Stefano assures him this is real and dramatically declares he has been the son of his hopes and dreams, as he was for his own father. "Only now ..." EJ gets close and begs him to just tell him what it is. Stefano touches his face. "God help me. God help you!" EJ cries they will work together to help Alexandra. Family sticks together, without blame. With their money and resources, they could even find a miracle. He mentions there are possibilities with stem cells, etc. "We're family." Stefano exclaims he is wrong. He knows he could not help Alexandra as he thinks he could. EJ sadly wonders what he means. The phoenix admits there is something that he needs to tell him and it breaks his heart. EJ stares at him like a lost child. Stefano explains the words will not come and decides he will show him instead of saying. He starts to open the desk drawer to get the envelope containing Alice's letter and the birth certificate. EJ stops him when he must take a call. He learns Nicole has been released from the hospital and then returns to the room. The glass doors are open, Stefano is gone. The wind blows inside the big house ... - Madison and Brady amble along the town square. He wants to talk marriage as soon as possible for she is his dream girl. He has lifted her spirits considerably. They kiss passionately. - Back at the pub, Chad still believes they should call the cops. Last time they took matters into their own hands, they ended up being kidnapped! Gabi disagrees. The police would call attention and would not do much for her. Abigail and Mel decide they will take turns being with her. Gabi asks what about the night. And she does not want anyone’s parents or family to know as they would tell Rafe. Mel suggests she stay with Chad for the nights! She will be there too. It is just until they find the identity of the stalker. Gabi happily flounces to her room to pack. Mel hopes Chad does not mind. He tries to make the best of the Three's Company situation. Gabi excitedly returns with her bag of girlish belongings and feminine tricks. She gushes as Chad carries it. This sudden change of mood is not lost on Abigail, who suspiciously remarks she looks rather happy for someone who is supposed to be a scared stalking victim! - Nicole informs Carrie that she knows she and Rafe became rather close. She babbles there is now a child involved. It could have been Carrie instead of her, but she was the one who got pregnant, not Carrie. One day when she and Austin have a baby of their own, Rafe will feel like ancient history and she will never look back. Carrie bites her lip and her eyes fill with tears. Rafe enters and greets her. Carrie hastily excuses herself. Rafe asks Nicole what happened. The nurse returns. Rafe goes after Carrie. He stops her in the hall, as he has something to say. She cordially explains they already said all that needs to be said. He wants her to hear him out. Carrie interrupts her place is with Austin, while he needs to be there for Nicole and her baby She then walks away. Nicole watches as Rafe sadly sighs. She whispers to herself that she is sorry for Carrie but needs Rafe more than she does! - EJ opens the desk drawer on his own. Empty. He frowns. Meanwhile, Stefano walks through the town square carrying the envelope and takes a seat on a bench. He curses to the heavens and asks how he can do this. "How am I to tell Elvis that he’s not my son?" He closes his eyes with a sorrowful sigh. END |
