will get along. EJ is certain they will. He has someone else on his mind ... - Marlena wants to walk away from Kristen but Kristen taunts she knows she saw her with Brady! She flippantly states they just happened. Marlena exclaims to shut her lying mouth! - Tired Jen catches up with Maxine to tell her how worried she is about Dan. She urges her to share where he has gone. Resistance is futile! Maxine considers. She decides no one said it was a secret and updates Jen that he has gone to Smith Island in order to take much needed supplies to the Horton cabin.
