He promises to stay there for her and the baby. Just then Carrie comes by and hears. She stands at the door and keeps listening, occasionally trying to see in. Rafe sits and assures Nicole he wants what is best for the baby. Nicole is sorry people must think badly of him for sinking low enough to be with her. Rafe tenderly states those people misjudge her, just as he used to. He lists her good qualities. Nicole nervously gasps she cannot lose this baby. Rafe promises she will be fine and she will love again, too. He places his hand on hers and drawls they both will. He calmly asks if he can go get the test results from Daniel now. Nicole agrees and thanks him. She does not know what she and baby would have done without him! Exit Rafe. - Chad holds the headless barbie. Abigail enters and wonders what that is. Gabi claims she is being stalked! Mel stares. Abigail reads the note that model girl will be next and wonders who could be so sick! They all sit and discuss. Gabi insists this is not the first time she has been contacted by the unstable secret admirer. First there were flowers left at her door, then bitter notes, and now this! Chad thinks they should call the cops but Gabi protests. Why, that would run everything! The gang stare at her in surprise. Gabi reasons Rafe would find out and make her stop modeling. Mel notes the alternative is to risk danger! Gabi assures them she can be extra cautions and will be fine. Kayla brings Mel and Chad their order to go. Mel announces they must stay to make sure Gabi is alright. Chad agrees. No Chicago trip this time. Gabi tells her friends they are the best. - Madison is in a meeting with Brady and Justin. Legal eagle Justin has reviewed mad Madison's options and explains Ian was within his rights. In fact, it was a business coup for him to make Kate her Co-CEO. Madison, however, thinks Kate will stab her in the back. Justin is sorry he did not have better news. He suggests Brady bring Madison for dinner with him and Adrienne sometime so they can get to know her better. Madison agrees. Exit Justin. Brady tries to get Madison to calm down about having to work with Kate. He suddenly grabs her and they end up on the boardroom table, getting hot and heavy. He now has Madison's interest ... - Stefano orders one of his men on the phone to get information on the gas in the tunnel. It could be a matter of life and death! EJ has entered the mansion and solemnly notes what he has heard is true. His daughta could die because of what he did to her! Stefano takes a deep breath. He has done nothing to Alexandra. EJ reminds him she could be dying because of the gases in the tunnels under the house, where she was once held because of him. Stefano denies the charge. EJ believes he should be punished for hurting his family. Stefano rages he is losing his daughter and is that not enough! EJ coldly points out it is not about him, but Lexie and the loved ones who are losing her. Stefano emotionally insists they must try and save her. EJ accuses him of holding her captive in those tunnels once upon a time. Stefano explains it was Andre and he knew nothing about it. EJ does not believe him and remarks he will never trust him again. He stole John Black's money and tried to steal the election from him. What would make a man turn on his son like that! Stefano retorts he has not been acting like a son. He has been acting like a crazy child. EJ sends the chess pieces flying and rages what child would do what he did. No child, for he is a man and he is his son who follows him in his footsteps, only to get nothing in return. He glares daggers at him. "You steal billions from me!" Stefano suggests he take a good look at himself. EJ rages he undermines every single thing he does. Stefano sighs to stop. EJ continues regardless. He wonders if he does not want him to take the reins of the family, for he is in reality too afraid to give up the power. Stefano grumbles that he is wrong and looks at him intently. "Everything I did, I did because I love you!" He sits and laments the fates are gathering. Sadly, it is only a matter of time before they destroy him or someone he loves! He repeats he loves him. EJ is led to believe that Stefano has been testing him. He points out Nicole understood why he was running for mayor. He praises her for succeeding in spite of Stefano's attempts. The phoenix becomes emotional about children and murmurs they are precious. EJ questions why he has been pushing him away these past weeks. Stefano pauses ... - Rafe brings Dr. Dan to Nicole with good news. It was cramping caused by stress, but she is otherwise find, just like baby. Once she gets out, she can resume her life. She quips that would mean avoiding EJ like the plague. Rafe thinks he already went home. Dan is concerned his patient is putting herself at risk with this stress. He advises her to tell EJ that he is the father to make herself more relaxed. Rafe becomes silent. Nicole becomes agitated and declares she will do whatever she must to keep her child from being raised as a DiMera. And if EJ finds out the baby is his, she will never even be able to see it! She holds her stomach as Dan urges her to take it easy. Dan and Rafe promise not to tell EJ either if that is her wish. Nicole now gets stressed about the damn paternity test EJ wants her to take. Rafe urges her to just focus on the baby. He will take care of EJ ... - Out in the hall, Carrie runs into Justin. She was there to visit Bo. He suggests he give her name to some colleagues to help her get a job at a law firm. She is grateful. Justin is surprised her business with Rafe did not take off. A lawyer and a P.I. would have been a great combo! Carrie explains it was a mutual decision to dissolve the partnership, but Rafe was great and she would do it all over again! - Nicole is ready for her hospital release. Rafe has stepped out. The nurse goes to see if her husband is nearby. As the nurse walks out, Nicole starts to explain he is not her ... "Husband?" casually asks Carrie. She walks in. Nicole makes a joke. Carrie notes the nurse assumes he is her husband as he has not left her side. Nicole agrees he is a great guy. Carrie hopes she is alright. Nicole explains she was stressed but is fine and so is the baby. This baby means much to her. Carrie realizes it also means a lot to Rafe. She hopes it all works out for them and starts to leave.
