| Friday, December 21, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up on December 20 GOING GAGA - Grandma Caroline warmly hugs Father Eric at the pub and teases she had heard a priest was looking for her. He wants to share a cup of tea but she suspects he really wants to make sure she is not going gaga again! They sit with their tea at a table. Caroline muses family members continue to check up on her. She would rather talk about him and praises him for his upcoming midnight mass. Eric yawns and it does not go unnoticed. Caroline worries he is doing too much. He admits he needs more sleep. She has heard he runs every board meeting, plus he will be marrying Nick and Gabi. It does seem a heavy workload for a new priest. Eric proposes a deal. He will stop worrying about his grandmother provided she stop worrying about him. She agrees, then notes he is acting like he is trying to prove something. He does not deny it as he yearns to be the perfect priest. Caroline, however, remarks he seems different. He suggests he is mature and has more responsibilities but she claims it is something else. There is something uneasy about him. It all began after he returned from Africa. Eric anxiously diverts his gaze. - Ponytail Nicole is shopping about the town square and greets Chad. She smiles it is good to see him, adding she has been exiled from DiMeraland. He drawls they don’t really care about each other and suspects she wants something from him. Nicole explains there is a draw for Christmas for kids at St Luke’s. It got her so much into the Christmas spirit that she was inspired to buy Sydney some presents. She is hoping he can place them under the tree for her so the little girl does not forget her. Chad offers to show her a photo of Sydney with Santa. She gushes in admiration. “I miss her so much!” Sympathetic Chad wishes there was something he could do but if he put her presents under the tree, EJ would not react favorably. She understands and woefully wishes him a Merry Christmas. His heart filled with good cheer, Chad suddenly gets an idea. He decides he will give little Sydney the presents but no one can know they are from her. Nicole thanks him profusely and decides she will now head home to keep on wrapping. Abigail arrives and announces she was looking … for her! - At the church, John assures nervous Nick that Gabi and Marlena will be fine. Nick sits down and insists he is happy. In fact, he has never been happier! John asks what it is about marrying Gabi that makes him so happy. Nick knew the moment he met her that she was the one he was looking for. She loves him and yet has her own life. In addition, she makes him feel better than he ever has. John sighs. He is surprised and perhaps a tad dubious that it all happened so quickly. Meanwhile, Gabi insists to Marlena that she is not ashamed of anything. Marlena the shrink assumes Gabi is not telling her family her news as Nick is an ex con. Gabi praises him for the sacrifice he is making. Marlena notes he is the father of her baby so there is no sacrifice! She questions her use of that word. Gabi flashes back to telling Will the baby is his and asks Marlena not to twist her words. She and Nick are in love and want to give the baby a wonderful life. It should be sufficient. - At the coffee house, Will plays innocent but Sonny insists there is no need to cover up. “I know what happened between you and Gabi!” he declares. Will calmly asks what he believes he knows happened between him and Gabi. Sonny is convinced he has finally figured it out. The last time Will looked happy was the first night they were together. Then Gabi came to see him, must have said she was pregnant, and that was when Will changed. He thinks it was weighing him down. He adds Will failed to tell him she was pregnant. Teary eyed Will whispers he could not. Sonny wonders why. Will can only say he is sorry. Sonny sits with him and states it should have entered his mind that he would figure this out. He recalls how ill Gabi appeared the day Will asked him for money. Meanwhile Nick had no clue. Sonny now knows Will needed the money for her abortion. Will agrees he is right. That’s not all, though. Sonny is pretty sure there was a reason Gabi wanted Will to go to the abortion clinic with her … - Nick becomes defensive and John notices he keeps looking at the door. Nick is admittedly uncomfortable without his fiancée at his side. He adds he had no idea John and Marlena would be the vet couple for the session and laments Marlena met with him in prison and knows every bad thing about him. What if she warns Gabi he will be a lousy husband or father! Meanwhile, Marlena explains to Gabi that she would not have initially agreed to do the Pre-Cana session, given her history with Will. In fact, had Will returned her feelings, she might be sitting here discussing her grandson with her! Gabi shifts her gaze uncomfortably. She still cares about Will as her friend but no one has made her happy like Nick, who returns her love. And she met him at such a difficult time in her life. He made her feel things would get better. Marlena smiles and asks what it was about him that made her feel that way. He loved her unconditionally and she knew. Marlena can relate. - Abigail thanks Nicole for helping Dan save her mom. It could not have been easy. Nicole replies it was not but she has made her peace with it and just wants Daniel to be happy. She hopes she and hers will have the happiest Christmas. Abigail thanks her and wishes her the same. Exit Nicole. Chad praises Abigail for her kind words. Abigail notes the lonely woman has nothing left and praises him for being sweet about Sydney. He drawls she loves that kid, then notices Abigail carrying a new dress she just bought. She boasts about being the maid of honor for Gabi’s wedding. He gets sarcastic. She warns him Gabi is her friend and if they spend time together, he will just have to deal with it! She also knows that Gabi is not Chad’s favorite person, for some mysterious reason, and wants him to tell her why … - Will is sorry. He admits he took Gabi to the clinic as she wanted him to. It was her decision. Sonny agrees but points out he still had the right to know what he was paying for. Will recounts how Rafe and his mom showed up, then Nick came and Gabi changed her mind. If he could take things back, it would all be different. Sonny assures him it is alright for he understands. Will is surprised. “You do? You really understand?” Read Part 2 of GOING GAGA ...! |
